Chapter 85: The God’s Favored One Arrives, Breaking the Crisis with Ease!

At the city gate of Lemon Port.

Captain Lawson of the guard gripped the hilt of his sword, pacing back and forth beneath the archway.

His face was marked by barely contained anxiety, and from ti to ti, he glanced toward the city center.

That bastard Servan—he actually dared to start an internal revolt!

Though Lady Erica’s castle had a magic shield, who knew how long it could hold?

And when one’s own n started fighting each other, it would only benefit the Undead, wouldn’t it?

Not to ntion, the plague in the city hadn’t yet been resolved.

With all this chaos, they truly faced both internal and external troubles…

Just then—

A streak of golden light appeared on the horizon, drawing near at incredible speed!

“Alert! Sothing’s coming!”

Lawson’s pupils contracted sharply as he barked the order.

The soldiers atop the city wall imdiately pulled their bowstrings taut.

All of them aid at the rapidly approaching light.

However—

That golden light didn’t head straight for the wall.

About a hundred ters before reaching the gate, it suddenly slowed down in midair.

Then it drifted lightly to the ground.

When the radiance faded—

A young man in a simple travel robe stood there.

He looked to be only in his early twenties.

His features were handso, his hair and eyes black, his deanor calm, and not a speck of dust clung to his robes.

It was as if the one who had just soared through the sky had not been him at all.

Lawson and the surrounding guards were stunned.

Flight through the air?!

That was the hallmark of a Fourth-tier Sky Knight!

Yet even for a Fourth-tier expert, flying consud an enormous amount of battle energy.

It was typically only used in short bursts during combat—who would ever travel long distances in such a relaxed manner?

Unless… he was a legendary Fifth-tier powerhouse?

That thought exploded in Lawson’s mind like thunder.

Fifth-tier!

Such a person could oversee an entire region, holding a status comparable to an imperial viscount!

Why would soone of that level suddenly appear in troubled Lemon Port?

Moreover, ever since the invasion of the Undead Scourge—

All Fifth-tier and above experts had been concentrated in the defense of the imperial holy city, Saint Anna. Hardly any had left since.

Over the years, they had almost beco legends.

At that realization—

Lawson’s knees nearly buckled, and he almost fell to the ground.

The young guards behind him turned deathly pale, their spears trembling with a clattering sound.

Even the noble Lady Erica herself would have to bow before soone like this!

“M-My Lord!”

With a thud, Lawson dropped to one knee, sweat beading on his forehead.

“I did not know of your arrival and failed to welco you from afar! Please forgive my offense!”

As he took the lead—

A wave of motion followed.

Every guard within and outside the gate knelt in unison.

Heads bowed low, not daring to even breathe too loudly.

The nearby civilians and rchants, seeing this, hurriedly followed suit, afraid to offend the mysterious figure.

Lynn was slightly taken aback.

He was long accustod to the kneeling of his believers—

But having a group of unfamiliar guards bow to him in such reverence was a first.

After a brief mont of thought, he understood.

Though his incarnation had suppressed its aura, arriving through flight alone—

In the eyes of ordinary people, that was already an earth-shattering miracle.

Lynn lifted his hand slightly in a gesture of support. “Rise. I’m rely passing through. I ca to find soone.”

Only then did Lawson dare to look up, his tone even more respectful. “Please command , my Lord! Whom are you seeking?”

“His na is Colin, a priest,” Lynn replied calmly.

In truth—

Through his Divine Sense, he had already communicated with Colin in the guise of the Angel.

This incarnation only needed to appear publicly and confirm the identity of a “God’s Favored One.”

Yes—Lynn did not intend to resolve this matter as the Angel this ti.

First, the situation here was different from Oak Town.

Second, the believers in Oak Town still hadn’t fully adjusted.

If Lemon Port suddenly produced another wave of zealous followers all shouting to head for the Sanctuary—

Holy Light Town would be overwheld!

So there was no need to summon an angelic projection again—that nearly “cheating” thod of drawing in believers.

This ti, a simpler approach would do—resolve the crisis and save the people.

“Priest Colin?” Lawson was montarily stunned.

Then he rembered the young priest who had entered the city under Old Dan’s protection, claiming to cure the plague, and he quickly nodded.

“Y-Yes! I’ve heard so news. Lady Erica has received several guests in her castle, and one of them should be the priest you’re seeking, my Lord.”

“However…”

He looked troubled and lowered his voice.

“The city isn’t peaceful right now. Baron Servan’s n have surrounded the castle, and even the defensive magic formation has been activated!”

