Chapter 623: Chapter 619 Specin

After dealing with the top-level master, Fang Xiaocao stuffed all the remaining intact docunts into a nearby bag.

She could take these docunts back and read them slowly, though she doubted she would understand them anyway.

Might as well leave them to Tom and Thousand Faces for investigation.

There might even be information about bionic robots hidden inside.

If there was, it could lead to unexpected discoveries.

Fang Xiaocao packed up all the docunts and didn’t linger on the second floor, continuing her way up to the third.

Most of the doors on the second floor were open, and the rooms were in utter disarray.

It was clear that the occupants had left in a hurry.

There was no need to inspect them further.

She took the staircase to the third floor.

The third floor was empty, without the ambush Fang Xiaocao had anticipated.

No one erged to stop her either.

“Could Qi Yu not be on the third floor?”

“Or perhaps he’s already fled?”

Fang Xiaocao muttered under her breath and headed toward the largest bedroom.

It was the only master bedroom in the entire villa.

A massive sunroom.

About seventy square ters in area.

She walked to the bedroom door and placed her ear against it, listening carefully.

The bedroom behind the door was silent, devoid of any sound.

Fang Xiaocao gripped the doorknob and attempted to twist it.

Click—

With a faint sound, the bedroom door swung open.

Fang Xiaocao blinked and heightened her vigilance internally.

She braced herself for the possibility of an ambush inside the bedroom.

Taking a deep breath, she gently pushed the door open.

But she didn’t enter imdiately.

Instead, she leaned against the wall next to the doorway, waiting quietly.

She perked up her ears, straining to catch any movent within the room.

If soone were inside, there would at least be the sound of breathing.

Fang Xiaocao listened for five minutes, but heard nothing.

Not even the imagined sound of breathing.

“Could there really be no one?”

Fang Xiaocao muttered to herself before peeking inside the bedroom.

The lights were off, and blackout curtains covered the windows, plunging the room into darkness.

Fang Xiaocao frowned slightly, cursing Qi Yu under her breath for acting so disturbed,

Turning a perfectly fine sunroom into a grotesque, Hell-thed haunted house.

It was nothing short of mutilating sothing beautiful.

Fang Xiaocao took out her phone and activated the flashlight.

Using the faint beam of light from the phone, she illuminated the room.

In the dim glow, Fang Xiaocao barely discerned the bedroom’s decor.

The room was spacious enough to rival so compact apartnts, but Qi Yu had transford it into a hellish spectacle.

Grueso, violent paintings and photos were plastered everywhere.

Human-like sculptures stood around, posed in eerie, grotesque, or downright terrifying stances.

Even soone as worldly as Fang Xiaocao felt her scalp crawl in this dimly lit room.

“Freak.”

Fang Xiaocao spat the word under her breath.

She tiptoed cautiously into the room, as though afraid her movents might stir the statues awake.

Given that the villa’s layout was nearly identical to that of Villa No. 5,

She used her mory of the switch location in the master bedroom of Villa No. 5 to find the light switch here.

Suddenly—

Fang Xiaocao froze, jerking her hand back as if shocked.

She aid her phone’s flashlight at the spot where her hand had just touched.

She had reached for the light switch, but instead, her fingers had brushed against sothing cold, stiff, yet faintly pliable.

The texture was alarmingly similar to human skin.

More specifically, the skin of a corpse.

Following the dim phone light, Fang Xiaocao looked closely.

A pallid, blotched face with corpse spots ca into view.

Its lifeless, wide-open eyes were veiled in a deathly gray, staring straight at her.

Fang Xiaocao flinched, nearly screaming aloud.

“Damn it, scared to death.”

“Qi Yu really is an absolute freak.”

Fang Xiaocao internally “praised” Qi Yu once more.

She reached her hand between the corpse and the wall gap.

Click—

The bedroom lights flicked on.

As blood-red light filled the room, Fang Xiaocao almost dropped her phone.

“Utter psychopath!”

“Who in their right mind would set their bedroom lights to glow like a red rave?”

“Especially in a Hell-thed room—the vibrant red light doesn’t look romantic or cheerful at all.”

“It only adds an extra layer of horror and eeriness.”

Fang Xiaocao cursed Qi Yu’s twisted tastes in her head as she inspected the corpse before her.

Though the corpse’s expression was grotesque, and its fatal head injury had sowhat deford its features,

Fang Xiaocao still found the corpse strangely familiar.

It seed to be soone she knew.

However, because of the twisted death grimace, she couldn’t imdiately recall their identity.

“Weird, who could it be?”

Fang Xiaocao searched her mory for the intel Song Lin had shared—a report Shi Guang had sent before his demise.

She tried to find any ntion of soone familiar falling into Qi Yu’s hands.

But there was no such reference in Shi Guang’s report.

“Wait…”

“Shi Guang?”

Fang Xiaocao’s eyes suddenly widened in disbelief.

Looking at the familiar corpse before her—

It was Shi Guang?

“Damn Qi Yu, he actually turned Shi Guang’s corpse into a specin and displayed it in his bedroom?”

Fang Xiaocao cursed Qi Yu’s barbaric cruelty with fiery anger.

Her gaze toward Shi Guang’s lifeless body was filled with sorrow and regret.

Only months ago, Shi Guang had been a bright, cheerful young man.

Now, that sunny boy had turned into a cold, motionless corpse.

And not even allowed a proper burial; instead, he was turned into a grotesque decoration by this deranged maniac.

Fang Xiaocao’s heart filled with a dark, murderous intent.

She had never wanted to dismber Qi Yu so badly.

Fang Xiaocao lowered Shi Guang’s corpse to the ground and covered his head with her jacket.

“Shi Guang, rest here for now.”

“Once I find the person I’m looking for, I’ll take you out of here.”

“I’ll make sure you’re laid to rest properly.”

Fang Xiaocao murmured softly to Shi Guang’s lifeless form.

She stood up and scanned the bedroom.

All the human-like sculptures she had taken for statues turned out to be real corpses.

She counted quickly—there were more than a dozen of them.

Her eyes caught another familiar face among the corpses—

It was Shen Tao’s body, also turned into a specin and displayed in the room.

Fang Xiaocao took a deep breath, confirming that neither Qi Yu nor the girl she was searching for were in the room.

She turned to leave.

Qi Yu must have escaped when they entered the villa.

Or perhaps he had been tipped off the mont they arrived at the villa district gates.

The security guards at the gate might be compromised.

They could have been bribed by Qi Yu, or worse, be his n entirely.

Fang Xiaocao pulled out her phone and dialed Song Lin.

It was necessary for Song Lin to investigate the identities of those security guards; there might be an unexpected breakthrough.
