"Noelle Sutton, I saw your son at the amusent park with Sophie Hughes this morning. I was kind enough to make a special detour to tell you, and this is the attitude I get?"

Tessa Lawson had a fiery temper. She was Tristan Lawson’s twin, but their personalities were complete opposites.

Noelle Sutton gripped the taxi’s door handle, her hand tightening.

She paused for a mont, then decisively pulled the door open.

Getting into the car, she gave a helpless curl of her lips.

’A family of three at the amusent park? It was all a lie.’

’They were the family of three.’

’Good thing I didn’t go and humiliate myself.’

Tessa Lawson was so angry she looked ready to explode on the spot. Noelle Sutton had actually ignored her!

’Her son was about to be snatched away by soone else, and she was still indifferent.’

’No wonder Joshua only had eyes for Sophie Hughes.’

’It was all because Noelle Sutton herself didn’t have any fight in her!’

’It’s infuriating.’

Tessa Lawson angrily put on her sunglasses and stord off.

Inside the taxi, the driver asked Noelle, "Ma’am, where to?"

Noelle suddenly felt like she didn’t even know where she could go anymore.

No matter where she went, it would be as easy as lifting a finger for Tristan Lawson to find her.

’Oh, I almost forgot. I infuriated him today. He probably won’t waste any more ti or effort looking for .’

So, Noelle took out her phone and typed a line of text, telling the driver to go to the high-speed rail station.

Tristan Lawson’s car had just left the villa district when he suddenly whipped the car around and headed back.

The spot where Noelle Sutton had fallen monts ago was now empty.

Tristan Lawson drove up to the villa.

He got out of the car and hurried inside.

He glanced around, and Mrs. Miller ca up to him.

"Sir, are you looking for sothing?"

Tristan Lawson pressed his lips together. "It’s nothing. Go on with your work."

Mrs. Miller went back to her chores.

’Looks like she didn’t co back.’

Tristan Lawson walked into the study and pulled open a drawer.

Inside the drawer were stacks of divorce agreents.

He pulled out the chair, sat down, and lit a cigarette.

His cold eyes swept over the divorce agreents, one after another.

Irreconcilable differences...

Leaving with nothing...

’The words were jarring to look at.’

Tristan Lawson took a sharp drag from the cigarette, then crushed the butt out in the ashtray.

He picked up the divorce agreents, one by one, and fed them all into the paper shredder.

His phone rang.

It was a call from Joshua Lawson.

Tristan Lawson answered.

"Dad, why aren’t you here yet?"

"On my way."

Tristan Lawson left the house again.

By this ti, Noelle Sutton had already arrived at the high-speed rail station.

As she got out of the taxi, she unexpectedly ran into Director Ford.

Director Ford was coming out of the high-speed rail station.

"Noelle?"

Director Ford was a little surprised. "What are you doing here?"

Noelle composed herself and signed with a smile, "I’m planning to go back to my hotown for a visit."

"Have you bought your ticket yet?"

Noelle shook her head and continued to sign, "I haven’t had the chance yet."

Director Ford then said, "Last ti in Cygnus, your husband was there, so I didn’t get a chance to talk to you alone about a few things. Since you haven’t bought your ticket yet, how about we find a place to chat?"

Noelle felt a flicker of worry, but seeing the look of anticipation in Director Ford’s eyes, she had no choice but to agree.

There was a café nearby, and the two of them—teacher and student—sat down facing each other.

Director Ford ordered two coffees and said to Noelle, beaming, "I was so happy to hear that you married so well and have such an adorable son."

A wave of desolation washed over Noelle’s heart.

In everyone’s eyes, for an ordinary person like her, a mute woman at that, to beco Tristan Lawson’s wife was to have married up.

But only she knew the bitter truth of it.

However, in front of her ntor, she didn’t dare speak the truth and could only offer a faint smile.

Guilt toward her ntor flooded her heart.

By choosing this marriage, she had failed to live up to her ntor’s faith in her and his careful guidance.

Noelle raised her hands. "ntor, I’m sorry."

"It’s nothing, it’s nothing. n and won are ant to marry. There’s nothing wrong with your choice to get married. But what about what we discussed in Cygnus? Have you given it any thought?"

Director Ford had almost given in to Tristan Lawson, as she couldn’t really find anyone more suitable.

Fortunately, there was still Noelle Sutton.

Noelle didn’t know how to refuse.

She thought for a mont, then her hands flew as she signed, "ntor, have you considered Sophie Hughes?"

To Noelle, Sophie Hughes’s existence wasn’t sothing she hated, exactly. She wasn’t soone Noelle cared about, so she didn’t stir up strong emotions in her.

It was just that Sophie Hughes had inserted herself into her family, so it was impossible for Noelle to have a good impression of her.

But she wasn’t the type of person who couldn’t distinguish right from wrong.

She had seen Sophie Hughes’s animation work. Her technique and skill were both top-notch, and her ideas were bold, with a distinct international flair.

Despite her young age, she had won many major awards abroad.

She knew her ntor’s dream. If Sophie Hughes could beco her ntor’s final disciple, she could bring the international style she had learned back to the country.

And... Tristan Lawson would surely be willing to pour all his resources into supporting her.

For her ntor, it was an excellent choice.

If her ntor chose her, they would have to wait for her to practice and recover for a while.

Director Ford took a small sip of coffee and said with a light chuckle, "I have considered her, but I have more faith in you, Noelle. Your husband is successful, and your son is in elentary school now. You can absolutely think about your own career. No matter how well a woman marries, having her own career is what allows her to live a more fulfilling life."

Director Ford’s words were not without reason.

Since marrying Tristan Lawson, she hadn’t worked a single day.

Everything she ate and used was provided by Tristan Lawson.

It had reached the point where Tristan Lawson believed that if she left him, she wouldn’t even have the ability to survive.

Director Ford’s phone suddenly rang. She said to Noelle, "Sorry, I have to take this."

Director Ford answered the phone cheerfully, but after a mont, her smile vanished, and her expression tightened.

"Okay, I understand. I’ll be right back."

Director Ford hung up and told Noelle, "Noelle, sothing urgent has co up, so I have to go. Once you’ve made up your mind, contact right away."

Noelle stood up to see Director Ford off.

Director Ford looked quite anxious, as if sothing major had happened.

Noelle was a little worried, but Director Ford was in a hurry, so she didn’t delay her.

’I’ll ask her about it later.’

Noelle prepared to enter the station to buy a ticket.

’This ti,’ she thought, ’I can probably stay in my hotown for a longer period.’

’Maybe even until I die.’

Suddenly, her phone rang.

It was a call from Joy Rhodes.

It rang for a mont, then the other end hung up automatically.

Then, a ssage popped up on her WeChat.

[Noelle, where are you? I need to find you, it’s urgent.]

Noelle quickly replied.

[Joy, what’s the ergency?]

[Tell your address. I’ll send soone to pick you up. We have to talk about this in person!]

Noelle felt that this must be serious.

So, she sent her location to Joy Rhodes.

While waiting for Joy Rhodes, Noelle suddenly rembered that on the day she returned from Cygnus, Wyatt Yates had called her, but Tristan Lawson had answered.

She hadn’t had a chance to call Wyatt Yates back since then.

Tristan Lawson had been furious that day, accusing Wyatt Yates over the phone of trying to poach right from under his nose.

’It couldn’t be...’

Noelle’s brow furrowed.

Joy Rhodes sent a driver who took Noelle Sutton to a hotel.

Noelle had just stepped inside the room.

Joy Rhodes, looking exhausted, rushed to her side, grasped her hand, and said urgently—
