South Korea's most elite special forces, the Black Berets, joined up with other units. Upon receiving orders, they swiftly launched an attack on Lee Uijin’s stronghold.
As there were no plans to take hostages or try to save lives, the military arranged themselves in preparation for a frontal assault. Save for the possibility of the original manuscript of the Seven Cryptical Books of Hsan still existing in the area, the army would have bombarded the zone with artillery shells.
The military action and prior mobilization quickly caught the attention of local journalists. Multiple agencies, foreign and local dispatched reporters to follow behind the army. However, upon reaching the outskirts of the region, they were stopped by military blockades.
At the mont, all they could do was stay in their position while bubbling with excitent. None of them dared to breach the barriers lest they got shot or charged with treason.
"This is South Korea Broadcasting System..."
"This is China CV Television..."
"Reuters reporters are reporting live from the front line..."
"At 9:17 PM, South Korean forces suddenly launched an attack on an estate near its borders. This force appears to comprise of Black Berets, South Korea's most elite special forces. Compared to the United States' Delta Force, Russia's Alpha, and other units, the Black Berets may not have a prominent international reputation, but their combat capabilities should not be underestimated..."
"We are ABC Television, the special correspondent for the United States. We have received internal information about the estate. Our reports say that the owner of the land is nad Lee Uijin, the leader of South Korea's Christ New Century Church, and also a mber of the National Assembly. It is unclear why the South Korean governnt is launching such a large-scale operation against this place."
"Based on various events in the past two years, we journalists suspect that there may be a connection to extraordinary powers here. Whether this is true or not, let's wait and see."
"......"
In the face of the imnse pressure from the dia, the South Korean governnt lost control of the ability to manipulate the narrative. For the mont, it directed its efforts towards resolving the situation quickly and settling the incident. Lee Uijin had kidnapped so many people from Seoul that the capital had recently experienced a spike in disappearances. The police had been actively covering up the situation’s severity so far.
But now, once the army killed everyone inside and shifted all the bla to Lee Uijin and the supernatural, the South Korean governnt could wash its hands of the matter.
With this in mind, the President directly issued the attack order.
The on-site commander quickly conveyed the order. Although South Korea's military was under the control of the United States, as a nation's army, especially elite forces, they had the authority to act. The attack began imdiately.
"Boom!"
From the ard helicopter, many special forces descended from the sky along ropes, landing on the top of the slaughterhouse. After placing the bombs, they coordinated with the forces at the main entrance and simultaneously detonated the explosives, creating a loud explosion.
Due to the perfectly set explosives, there was no towering fire, but the sound of the explosives echoed, startling the journalists around the armored vehicles.
"The special forces have launched an attack!"
"The scale is too big for just attacking a slaughterhouse."
"That's why I said there might be supernatural forces inside. Otherwise, the South Korean governnt wouldn't deploy so many elite forces to attack a single structure."
"......"
The onlookers chattered, but the special forces mbers had already invaded the interior of the slaughterhouse.
A ten-person elite team entered from the top of the factory, quickly taking positions. Each one aid their guns in different directions, swiftly removing the ropes from their waists, and letting them be pulled back up by the helicopter.
However, after the helicopter was retracted, it didn't fly away but continued to hover. The machine gunner was prepared to provide support at any ti.
"All clear, no one is here!"
The leader of this small team imdiately spoke up.
At the sa ti, the team turned on the searchlights, illuminating the scene inside the slaughterhouse.
"Gasp..."
The next mont, even those who had undergone extensive training couldn't help but retch.
Inside the slaughterhouse, as its na suggested, was a scene of slaughter. Many pieces of at hung on hooks, and the ground and walls were covered in dried bloodstains. Flies buzzed around, and maggots crawled on the at.
Because the special forces mbers were afraid of poisonous gas, they wore gas masks and didn't imdiately sll the bloody and foul odor.
However, the at hanging here was not from pigs or sheep; it was all human!!
These human beings had twisted expressions, truly like lambs waiting to be slaughtered. None of them had intact flesh, and everyone carried terrified expressions with their organs missing or lying on the ground. It was like a living hell.
Fortunately, these special forces mbers had strong ntal fortitude. They didn't vomit or tremble in fear at the sight.
"Be careful. Sothing's not right here. It's too quiet!"
The team leader's forehead broke out in a cold sweat. At the sa ti, he opened the communication device, directly transmitting the real-ti footage inside to the command vehicle outside.
People in the command vehicle were also startled when they saw this scene. Although they had anticipated it, seeing the remnants of what were once human beings chilled them to their cores.
"Captain, there's movent over there."
Inside the slaughterhouse, a team mber suddenly spoke up. He shone the light on a corner where a humanoid creature was slowly approaching. Under the light, a huge shadow was cast on the blood-red wall, creating a terrifying scene.
"Stay where you are, don't move! Who are you? If you co any closer, I'll shoot!"
The mber shouted loudly.
The team leader's expression turned cold, saying, "Don't waste words, just shoot. Orders are to eliminate all living things here!"
The team mbers suddenly realized, thinking of the orders they received, and imdiately executed a standard three-round burst.
"Dadadada..."
Three bullets accurately hit the humanoid's chest. However, there was no blood splatter, only flying bone fragnts. The humanoid stumbled for a mont, then suddenly changed from swaying to running!
"Damn!! Biohazard!"
"Help, quick!!"
"There are monsters here!"
"..."
Upon witnessing this scene, a raucous arose among the soldiers. Nevertheless, they retained their military discipline. Quickly, several mbers filled in positions, and with precise consecutive shots from the four team mbers, the 'zombie' was directly shot into a sieve, never to rise again.
Due to the distance, they couldn't clearly see the specific appearance of this 'zombie.'
"Fortunately, bullets work against these creatures."
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief. As long as their weapons were effective, they could muster boundless courage. Relying on their long-term training, there was nothing to fear. What they dreaded most was encountering creatures that bullets and cannons couldn't deal with.
Just as the team was letting out a breath of relief, more figures appeared unsteadily around them, instantly surrounding them.
The team leader's face changed, imdiately shouting into the communication device, "Support! We need support, we need heavy firepower support. This is a biohazard scene!"
