Chapter 87: Chapter 86 [Butcher’s Work Rules] [2/3 seeking monthly votes!]

Mu Rufeng walked alone into the slaughterhouse.

The room was sealed off, its door made of heavy iron. Clearly, it must be incredibly sturdy.

On one of the walls, there was a large glass window through which one could see outside.

Aside from the glass, whether it be the door, the walls, or even the floor, all were marked with deep scratches or bite marks.

It was evident that this glass was either frequently replaced or extrely tough.

What caught Mu Rufeng’s attention was the unusual cleanliness of the slaughterhouse. There wasn’t even a hint of a strange odor.

...

Mu Rufeng didn’t bother to ponder it, as there were only three minutes left before work began.

He started to wander around the slaughterhouse.

The layout of the slaughterhouse was quite intriguing.

With his back to the main entrance, Mu Rufeng looked to his right, about seven or eight ters away, there was a one-ter-wide colossal hole.

Within the hole was a conveyor belt, obscured by a black curtain.

This must be the transportation portal ntioned in the rules; after Mu Rufeng slaughtered the pigs, he was to send them through this to the washing and processing area.

Directly across from the transport hole, on the opposite wall, there was another hole.

But this hole had no conveyor belt and was covered by a movable circular iron plate. This must be the waste chute.

In front of the wall opposite the entrance stood a five-ter-tall iron cage.

And right at the center of the slaughterhouse was an old tal platform covered in scars.

On the tal platform were several fixed shackles, clearly for the convenience of slaughtering and sectioning.

After a quick tour, Mu Rufeng made his way to a corner.

There was a chair and a desk, which were presumably for the butcher to rest.

Likewise, Mu Rufeng discovered the employee work regulations for the slaughterhouse inside the desk drawer.

[Butcher Work Regulations]

1. Please strictly adhere to the work schedule.

2. No leaving during work hours.

3. Keep close watch over your Pig Slaughter Blade, it is the best tool for the job.

4. Try to keep the number of pigs in the cage from reaching two and never let it reach three.

5. When slaughtering a pig, try to bleed it first, then finish it off with one cut. Note, other than with a blade, it’s impossible to kill the pigs.

6. After slaughtering, cut the pig in half and put it through the transfer hole.

7. If the pig starts talking during slaughter, ignore it, kill it swiftly, and toss its body into the waste chute.

8. If any employee cos through the transport hole, imdiately hide in the waste chute.

9. You must slaughter at least five pigs a day and send them through the portal.

10. Don’t worry about the cleanliness of the slaughterhouse; the priority is slaughtering pigs.

Mu Rufeng took note of the regulations.

It was at this mont that a bell rang throughout the slaughterhouse.

“Ding ding ding!”

Work ti had arrived!

Boom boom boom!

A thunderous roar ca from outside the massive iron cage.

The next second, the wall inside the cage slowly opened.

Imdiately after, a gigantic pig was thrown out from the darkness, crashing to the floor with a dull thud.

Then the wall closed slowly again, returning to its original state.

“Aow~ Aow!”

The pig scrambled to its feet, issuing a loud and intense cry.

Mu Rufeng paused as he looked at the pig inside the cage.

This pig was enormous, standing two ters at the shoulder—truly a behemoth in Mu Rufeng’s eyes.

Typical grown pigs only reach about 0.9 ters tall at the shoulder and 1.7 ters long.

The pig in front of him was at least twice that size.

“Holy mother, how could anyone kill sothing so big?” Mu Rufeng was thoroughly shaken by the size of the pig.

Soon, Mu Rufeng ca to his senses—he was no ordinary person; he could certainly do the job.

But suddenly, Mu Rufeng beca perplexed.

“Where’s my slaughter knife?”

Indeed, slaughtering required a pig slaughter blade, but he hadn’t seen one anywhere in the slaughterhouse upon searching.

“How am I supposed to kill a pig without a knife?” Mu Rufeng grew frustrated.

He stood up and continued his search throughout the slaughterhouse.

Yet, he still did not find the slaughter knife.

“Has my slaughter knife been stolen, or am I supposed to ask the manager for one?”

Mu Rufeng contemplated seeking out that eerie short figure, but the slaughterhouse was completely sealed off, leaving no way to go outside.

Just then,

A loud “Bang!” reverberated.

The huge pig violently ramd into the iron cage. The cage didn’t budge, causing the pig to cry out in pain.

Despite the pain, the pig continued to ram against the cage.

Its pair of blood-red eyes fixed intently on Mu Rufeng, as if it wanted to devour him.

“It seems my kitchen knife will have to transform into a pig slaughter blade,” Mu Rufeng sighed and pulled a knife out from his bandage.

