Garp did not panic over the first bad jar.
He just snorted, then turned his gaze to the remaining nine jars.
This ti, he decided to open all nine in one go.
"I refuse to believe my luck is that bad!"
After taking a deep breath, he clenched his fists, stepped forward, and slamd out a punch.
With a dull crack, all nine jars on the front row shattered at the sa ti, while the other jars on the shelf did not even tremble.
Everyone's eyes lit up at that display.
You could see Garp's control over Armant Haki had already reached an incredibly refined level.
The Marines who had co with him straightened unconsciously, full of respect.
In this world, people always revered the strong.
"Hahaha, I have not moved my body properly for too long. I am getting rusty."
Seeing everyone's reaction, Garp just laughed.
Then he turned his head.
"Amon, help see what ca out."
"Alright."
Amon nodded and crouched down to examine the scattered loot.
Under the system's inspection, all the items' attributes quickly surfaced in his mind.
Nine jars. Twenty-seven items.
Fourteen of them were pure trash, not worth ntioning. Useless trinkets, odd junk, tasteless knickknacks.
But among the remaining thirteen items, there were nine Devil Fruits, two recovery potions – one called Dragon's Breath and one called Paradise Elixir – and two special treasures.
One was a martial arts manual titled Aikido Fist, a perfect match for soone like Garp who fought with his fists.
The other was a pill that increased lifespan by ten years, the Soul Nurturing Pill.
That pill was, without question, the finest thing Garp had drawn from all ten jars.
A dicine that directly extended one's life was not sothing you could just find on the roadside.
"Amon, how is it?"
Once Amon finished scanning everything, Garp asked with obvious anticipation.
"Not bad at all. Absolutely worth the money."
Seeing that look on Garp's face, Amon decided not to drag it out.
"Out of the twenty-seven items, fourteen are useless curios. The remaining thirteen, though, include nine Devil Fruits.
"With those alone, I would say you have already earned your money back, Mr. Garp."
He had checked the fruits carefully. They were all solid abilities, none of them trash-tier.
If sold, their combined value would definitely surpass One Billion Berries.
"The other four items are all extrely rare and precious."
He lifted a small cyan vial.
"Let us start with this greenish potion. It is called Dragon's Breath.
"It is said to be brewed from the blood of legendary dragons. When taken, it can rapidly heal wounds and restore stamina. An excellent healing potion."
Amon placed Dragon's Breath into Garp's hand.
"A potion that can rapidly heal injuries..."
That kind of thing was truly uncommon.
Garp did not get too excited, but he definitely did not dismiss it.
Even though he was almost about to retire, and even though very few people could actually injure him, no one knew what the future would bring.
Even if he did not use it himself, it would be an incredible lifesaver for soone else.
There were never too many items that could save a life at a critical mont.
"The second potion is also a recovery item. This one is called the Paradise Elixir.
"As the na implies, it is an extrely powerful healing potion. It can bring soone back from the brink of death.
"As long as the head is not severed and the heart is not destroyed, drinking this will have them up and jumping around again in monts."
Amon handed Garp a bottle of vivid red liquid.
"To fully restore a gravely injured person just like that?"
If he had managed to stay calm with Dragon's Breath, even Garp could not keep a straight face now.
This Paradise Elixir was practically a second life in a bottle.
It was not as broken as Luffy's Resurrection Coin, but the gap in effect was not that large.
The Marines standing nearby had not expected such ridiculous treasures to co out of jars that looked so shabby.
Their eyes practically burned with envy.
But faced with Garp's presence, and knowing that each jar cost a hundred million Berries, they could do nothing but swallow their desire and watch in silence.
Once Garp had both potions in hand, Amon picked up the martial arts manual.
Seeing yet another book, Garp's eyelid twitched.
The last one, Postpartum Care for Sows, was still fresh in his mory.
He really did not want to get burned like that again.
"Hehe, do not worry. This one is not useless."
Amon chuckled, clearly guessing what Garp was thinking.
"This is a martial arts manual titled Aikido Fist. It is a very powerful fist technique."
He passed the book to Garp.
"A fist technique manual? Amon, do you think I still need sothing like that?"
Garp had been ready for so legendary treasure after Amon's build up.
When he heard it was "just" a fist manual, his interest sank.
At his level, ordinary manuals were not worth a second look.
He had absolute confidence in his own fists.
Still, out of a scavenger's instinct, he flipped it open casually.
"Hm?"
At first he only ant to skim a page or two before putting it away.
But after just one glance at the contents, his expression shifted.
The more he read, the more his face changed.
From faint disdain to growing surprise, then genuine delight.
In that mont, Garp felt as if he had opened the door to a brand new world.
So fists could be used like this.
Yielding to force, redirecting force, turning the enemy's power back on them.
In the world of pirates, battles were usually decided by brute strength and Haki.
Delicate, systematic techniques like this were almost unheard of.
After reading only a few lines, Garp already felt he had benefited trendously.
The more he read, the more he realized just how precious this manual really was.
