Synthia pouted again but then scratched the back of her head and said, "Ah, I forgot about the main thing."

Then she said as she walked to the front, her voice was a bit loud. "Ragnar, follow . You have to et soone."

He didn’t think twice as he started following behind her. ’et who? Well, if it helps in progressing the story and quests, then sure.’

After a while, they arrived at a room with multiple stone tables in the center. They were carved with faded magic circles.

Scattered across them were glass vials filled with murky liquids and powdered monster cores, so sealed with crude magic instead of proper corks.

The inside of the room was slightly dim; the light was only coming through the windows. A person was using a machine; it seed as if they were making sothing.

Synthia took him to that person as her voice ca low. "Big sis Sia, did you finally create the thing you’re working on?"

Sia looked towards them as her hands were still holding the flask, which carried a chemical mixture in it.

She was wearing specs; her hair was ssy and dark brown. Then her voice ca shaky. "H-Hey, Synthia."

She took a small pause as she continued again. "I haven’t completed it yet. It’ll take a few more days."

Synthia tapped her back slightly, her voice ca playful. "You’ll make it, big sis Sia."

She took a pause and then looked at Leon, pointed towards him, and said, "This is our new mber, Ragnar."

Leon bowed slightly as his voice ca firm. "Greetings to the senior."

A small smile curled up on Sia’s lips as her voice ca low but a bit shaky. "He-Hello, Ragnar."

A wicked thought curled up in Leon’s head. ’What if I ask to help her out? Will I get a quest or sothing like that?’

His gaze fell onto the flask and then back to Sia’s ey;s, his voice ca steady. "Senior, do you want any help?"

Sia gulped; her hands trembled slightly as she put the flask on the stone table. "Uh... I don’t know."

He placed his hand on her shoulder, and a smile curled up on his lips. "I’ll be grateful to be of any help to you."

Synthia jumped onto a chair and sat on it as her voice ca a bit loud. "Yes, big sis. Make our newbie work."

A small, tired smile was tucked onto Sia’s lips as she said, "Okay then, I need a lot of resources."

She took a small pause and then turned towards Synthia. "Can you write it all down for him, Synthia?"

Synthia gave a big nod and picked up a pen and paper from inside the drawer.

She looked at Synthia once and then back at Leon. Her voice ca steady this ti. "I want you to bring the cores of normal monsters." She took a small pause and continued. "Skeletons, Dark Imps, and Bone Hounds."

Synthia wrote all three down on the paper and then looked up at Sia.

A small sigh escaped through Sia’s lips as she said, "Do this much for now, Ragnar."

Leon just gave a small nod and then took the paper from Synthia and left the room.

A bead of sweat welled up on Leon’s forehead as he ran his hand through his long hair and then tied it with a rubber band. ’A Hidden Quest, huh? I actually hit two jackpots today. First with the titles and now this quest.’

A smile was tucked up on his face as he made his way to the Tower Master’s room; his steps were slow and composed.

When he reached the Tower Master’s room, he entered and closed the door behind him with a low thud.

Velexeria was writing sothing on a paper. A bird’s feather was in her hand, and her eyes were covered with specs. She lifted her eyes slightly, looking at him.

He bowed down slightly as his voice ca low. "Tower Master, may I ask for one personal request?"

A small smirk curled up on her lips as she put the feather down and placed her hand below her chin. "First day here and already making requests, huh?"

Leon straightened his back and looked straight into her eyes. A small smirk curled up on his lips as his voice ca deep. "Yes, Tower Master. And it’s definitely not for free. I’d like to take a few useful skill books and give the assurance that I’ll pay you back twice the amount."

A small chuckle escaped her lips. She flicked her fingers, and two books ca flying out from the bookshelves on Leon’s right.

The books flew straight towards Leon and stopped when they reached near his hands. He extended both hands and grabbed them.

A small smile curled up on his lips, and his voice was polite. "Thanks, Tower Master." He bowed slightly as he left through the door and closed it with a low creak.

’Ti to use them both.’