He might not have the slaughter knife, but a kitchen knife was in his possession.

The rules stated that pigs could only be killed with a blade; thus, a kitchen knife should suffice—it was, after all, a kind of blade.

“Ah, I almost forgot.”

Mu Rufeng was about to open the iron cage when he suddenly rembered that he hadn’t used his Rule Skill yet.

Imdiately, Mu Rufeng cast “You Die, I Live” on the full-grown pig before him.

“You Die, I Live, Skill Activated Successfully, The enemy has died, All Attributes doubled for one hour.”

“This pig is indeed a creature from the Mysterious World, already dead,” Mu Rufeng murmured, stroking his chin.

Then, Mu Rufeng opened his attribute panel.

His original attributes had already tripled.

Earlier, when he encountered the tall strangeness at the pig farm and the short strangeness at the slaughterhouse, Mu Rufeng had secretly activated the “You Die, I Live” skill.

After all, it’s better to be safe than sorry.

It was just a pity that it didn’t increase tenfold.

Mu Rufeng arrived at the iron cage, pulled the lock, and then opened it.

Seeing this, the full-grown pig rushed towards the exit at full speed.

But Mu Rufeng quickly extended his hand, and the bandages wrapped around him shot out several strands in a blink of an eye, forming an enclosure outside the exit.

The pig, apparently lacking in spiritual wisdom, charged headfirst into the circle ford by the bandages.

The bandages, under Mu Rufeng’s control, instantly tightened, enveloping the pig.

However, the pig had enormous strength, and due to the inertia of its previous running, managed to roll forward, dragging the bandages with it.

Mu Rufeng grabbed one of the bandages and yanked hard, trying to stop the pig.

However, Mu Rufeng seed to have forgotten about the nature of the bandages.

The bandages were pulled taut but continued to elongate.

Their elasticity was indeed impressive.

Mu Rufeng thought for a mont, then let go of the bandage, allowing it to stretch freely.

As a result, the pig rolled several tis in succession and slamd directly into a tal platform ten ters away, emitting a dull thud.

The pig cried out again and began to struggle wildly.

However, even if the pig’s strength were doubled, it would be to no avail; the bandage was truly a powerful item for control.

Mu Rufeng walked closer and kicked the pig’s head.

The latter snorted and let out a fierce howl.

“It’s quite strong; it’s almost on par with ,” Mu Rufeng mused to himself, feeling the force of the pig’s struggles.

He now had eight tis the strength of an average adult male.

Indeed, as a creature from the Mysterious World, the pig was far more powerful.

Probably even a tiger wouldn’t be a match for this pig.

Mu Rufeng then bent down, grabbed the pig, and slamd it heavily onto the tal platform.

The pig cried out once more.

Imdiately after, Mu Rufeng controlled the bandages to expose the pig’s forelimbs.

He then grabbed the forelimbs and placed them onto a semi-circular shackle before securing it with the other half, successfully locking them in place.

Next, Mu Rufeng went on to lock each of the pig’s limbs with shackles, and only then did he retract the bandages, wrapping them back around himself.

The pig struggled furiously but was utterly incapable of breaking free from the shackles.

Mu Rufeng approached the pig’s head, swung his fist, and slamd it into the pig’s forehead.

“Ow~~!” The pig howled miserably and struggled even more crazily.

“Hm?” Mu Rufeng, seeing that the pig seed unfazed, was a bit stunned and imdiately swung his fist down again onto the pig’s forehead.

“Thump! Thump, thump, thump!”

A series of muffled sounds echoed.

Mu Rufeng had struck eight tis in total. Even a tiger would have had its head pulverized by him, yet the pig was still vigorously struggling.

“A Rule power? Immune to damage?” Mu Rufeng pondered to himself.

The fifth rule of the butcher’s work guidelines.

[5. When slaughtering a full-grown pig, please try to bleed it first before delivering the killing blow. Note that only a blade can kill the pig, and no other thod will work.]

“That’s interesting,” Mu Rufeng said with a smile, pulling out his kitchen knife from the bandages.

Although he didn’t have a Pig Slaughter Blade, a kitchen knife should be similar.

Mu Rufeng had never slaughtered a pig before, but he had witnessed his grandfather slaughtering pigs at ho during festivals.

He still rembered his grandfather telling him when he was a child, “When slaughtering pigs, you have to bleed them first; otherwise, the at won’t taste good.”

Then, his grandfather plunged the knife into the throat of a white pig.

He was scared and cried at that ti, but his grandfather just laughed heartily.

Now it was his turn to slaughter, Mu Rufeng was sowhat uncertain about how to proceed.

, With that, a taste of rust spread in his mouth.
