Chapter 802: Chapter 478: Determination_3

This was the key mont.

Ti continued to move forward, and Harrison Clark, along with countless others, focused their gaze on the imaging of the optical detector.

The reports showed that it was a success, but it was human nature to want to see with their own eyes before they could truly be at ease.

The four petals of the Prism Ship, which originally opened like the jaws of an abyss, were barely closed together, severely deford, resembling a severely sunburned ice cream, even more like a cone licked multiple tis by a dog.

The tip of the Star-shattering Cannon erged from the wrap of the ice cream, no longer spewing deadly energy rays.

The lted exterior of the Prism Ship did not instantly revert either; it seed to have turned into a lifeless object.

“Beep, beep, beep.”

Ergency reports rang in Harrison Clark’s highest communication channel.

Clark clicked on the play button.

A familiar female voice resounded in the ssage, from the Biological Research Institute under the Academy.

“We have just developed a new ability for the Space Plant Network, which can detect life through resonance. A vine plant is located a hundred thousand kiloters away from the Prism Ship’s side wing. Resonance detection indicates that there are no signs of life surviving in the Prism Ship.”

Clark nodded calmly, “Very well.”

After that, he closed the communication.

He exited the dia network, stood at the forefront of the Ship Bridge command cabin, looking at the still pitch-black cosmic space ahead, and glanced at the silhouette of the Prism Ship projected onto the visual panel above his head.

He clenched his fists heavily.

They had succeeded.

Half an hour later, in the virtual training base of the Star Shadow Warriors.

Clark stood on a high platform.

Below him were 26,000 familiar faces and 24,000 unfamiliar ones.

In the previous battle, the Torrent Assault Team suffered heavy losses, and another 10,000 of Clark’s students were transferred to fill the team’s ranks.

The command of the Torrent Assault Team had changed from Marthus to another man – O’Brien.

Below the stage, the 50,000 people stood in perfect formation, their hands folded behind their backs and their faces somber.

At this mont, everyone was watching the replay of Marthus’s operation.

The short battle, lasting over 200 seconds, was extended to three hours when played back in slow motion.

Every now and then, Clark would pause the playback and explain to the others why Marthus had to take such action here and how Marthus perfectly combined his equipnt with his own abilities.

The closer to the end, the more frequent Clark’s explanations were, as Marthus’s intuitive predictions increased.

It took Clark a total of eight hours to finish the lesson.

Finally, he slowly stood up and said, “The ability shown by Marthus here is the level I hope you will reach. He accomplished sothing that the Egyptian tribe, spanning the entire Milky Way Galaxy, has never achieved through thousands of years of warfare. He sank a Prism Ship! He killed a Compound-Eyed Observer!”

There was still silence below the stage.

Clark clenched his right fist and struck his chest, “Now, Marthus is my proudest comrade!”

There was a slight, barely noticeable disturbance in the crowd.

So seed not to be convinced, especially those Shadow Forces mbers who had applied for the mission but were rejected.

Clark: “Many of you have more talent than him, but he has done what you have not yet achieved before you. You don’t have to be ashad of it because he has gained so additional abilities besides his talents. I think you should understand what these additional abilities are.”

At this point, Daniel Thompson, the Chief Assistant Instructor standing behind Clark, seed to consider the others and said, “We ask the Chief Instructor to enlighten us.”

Clark smiled and asked first, “Do you know what has enabled humans to stand out in the competition of nature in every generation and, within a thousand years, surpass the Egyptian tribe, the preeminent rulers of the Milky Way, and reach this height today?”

Daniel hesitated, “Wisdom?”

Clark shook his head, “No, it’s the determination to forge ahead that is engraved in both our genes and the depths of our souls.”
