12. The War With The Neighbouring Domain [1]

After ending the astral projection, Uriel and the rest of the intel squadron left the neighbouring domain and teleported to the Heavenly Peak imdiately to pass the information to Revet.

They appeared in front of the maze, where they saw a familiar figure.

"You guys are back early," Reima stated sarcastically.

"If you will excuse us, we have important matters to attend to," Hina replied calmly as they walked past her.

They entered the central hall where they t Duran.

"Do you know where Revet-sama is?" Uriel asked.

"I was just about calling a eting," he paused. "He told and Aria that he had sowhere important to go. He also said this: if anything happens, we should handle it ourselves."

"What do you an! The neighbouring domain is preparing to launch a full-scale attack on us in less than a day," Hina exclaid bluntly.

"Hihihihi, and that’s not all. They are carrying out a birth ritual for a Ravter Abomination. They plan to use the war against us to test its strength," Vampika added.

"Not to ntion the fact that they may have so connection with the Nuxeons," Uriel sighed.

"Wait, wait! What!" He took a deep breath.

"Attention all squadrons, this is Duran. Please report to the central hall for an ergency eting," Duran stated loudly, using a flaming microphone to amplify his voice.

"Duran, I just heard the announcent. What the hell is going on?" Aria barged into the central hall.

"Calm down. Let everyone arrive first," he replied with a disturbed tone.

After a few minutes, all the gods and goddesses gathered in the central hall.

"Ahem..." Duran paused.

"I would like to bring to your notice that just a few hours ago, Revet-sama left the dominion hurriedly to an unknown location. Which brings to the topic at hand. The neighbouring domain is preparing to launch an attack against us, and that’s not all. They are also carrying out a birth ritual for a Ravter Abomination. How they gained that forbidden knowledge remains a mystery, though all hands are pointing towards the Nuxeons," he announced.

The room fell silent for a mont.

"What!" Aria’s scream broke the silence.

"Did the intel squadron confirm the class of the Ravter Abomination?" Iris enquired.

"Hihihihi, given the size of the birth mass, it will most likely be between the 2nd or 3rd class," Vampika answered.

"Revet-san left this domain in our hands because he has so level of trust in us. Let’s not let him down. We have to remind him that we aren’t re summons but gods and goddesses," Aria declared boldly.

"Woohoo, that’s what I’m talking about," Taumus exclaid loudly.

Cheers and claps of agreent filled the central hall.

Entria of the strategic planning squadron stepped forward.

"My fellow gods and goddesses. It will be more advantageous for us to act based on our roles assigned to us by Revet instead of doing as we please," she exhaled.

"In that light, the strategic planning squadron will devise an attack and defense strategy, along with the help of the information the intel squadron will render to us."

"The surveillance squadron will continue to monitor any movents from the enemy," Lovian stated boldly.

After the announcent, everyone dispersed to make their preparations.

anwhile, the location of Revet still remained unknown.

Currently in the neighbouring domain, they were preparing for war.

"Mihna, you are here already!" the summoner of the neighbouring domain exclaid with an uneasy tone.

"Keep the pleasantries to yourself, John!" she exclaid rudely.

"Has it hatched yet?" she asked with a dreadful look on her face.

"No, no, not y—"

In the blink of an eye, she closed in on him and placed a crimson dagger on his neck.

"What I ant is that it will hatch very, very soon."

"Better." She removed the dagger.

"Ready your army. We begin now."

"But there’s still 3 hours left," he ntioned.

"Is there a problem?" She stared at him dreadfully.

"No, no, not at all," he exclaid uneasily.

He left her to address his summons.

"Master, why don’t I kill that bitch for you?"

An elf erged from his shadow, her skin as dark as the night sky.

"No! Leonna, we still need her for now," he replied, kissing the elf on her lips.

"Where’s Argus and Lex?" he asked.

"We are right here, my lord," they both answered in unison as they appeared before him.

One was an elven knight clad in silver dazzling armour, and the other a green-haired humanoid figure wearing only shorts with a huge tree tattoo on his back.

"You three are my most powerful summons. I expect you to destroy the enemy forces without rcy."

"As you wish," they answered in unison, bowing at his feet.

After a few minutes, his army was lined up at the entrance of his domain in perfect battle formation.

"You have quite a decent army," Mihna exclaid.

"I told you I have been bolstering my forces," he smirked.

"What about the birth mass?" she asked skeptically.

"I imprinted mine and your blood into it so it will not attack us, and I also imprinted an automatic command for it to destroy everything in the neighbouring domain imdiately it wakes," he paused.

"As for transportation, one of my summons will handle it."

"Fair enough." She handed him a white crystal gem.

"I will not be heading into war with you. This is a cloaking dampener. If you throw it into the mist surrounding that domain, it will dispel the mist and any barrier for about 2 hours."

She took a step back.

"I believe that will be enough ti."

"Of course it will. Who do you think I am?" he flicked his hair.

He thought to himself.

"What a sly bitch... she still doesn’t trust ... well, not like I care."

"May the ’Great One’ refine you, brother," she disappeared into dark smoke.

"May the ’Great One’ refine you, sister," he replied.

"All summons."

He took a deep breath.

"Advance!"

Thud thud thud thud.

They began to advance toward the Heavenly Peak rapidly.

"SS to SPS: the enemy’s army has been dispatched earlier than expected and are approaching rapidly," Shina transmitted from the surveillance tower.

"They have a plan for bypassing the barrier according to what Uriel told earlier," Entria exclaid.

"All squadrons remain on standby and keep to the plan," Fubuki ordered telepathically.

"A male with glasses and red hair, most likely the enemy summoner, is throwing an unknown gem at the barrier," Reima transmitted.

Boom!

A white glow erupted from the gem, creating a hole through the barrier.

"The barrier is down," Shina took a deep breath.

"I repeat, the barrier is down."

"The attack and defense squadrons..." Dina paused.

"Can begin Operation: Eclipse."

"This is going to be fun," Aria exclaid.

"Don’t get carried away, feeble voice," Duran scoffed.

"Sa to you, foul-mouthed fox," she replied sarcastically.

A massive maze spread out vastly before John and his army.

"What is this? A maze," John exclaid.