“I fear… it won’t be easy to enter.”

Lynn’s lips curved slightly in an almost-smile. “No matter. Just point in the right direction.”

Lawson didn’t dare to ask further.

He imdiately pointed toward the towering stone fortress at the city’s center.

“Over there! The tallest spire—that’s the place!”

Before his words had even finished—

Lynn’s figure blurred into a faint golden afterimage and vanished into the sky.

So fast it felt as though his earlier landing had been nothing but an illusion.

Lawson and the others stood frozen.

They stared at the fading golden light in the heavens, wiping cold sweat only after a long while.

……

Inside the castle’s study.

The shouting of Servan’s n could be faintly heard.

Mixed with the muffled sound of weapons striking against the shield barrier.

Thus, Erica’s expression was far from pleasant.

Although the castle was solid as iron, being surrounded like this—unable to strike back decisively—was quite suffocating.

I thought that priest might give a breakthrough, but it seems he’s nothing special after all.

Erica looked at the motionless Colin.

She silently shook her head.

But then—suddenly!

The other person’s body trembled violently, and the despair in his eyes was swept away—

Replaced by a radiance that was almost burning!

Erica, who had been observing from the shadows, exclaid in surprise, “Priest Colin?”

“Lady Erica…”

Colin’s lips curved into a relieved smile. “I just received the Divine Oracle from the Angel!”

“He has sent a God’s Favored One to aid us and resolve Lemon Port’s crisis!”

The study instantly fell silent.

Daniels and Rathead widened their eyes in astonishnt.

Erica narrowed her own, her fingers pausing on the desk. “A God’s Favored One, and only one person?”

Her tone carried undisguised skepticism.

“Priest Colin, I know your faith is devout, but given the current situation… what can one person possibly do?”

“Does your Angel think sending a re envoy for show will make the enemy retreat?”

Her words were sharp—

Even Daniels frowned at that.

Yet Colin did not get angry. Instead, he straightened his back and spoke firmly.

“The Angel’s will is not sothing we mortals can presu to fathom.”

“Since the God’s Favored One has arrived, he must possess ans like thunder!”

Erica wanted to retort—

But from the shadows of the study, a black figure silently erged.

It was her personal bodyguard, the one she trusted most—the man in black!

At this mont, however—

This usually calm man’s voice carried an uncharacteristic tremor. “Lady Erica! A powerful presence is approaching! Extrely strong!”

Erica’s heart clenched instantly.

For soone to be called “powerful” by her peak Fourth-tier bodyguard—

Could it be…

Impossible!

How could that person dare to appear?

Were they not afraid of breaking the pact?!!

Almost at the sa ti—

A commotion rose outside the window.

Erica and the others stepped closer and looked out.

They saw a streak of golden light pierce through the air like an arrow.

In the blink of an eye, it hovered outside the castle’s magic shield!

The radiance faded—

Revealing the silhouette of a young man.

His robe sleeves fluttered in the wind, his expression indifferent.

Below, Servan’s soldiers froze as though facing a great enemy—their curses abruptly cut off.

As for Servan himself—

He sat within a luxurious carriage, waving a gem-encrusted scepter as he shouted furiously,

“Erica!”

“Hand over that priest if you know what’s good for you!”

“Otherwise, I’ll blast through your shell and hang you at the city gate for all to see!”

Three armored knights stood proudly beside him, each radiating the aura of the Fourth-tier—

They were the elite fighters he had bought with great sums of gold!

But suddenly, the light above Servan dimd.

He instinctively looked up—only to see a young man floating high in the sky, golden radiance swirling around him.

The youth looked down with calm, divine eyes—like a god judging insects.

“Who are you?!”

Servan’s heart lurched, though he forced himself to roar, “Such audacity! Daring to fly above ? Capture him!”

The three Fourth-tier knights exchanged glances—

They thought Lynn was rely another Fourth-tier powerhouse, Erica’s reinforcent.

With battle energy flaring, they soared skyward together, sword auras blazing toward Lynn!

Below, the soldiers raised their crossbows, the sound of strings tightening shrill in the air.

Yet Lynn didn’t even lift an eyelid.

He rely exhaled two cold words: “Noisy.”

He waved his hand casually.

In an instant, the three knights in midair were struck down before they could even scream—

Falling like kites with their strings cut!

The thousands of soldiers below were swept away by a violent gust, tumbling like leaves in a storm—shields and swords clattering wildly.

In monts, the ground was littered with groaning bodies.

Even Servan was thrown from his carriage by the shockwave—

His plump body crashed into the dirt, mouth full of dust.
