She pouted as she leaned slightly towards him; her voice ca low. "I’m Synthia. Synthia Everfrost, and call senior. I’m on a higher rank than you."

A small smile curled up on Leon’s face, eyes closed slightly as his voice ca deep. "I’m Ragnar. I joined today only."

’Why are these NPCs full of emotions? Is it so glitch or?’

Synthia grabbed Leon’s hand as she turned towards the door and started walking. "Co with , newbie Ragnar."

A small smirk curled up on Leon’s face as he followed her behind, his voice ca low but firm. "Yes, Senior Synthia."

Synthia humd slightly as she led the way. After walking for a bit, they reached a room.

There was a board hanging on top of the room entrance:

Tower Master

Leon’s gaze fell onto the board. He maintained an expressionless face, then his voice ca steady. "Senior, why are you taking to the Tower Master’s room?"

She slightly turned her head towards Leon, a small smile on her lips. "Don’t you want to know more about our tower?"

He took his hand to the back of his neck and scratched it slightly. "Well, you’re right," he said softly.

’That didn’t answer my question, though.’

When they both entered the room, the inside of it was made out of dark marble, and on top of it, there were slight engravings of the color purple. There were bookshelves kept in front of each wall, and a bunch of books were kept inside them.

There was a huge table in the middle of the room. There were two windows on both sides, and the sunlight was entering the room through the windows.

On the table, there was a chair next to it, and sitting on top of it was a beautiful lady.

Leon’s gaze fell on her as he scanned her fully. She was wearing a purple hat, her eyes were dark black, and her hair was of the sa color.

She was wearing a long robe of black robe, and her eyes were fixed on a sheet of paper on which she was writing sothing.

Synthia rushed straight to her and hugged her from behind, her voice ca loud but playful. "Big sis Velexaria, I brought a newcor with ."

Leon bowed slightly as he said politely. "I assu that you’re the Tower Master, so it’s a pleasure to be in your presence."

Velexaria’s gaze shifted to Leon as her hand slightly raised to Synthia’s head. She patted her lightly. "Yes, I’m the Tower Master, and you are?"

He adjusted his stance, straightened his back as his voice ca steady. "I’m Ragnar, Novice Mage."

A small smirk curled up on Velexaria’s lips. "Synthia, did you guide him and show him the tower yet?"

Synthia shook her head slightly and said softly, her tone playful. "No, big sis."

His gaze scanned the entire room, then shifted back to Velexaria as he said, "I know a little bit about this tower. There’s no need to visit everything personally."

A small smirk curled up on Velexaria’s face as she put her hand below her chin and looked straight into Leon’s eyes. "And still you chose our tower? After knowing that this is the worst one of them all?"

Leon smirked as he ran his hand through his hair, brushing it slightly. "Who wants to take an easy route? If I had chosen sothing else, then I would have been in my comfort zone."

He took a small pause and then stepped forward as he kept his hand on the Tower Master’s table and continued. "And I know that no mage can be the best if they’re in their comfort zone."

Velexaria’s lips curled into a smirk as she said softly. "You’re a different type, huh?" She studied him from top to bottom and continued. "Synthia, guide this young man and give him a tour of the tower."

Synthia jumped forward as she grabbed Leon’s hand and took him out of the room. "Aye aye, big sis."

When they both left the Tower Master’s room, Synthia said, "There are a total of five mbers, including you, in our tower."

Leon’s eye twitched slightly as his voice ca low. "Only five?" His tone was filled with concern.

She looked back into Leon’s eyes and said with a small smile on her face, "New mages either go to the Water or Fire Towers. No one cos to us because we’re at the bottom of the list."

Her eyes lowered slightly as she continued. "Only if we hadn’t lost our tower’s grimoire back then." Her voice ca low, almost a whisper.

Leon heard her. His eyes were fixed on her, but he didn’t question anything about it yet.

While giving him the tour of the tower, she was also explaining the rooms to him. "There are a total of eight rooms in our tower. Two of them are used for research, and two of them we use to train and do small spars. There are two rooms for living, one is the Tower Master’s room, and one is the room for entry and guests."

His voice ca low as he scanned each of the rooms carefully. "Aren’t we poor?"

Synthia looked back at Leon as she kept walking ahead; her voice ca a bit loud. "Well, we are poor, but we have enough for essential stuff and can run our tower."

A small sigh escaped from Leon’s mouth as he said, "You’re right about that. The resources are fewer, but they’re functional and in top condition."

She just nodded softly, agreeing with him. "Yes, you’re quick to notice things, huh, newbie?"

A smile tucked up on his lips as he said slowly. "You taught all that, senior."

Her lips curled into a small pout. "Don’t lie, newbie."

A small chuckle left his mouth as he leaned in slightly to get to her face level. "I’m not lying, Senior Synthia."

Synthia pouted again, then scratched the back of her head and said, "Ah, I forgot about the main thing."
