"Director Osborne, and this is?" Ethan Grant asked, his gaze lingering for a mont on the injuries on Grace Winslow, who was standing beside Oscar Osborne.

Oscar Osborne stepped forward with a broad smile. "Chief Grant, this is Grace Winslow from our factory. She’s the one who ca up with the idea to make and sell clothes from the defective fabric."

"She also provided the designs for the clothes."

"This ti, we’ve brought new designs for the foreign investor to look over. Once they’ve selected the styles, we can begin production."

Ethan Grant raised an eyebrow. "Your textile factory is really full of hidden talent. A designer like her would be a hot commodity anywhere else."

"You’re a lucky man, Director Osborne."

"Yes, yes, I certainly am," Oscar Osborne chuckled in agreent.

This ti, Grace Winslow hadn’t just solved a problem for the factory.

He had thought he’d reached the peak of his career in his current position, with no further chances for promotion.

But because of Grace Winslow, he’d actually been given an opportunity to move up again.

"Please, have a seat." Ethan Grant gestured to the chairs nearby, inviting the two to sit.

As soon as she entered, Grace Winslow had been discreetly sizing up the two n in the room.

Ethan Grant appeared to be in his early thirties. He wore a pair of gold-rimd glasses and had a scholarly air about him, but his eyes betrayed a sharp shrewdness.

’Anyone who reached such a position at his age was clearly no simple character.’

The other man in the office looked to be about the sa age as Ethan Grant. He wore a bespoke, handmade suit, and his features were sharp and imperious. He exuded an air of nobility from head to toe—clearly, this was the "foreign investor" they were here to et.

Grace Winslow had expected the investor to be blond and blue-eyed. ’I didn’t expect him to be Chinese,’ she thought.

She said nothing and quietly took a seat.

’I’m here with Director Osborne. I can’t just speak out of turn and embarrass him.’

Director Osborne and Ethan Grant conversed cheerfully.

anwhile, the man who had yet to speak had been discreetly studying her ever since she walked in.

His gaze was clean and pure, without a hint of impropriety. Although Grace Winslow noticed, she didn’t think much of it.

"Miss Winslow." The man finally spoke in a low voice once Director Osborne and Ethan Grant’s conversation wound down.

’His Mandarin isn’t quite standard,’ Grace noted. ’He’s probably from the Oakhaven area.’

Grace Winslow offered a polite smile. "Hello."

Ethan Grant glanced at the man before smiling and making the introduction. "This is Boss Lockwood, Dylan Lockwood. He’s from Portara. He’s the one who bought the first two batches of clothing. This ti, he’s looking to increase his order and wants to see what other styles we have to offer."

"Boss Lockwood," Grace Winslow greeted him politely. Her attitude was composed and respectful, devoid of any attempt to fawn or flatter.

Dylan Lockwood was used to won swarming him like flies the mont they heard his na. Seeing Grace Winslow’s poised and self-possessed deanor, he found himself sowhat intrigued.

"I’m surprised to find such a talented clothing designer on the mainland. I wonder, has Miss Winslow ever considered seeking a better opportunity elsewhere?" Dylan Lockwood asked, taking a sip of his tea.

Director Osborne’s expression faltered.

’Is he trying to poach her right in front of ?’

He shot a look at Ethan Grant.

But Ethan Grant rely smiled, saying nothing.

Grace Winslow replied, her tone polite but firm. "I’m sorry, Boss Lockwood, but I’m not considering a new job. I don’t plan on leaving Prospera Town. My family and friends are all here."

"You could bring them all with you. Portara is a wonderful city," Dylan Lockwood said with a smile, clearly not ready to let the matter drop.

’With a promising talent like her at my company,’ he thought, ’dominating Portara’s fashion market would be well within my grasp.’
