Hearing Xu Zimo’s words, Du Xiaozhuang was startled.

“Brother Xu, don’t joke around.”

“I’m not joking,” Xu Zimo shook his head.

“I went to the Ancient Relicfolk’s particle world and took control of the entire race along the way. Your Patriarch, Heaven-Seer, isn’t suitable to be Patriarch anymore. From now on, I’m the one calling the shots. If you don’t believe , I can take you there right now to see for yourself.”

Du Xiaozhuang carefully sized up Xu Zimo.

He suddenly felt as though he had fallen into so kind of sche.

Xu Zimo saving him had likely been just one part of the plan.

Xu Zimo wanted to gather information about the Ancient Relicfolk through him.

But Du Xiaozhuang also understood that he was just an ordinary mber of the clan. Even though his strength wasn’t weak, he had no access to the core secrets.

Xu Zimo had probably chosen him at random.

There wasn’t much about him that could be exploited.

Many thoughts ran through Du Xiaozhuang’s mind. Xu Zimo’s background, his purpose, and so on.

Unfortunately, he wasn’t very clever.

And he had been exposed to too little to piece anything together.

So he stopped thinking about it altogether.

Instead, he asked, “What if I... refuse?”

“Then refuse,” Xu Zimo said with a smile.

He casually poured himself a cup of tea. Just as he was about to drink, his hand loosened slightly.

The teacup slipped from his fingers and shattered on the ground.

“Sorry, I didn’t hold it steady,” Xu Zimo said with a smile.

Du Xiaozhuang froze. He felt that Xu Zimo was hinting at sothing.

If he refused, would he die? Would the Ancient Relicfolk be wiped out?

“Well… I won’t ask about anything else,” Du Xiaozhuang said hurriedly.

“Just tell , why did you choose ?”

“Because you’re steady,” Xu Zimo replied with a smile.

“I need a steady, obedient Ancient Relicfolk. That Heaven-Seer just won’t do.”

Du Xiaozhuang gave a bitter smile. Since when had being steady beco an outstanding quality?

Was the threshold for being a Patriarch really that low?

No need for talent or leadership, just obedience and stability?

“If Brother Xu thinks so highly of , then I, Du Xiaozhuang, a re tea seller, will naturally agree,” Du Xiaozhuang said with a laugh.

“I can’t be shaless after being shown respect. I don’t have much ability, and I can tell you’re no ordinary person. I’ll follow you from now on.”

“Good,” Xu Zimo nodded.

“Tomorrow, you’ll go to the Ancient Relicfolk’s particle world. From now on, you’ll be in charge there.”

Du Xiaozhuang nodded.

The re-organization of the Ancient Relicfolk was completed.

Three days later, the Ancient Relicfolk sent a statent to all races.

The old ancestor who had predicted the existence of a world beyond the heavens had already died, and his predictions were rely delusions.

There was no such thing as a heaven beyond the heavens.

Whether the other races believed it or not did not matter.

Xu Zimo then allowed the Myriad Beast Realm, led by Chaos, to erge.

Previously, he had kept them hidden because the natives of the God World were too fragile, and he feared things might spiral out of control.

Now, it seed those natives were simply too idle. They needed sothing to occupy them.

The ergence of the Myriad Beast Realm shocked all races.

Only the beast race was overjoyed.

Chaos imdiately used overwhelming strength and appeasent policies to bring all beast factions under his command.

The beast race now faintly stood as the strongest among the myriad races.

Next, it would be the other races’ turn to suffer headaches.

Xu Zimo then left the God World.

He knew that Chaos and the others were now natives of the God World as well, and letting them handle matters was the best outco.

He could not interfere.

More importantly, he needed to strengthen himself.

As long as his own strength was sufficient, what was there to fear from Heaven-Slayers?

He would simply crush them all.

The Nine Heavens.

After a long passage through space and ti, Xu Zimo finally reached the end of the teleportation route.

However, the destination was not Jade Court.

Instead, it was a place called the Thirteen Cities of Blood Prison.

This place lay on the outskirts of the Mirage Tides Heaven.

Jade Court was located at the boundary between the Mirage Tides Heaven and the Azure Mystic Heaven.

Due to the limitations of the teleportation formation, Xu Zimo never expected to arrive in one jump.

The Mirage Tides Heaven was a very peculiar place.

All the dead of the Nine Heavens entered the Mirage Tides Heaven after death.

However, the Mirage Tides Heaven was divided into an outer region and an inner world.

The inner world was the core of the Mirage Tides Heaven, also known as the Netherworld.

It had strict divisions and systems of reincarnation. In principle, aside from the dead, no one was allowed to enter.

The outer region, on the other hand, was a place where fierce ghosts and restless spirits lingered after death, unwilling to enter the true Netherworld.

After dwelling there for a long ti, these ghosts gradually gained awareness and began to live much like humans.

The Thirteen Cities of Blood Prison before Xu Zimo were exactly such a place.

Thirteen massive cities were connected together, forming sothing like a colossal beast.

The city walls were blood-red, and no trace of life could be felt.

Endless deathly aura surged into the sky, dyeing the heavens a dark crimson-black.

Xu Zimo slowly walked toward the Thirteen Cities of Blood Prison.

He was unfamiliar with the place and wanted to enter to see if there was a teleportation formation inside.

Since he had already arrived in the Mirage Tides Heaven, Jade Court should not be far away.

When he reached the gates, he saw that they were tightly shut and deathly silent.

Xu Zimo knocked on the gate, using a bit too much force.

The gate echoed with heavy thuds, like the beating of a drum.

But after a while, no one responded.

Xu Zimo simply increased his strength and smashed a hole straight through the city gate.

The sudden deafening noise seed to alarm sothing.

Inside the city, a gust of foul wind mixed with black mist rose instantly.

Xu Zimo sensed it slightly and frowned.

He slled death energy, extrely dense death energy.

There was not a trace of living aura here.

The gate had been smashed open, and through the rolling black fog, pairs of blood-red eyes seed to be staring at him.

Xu Zimo smiled.

He slowly walked into the city.

As he stepped past the iron gate, the already vast black mist inside seed to grow even denser and more concentrated.

The shattered gate behind him was enveloped by black mist and transford into a pitch-black doorway.

“They’ve sealed off my retreat,” Xu Zimo chuckled.

“But that’s fine. I didn’t plan on leaving so easily anyway. In a mont, you’ll be kneeling and begging to leave.”

The black mist surged violently, condensing into teor-like masses.

Voices echoed from within.

“A living person?”

“This really is an unprecedented sight. A living human dares to step into our Mirage Tides Heaven.”

“How long has it been since the Thirteen Cities of Blood Prison tasted fresh blood?”

These voices made no effort to hide themselves. They spoke openly in front of Xu Zimo.

As if he were already a fish in a jar, a piece of at on the chopping block.

“I say, instead of just making noise, why don’t you co down and play?” Xu Zimo said with a smile, looking up at the black mist in the sky.

“Is this human provoking us?” one voice said in surprise.

“Seems like it,” the ghosts replied, equally astonished.

A living being dared to be so arrogant in the Mirage Tides Heaven?

“This kid must be a newborn calf that doesn’t fear the tiger, soone who’s never experienced despair,” a voice sneered.

“Go capture him. Don’t rush to eat him. Torture him slowly.”
