"We can’t drag this out any longer. Look, many new small beastn have arrived, and there are even Tiger warriors from the Golden Kingdom. We must be careful not to let them find out news about His Highness the Prince."
After thinking carefully, Fanta finally spoke up.
Thinking of the beastn who had arrived at the Hadu tribe in the past few days, the expressions of the other Elves were grim.
The Golden Kingdom and the Elf tribe had a feud as deep as a sea of blood; the feeling they brought was completely different from the feeling the beastn of the Hadu tribe gave.
A puzzled Elf said: "I don’t know what they ca here for."
The Golden Kingdom and these scattered beastn had engaged in fierce provocations years ago. But after a few days of observation, they noticed these beastn lived together quite harmoniously.
Aside from the small beastn who were still timid, the others had no conflicts. Especially the Tiger warriors; they stayed here openly.
The Elves didn’t know what agreent they had reached, only knowing that in this situation, the longer they stayed, the easier it was to cause conflict. On the first day the Tiger tribe arrived, they had nearly gotten into a brawl.
Currently, the Elf side had few people, carried injuries, and hadn’t recovered their magic; it was best to return to the Elf Forest first.
Pepsi spoke cautiously:
"Recently, the Golden Kingdom has made big moves, but regardless of what they want to do, we must look out for ourselves first. Since His Highness the Prince refuses to acknowledge us, he must have his own difficulties. It’s better for us to leave first."
The reason the Elves had searched frantically for the Prince before was fear that he was seriously injured after the great battle with the Dragon tribe and wandering sowhere, or worry that he had been captured by the Dragon tribe to threaten the Elves.
But after days of observation, Pepsi discovered that the person suspected to be His Highness the Prince was living... quite well?
Not only did he treat the young Chief of the Hadu tribe as a student, but the attitude of the Dwarves and other beastn toward him was also very gentle, even welcoming.
This made them, who were also Elves but constantly despised, feel extrely complicated.
After careful consideration, the Elves finally decided not to delay anymore and accelerated the progress of leveling the remaining land.
If they hadn’t wanted to stay longer these past few days, the Elves, having recovered so magic, could have solved it with a single spell.
Until the mont they left, Pepsi and the other Elves still didn’t have a chance to be alone with Evan. In helplessness, under the hateful gazes of the beastn and Dwarves of the Hadu tribe, the Elves took the tax prepared by the Dwarves and left.
Evan did this to punish Pepsi’s recklessness and also out of fear of being discovered by the beastn, hence his effort to avoid them. A few days after Pepsi left, he also planned to leave.
His identity in the tribe was known only to Max, Michael, and Grass.
Since coming to the Hadu tribe, Evan had always been very low-key. Later, he spent most of his ti cultivating magic in the forest. People in the tribe hadn’t seen him for a long ti, and the tribesn’s attention toward him gradually waned.
This ti, Evan leaving didn’t raise much suspicion; people thought he was going out to practice magic as usual. Lately, he often left without a sound and returned without a footprint.
Early that morning, Eric went out to see Evan off, attracting no one’s gaze. They thought the two were going to learn magic again. An industrious Dwarf who rose early to forge even greeted them.
It was no wonder no one noticed anything unusual; Evan had the Divine Moon Ring to store items. The salted at, sausages, glass noodles, and dried pho that Eric gave him were all stored inside. He didn’t have a single bundle on him, looking nothing like soone about to travel far.
It was embarrassing to say, but Evan gave Eric the most important symbiotic leaf of the Elf tribe, while Eric turned over his entire warehouse and cellar at ho and found that, apart from Max’s engagent token (a bag full of high-level magic cores), there were only vegetables, grains, and other foods.
At the parting, Eric felt very reluctant, but he couldn’t give away the things Max gave him. He could only find so dishes he made himself to give to Evan and hand-copy many recipes, hoping that Evan, having gotten used to the cafeteria’s taste, could still eat these dishes after returning.
Evan turned around and said: "Alright, seeing off to here is enough. Going further is outside the Hadu tribe’s territory; be careful of danger."
Eric knew that a few more steps would take him out of the territory, so he could only lower his head reluctantly and say: "Evan, you must be careful on the road. Pepsi’s group has been gone for a few days; can you really catch up?"
Evan smiled indifferently: "It’s fine, I can find a flying beast on the way."
This is even more like a Shaman, Eric silently admired.
Imdiately after, Evan instructed again: "Right, your Marble bird egg should be hatching in the next few days. You have to pay attention; the flying magic beast will be close to the first person it sees upon breaking the shell."
Unexpectedly, Evan was so ticulous. Eric had long forgotten about this, having been so busy lately that he hadn’t interacted with the little one in the shell. He replied with embarrassnt:
"I almost forgot. I’ll definitely keep a close watch when I get back."
Evan nodded. Just as he took a step, he seed to think of sothing and turned back:
"Eric, are you sure you want to give all the formulas for bean products and glass noodles? If I give them to my royal father, the Elf tribe will also sell these things as commodities. Have you thought about that?"
Eric scratched his head in distress:
"I didn’t think that far. I just worried you wouldn’t be able to eat these dishes when you got back, so I gave you the recipes to make them yourself. You treat so well; I have to repay you. And even if you treat them as commodities, it doesn’t matter. I’m just happier that they are useful."
After recovering his Elf body, Evan’s tall figure was incredibly handso. His ink-blue hair was tied back, with loose strands floating like silk. His eyes were both gentle and deep, complicated and hard to describe:
"You always treat those around you so well. Be careful not to be deceived."
But Evan had even given him the symbiotic leaf; Eric felt that what he did wasn’t much. He had plenty more recipes like that in his head. Perhaps having been at the Hadu tribe for a long ti, Evan also prioritized thinking about the tribe’s benefits.
Eric laughed and replied: "It’s fine, I’m not that stupid. I’m only good to those who are good to . Especially you - I don’t even know how to thank you."
He smiled and looked up, just in ti to et Evan’s deep gaze.
Evan suppressed the hand that wanted to rub Eric’s head again:
"I will co back. Wait for to return to the Elf Forest; I will definitely persuade my royal father regarding the attitude toward beastn. Who knows, we might even be able to trade with the Hadu tribe."
Eric teased:
"Then wouldn’t we be the great contributors to establishing relations between the Elf and Beastman tribes?"
Both knew this was nothing more than a fairy tale, just wanting to comfort the other.
Having said that, Evan took a step back: "Then I’m going. Go back to the tribe; it’s not safe here."
The forest was the safety zone of the Elves. Evan’s figure agilely stepped onto a tree trunk a few tis and vanished.
Eric sighed softly. Since coming to the other world, he had gradually made friends. This was the first ti seeing a friend off on a long journey, not knowing when they would et again.
Feeling downcast, he was about to turn and leave when his vision suddenly went dark, followed by a tight hug.
