I had thought power would make invincible, that it would shield from loss.

But here I am, standing on the edge of annihilation, and all I can think about is how much I still have to lose.

My family, my friends... .

If I fail, I won’t just be forgotten—I’ll leave them behind in a world worse than it already is

Now one would ask how I was going to do this. I an, it was practically impossible. Very much so. But I had a plan.

Ever watched the Suicide Squad movie? Well, I’m about to go on a suicide mission. More like Tom Cruise on a mission impossible.

I knew for a fact that I could never win over people who had evolved more than twice.

Even the captain guards on the four main cities were level 3 existences. These were powerful enough to destroy the entire planet with just a flick of their hand, and they were just guards. What about the real Paragons?

Even the weakest Paragon was level 7. This was a kind of power one couldn’t even fathom. If a re level 3 could destroy the world effortlessly, what could a level 7 do?

Our cultivation system worked like this: you evolve until you beco a real god at level 10. Luckily for , no Paragon had reached level 10.

As you evolve, you gain one or two aspects that a god should have. These grow stronger as you ascend.

A level 10 existence is a true divine god—you can do absolutely anything. Anything at all. This ant that the closer you get to level 10, the closer you are to becoming a god.

So even the weakest Paragon, a level 7, could shatter galaxies with a thought, create life, take life, and do so much more.

So basically, I was screwed.

But I had sothing that could help . In fact, I hadn’t even used a fraction of my potential.

Maybe because I hadn’t faced a real opponent yet, I hadn’t felt the need to develop my skills. Now was the ti to get serious.

"Before I go, can you tell more about evolution levels?" I asked, looking at Gwen.

"That wasn’t in the information you asked for," she replied with folded arms, leaning back in her chair.

"Count it as a favor," I said simply.

I knew she would tell anyway, so I might as well stop whining about it.

"It’s simple, really," she began. "You already have the basics down, so all you need to know is that your elent is crucial for evolving to higher levels."

"So you better start developing it as soon as possible," she continued. "Also, those who evolve the soul have different ways of cultivating than those who focus on the mind and body. Every aspect develops differently and gives different benefits."

"But you don’t have to worry about that for now. You’re still way too far from evolving again. Focus on your current problem first," she finished.

She was right. I had just evolved to level 1. Normally, even geniuses would take at least a decade to evolve to level 2, while average people might take hundreds of years.

But what no one knew was that I didn’t cultivate the normal way. In fact, I didn’t even know how they did it. All I knew was that I created sothing that boosted my stats until I hit a bottleneck.

If I wanted, I could do just that right now to reach the peak of level 2. The only issue was that I needed the right requirents for evolution.

In our world, those who reach level 3 beco Guardians, their lives pledged to the Paragons who rule the cities.

No one defies the system because evolution isn’t just survival—it’s status, wealth, and freedom. And I’m about to spit in its face

"Do you guys have a place I could hide for a few minutes?" I asked.

This ti, it was Evelyn who replied. "Of course we do," she smiled as she stood up.

But then she paused and glanced worriedly at Gwen, who simply shrugged. Evelyn let out a sigh of relief.

She led to the basent. As we were walking, I wondered where the hideout was.

Evelyn made a few gestures in the air, and then the illusion around us broke, revealing a tallic door in what had previously been a solid wall.

I really should use the Eyes of the Universe more often, because if they were activated, they would have seen this the whole ti.

Evelyn keyed in a code, and the tallic door slid open with a soft hiss, revealing a hidden chamber.

Inside, the room was stark, with smooth tallic walls that glead under faint, sterile lighting. A subtle hum of energy vibrated through the air, reinforcing the high-tech aura of the space.

It was clearly a safe room—fortified and secure, the kind of place designed to withstand the wrath of even a level 3 existence. Or so I hoped.

"This should work, right?" Evelyn asked, gesturing for to enter.

Her hand lingered on the doorfra as she hesitated, a rare flicker of uncertainty crossing her face. "Just don’t blow anything up, okay? This one’s my favorite."

I smirked. "No promises."

Evelyn smiled, but it didn’t reach her eyes. There was always sothing fragile about her, like a porcelain doll trying not to crack.

"This chamber? It’s the last thing my father built before... well, before he was gone. So yeah, it’s special." she said as she left.

Seems, it really is a sensitive topic for her, is that she is very fragile? I s this why she... doesn’t matter now.

The door sealed shut behind with a low, chanical thud, and I exhaled a breath I hadn’t realized I was holding.

Alone now, I let the weight of the mont settle over . It was ti to get serious.

Gwen’s words echoed in my mind: Your elent is key to evolving to higher levels.

I still didn’t fully understand my elent, but I had an inkling it was my way out of the chaos I was drowning in.

Then there were the Eyes of the Universe—a gift from existence itself, one I’d barely begun to comprehend.

If the Universe handed you a gift, surely it was ant to be monuntal. Yet here I was, fumbling with it like a rookie. The universe must really be disappointed in now.

It was ti to take stock.

As I went over my abilities, the list was... overwhelming. Not because of what I lacked, but because of just how much I already had. And the terrifying part? Each one of them was overpowered.

How the hell am I still this weak? I thought, incredulous.

Seriously, anyone with this arsenal would be untouchable by now. But here I was, whining about my inadequacies.

1. Creator’s ability that allows to create anything I can think of so long as I had the energy for it.

2. Supre Human, this race’s abilities would help beco powerful only by trading blows.

3. Immortality that I got from the Universe blessings, now that I think about it, I shouldn’t be able to die, right? And immortality, their are a thousand ways to use the life force to get stronger quickly.

And here I was crying of being weak, fuck, I cant believe myself.

4. Immune to Divination related abilities, this on its own was aweso, only that I had doubts since soone was able to tell my movents previously.

5. Extre Luck, now this is a surprise, I had even forgotten about this since everything they happened recently pointed to bad luck.

Can I use this the way Domino in Marvels uses her luck to manipulate probability, if I can, then..... I don’t even know.

6. Eyes of the Universe, sothing I hadn’t used even 5 tis since I got it, the universe must be disappointed in .

7. Then there was the rune of Alcavith, sothing that allowed to use runes the way I did. Soone of my level shouldn’t be able to even activate the simplest of runes.

Yet here I was activating even the complex ones without exploding to smithereens, I had to make more research.

8. Aeonborn elent was also sothing I didn’t know much about, but hoped it was overpowered seeing as it is the sa with my bloodline.

If my bloodline is already overpowered, then the elent itself should be incredible, right?

I ran a hand through my hair, both amazed and frustrated. How do I have all this and still feel weak?

Seven hours. Not much ti, but more than enough to rewrite my story.

I glanced at the faint glow of the hidden chamber’s walls, the hum of power a steady rhythm in the background. This room wasn’t just a sanctuary—it was a crucible.

When I walked out of here, I wouldn’t just be stronger. I wouldn’t just be prepared.

I would be unstoppable.

For my family. For myself. For the universe that dared to underestimate .

Now, ti to get to work.
