I look at the two new guests and say.
"Good morning, Jon, Veronica."
They look at and bow a little.
"Good morning, Heir Gwyndolin."
"It is nice to et you once again, Heir Gwyndolin."
I sigh a little and say.
"Please call Gwyn or at least Gwyndolin, you two. We are friends, no?"
Jon and Veronica smile a little at my word.
"Sorry about that, Gwyn," Jon says with a smile. "It has been a long ti, and I thought you have changed."
"What? It has been only a few months, Jon. I will not change that quickly."
"Well, you never know. A lot of nobles near my father’s territory change a lot with only a month of ti."
"Well, I’m not most people, am I?"
Jon laughs and says.
"That you are. Anyway, what is going on?"
Before I could say sothing, Catharina beat to it.
"Gwyn over here wants to take us to see his secret garden."
Jon looks at her for a few seconds before saying.
"This is not so kind of secret code, right?"
"What? No! He wants to show around the secret garden where he plants all the dical plants he uses to make potions and dicines."
"Ah, that." Jon looks at and says. "Are you sure? This is a secret garden for a reason, you know?"
I smile at him and say.
"I don’t mind. Ordinary people cannot find this place. Only soone who I allow to co can see this place."
"Ah, magic?"
"Magic barrier, yes."
"Got it. Sure. I don’t mind. What about you, Veronica?"
"As long as he is willing to let touch his gun."
Jon ssages his temple and says.
"Phrasing, Veronica. It sounds like you want to touch his dick rather than the gun he has."
"What?"
"Touching his gun. You would not move if not for him letting you touch his gun. What does that sound like?"
Veronica widens her eyes after a few seconds of thinking, and her face gets as red as a tomato. Vida starts to laugh out loud and says.
"You guys are great! This is sothing that I want to see instead of nobles kissing the sand I step on."
Jon looks at Vida and says.
"And you are?"
"The na is Vida, only Vida. Nice to et you!"
"Vida, huh? My na is Jonathan Rellios Verqur. Nice to et you."
Veronica walks forward and says.
"My na is Veronica Yorn. It is nice to et you."
Vida grins and says.
"I know that we will be best friends from now on!"
Our pleasant conversation was interrupted by the food vendor, who was carrying six sausages on sticks.
"I’m sorry to interrupt you, young master. The food is ready."
"Right. Thank you."
"It is my pleasure, young master. If there is anything else, please let know."
"Of course."
I give my companion the sausage and look at Jon and Veronica.
"What about you? Do you want so?"
Jon and Veronica shake their heads.
"You don’t need to buy us sothing, Gwyndolin." Jon says, "We already eat when we are negotiating the price for the potions and dicines."
"I see. Well, it is your choice. Anyway, let’s go. It only takes thirty to forty minutes of casual riding to the garden. First thing first, we need to visit the stable and take so horses to take us to my garden."
=/Line Break/=
After riding for thirty-five minutes, we arrived in front of a giant lake. I smile a little as I feel a subtle barrier that we just passed. I kneel in the middle of the flower garden and pat the lily gently. A second later, our environnt changed into sothing else entirely.
"What?!"
Freyja takes out her spear and is ready to attack anything that gets close. I quickly raise my hand and say.
"Woah! Hold it there, Freyja. This is the barrier to registering your presence temporarily."
She puts away her weapon and looks around. The empty lake is now full of life. On the opposite side of the lake is a small village, but it is special as the people living there are elves instead of humans.
After I add them to the barrier, they can see the entire area, and I can see the elves start coming to us. The current leader of the elves is the first one to co to us, bow a little, and say.
"Welco, my lord."
"Please call Gwyn, Navarre."
"I cannot do that, my lord. You have helped us greatly in the past, and we cannot pay our debt to you even if we spend our natural lifespan. That is the least kind of thing we can do."
I can only sigh and nod my head.
"Right. The reason why I ca here is to show my friends around the garden."
"Of course, my lord. Any friend of yours is a friend of ours. Let take you to the garden."
I nod, and we follow Navarre to the elven village. While we are walking around the lake, Vida and Freyja get close to . Vida leans closer to and says.
"You never once said that you have elves in your territory."
"Well, I don’t see the reason why I should tell you about them. They are citizens of my family, and we will protect them all the sa."
"That is true."
Vida nods her head in understanding while Freyja leans closer to and whispers.
"I hear they are masters of archery. Is it true?"
"Well, yeah. Jonathan and Silva learn from them, you know?"
"Really?"
"Yup. Speaking of training, I need to ask them if they can teach Hilda so of their archery techniques and maybe ask them to continue teaching Silva and Jonathan."
"You don’t need to ask anyone, my lord."
Ah, right. I forget that Elves have better hearing than humans. They are not as good as a certain race of Beastn, but they have excellent hearing.
"My father is more than willing to teach them how to bow. He likes teaching, and it will give him sothing to do other than nagging to get married."
Ah, he is on that stage, huh? The stage of a young man where he did not want to get tied by matrimony.
"Anyway, we are about to arrive in the village. I apologize in advance, my lord."
"Huh? What do you an?"
"You will see."
And I imdiately know what kind of thing he is talking about after I step inside the village.
"My lord!"
"My lord! It has been a long ti!"
"Are you okay?! You look thin, my lord!"
"Oh my! Is this Lady Cunnigham? Co here, my lady. I will teach you sothing about taking care of your husband."
"Is this your fiance, my lord? She looks cute!"
Right. The elves’ woman beca an aunt who did not have anything to do after their husband died. I slowly push them away and manage to get into the garden area.
"What was that?!"
I look at Navarre in shock.
"They are a bit unhinged because of your absence, my lord. They did not have any more babies to spoil, and they are hoping you will have a baby soon for them to spoil every ti you visit the village."
Their motherly sense is going overload.
"What happened to the last baby?"
"Nothing happened. The family that has the baby decides to be a rchant and go east to trade so of the vegetables we plant. They will be back tomorrow, but it has been a week since the won in this village can release their motherly energy."
Right.
"Anyway! How is the garden doing?"
Navarre nods and spreads his arms.
"You can look at it yourself, my lord. While they are a bit unhinged at the ti, the won in our village are the experts in gardening. The n will ensure the plant gets properly watered, while the won take care of it to check if there is a parasite or if it is sick. We also make sure to do our monthly prayer to our God, and he seems happy with our hard work."
Kilo-An, the God of the Forest and the God that Forest Elves worship. Other than God of the Forest, he is also God of the Hunt, Bow, and Arrow. That is why these people are masters of bow, arrow, and master of tracker.
The only reason why they get beaten by the monster is that they are physically weak. They are great magicians and archers, but they are glass cannons. A good hit can defeat them or even kill them.
"What do you an happy?"
He smiles at and says,
"He is happy that we finally found soone that nature loves."
"What?"
Navarre walks toward and points his finger at my chest.
"You are the chosen one, my lord. Nature loves you, and our God has declared that you are his envoy in the world. You might not know this, but if you see Forest Elves, they will serve you because you are our chosen king."
I can only look at him in shock and utter a single word.
"What?"
