anwhile, deep within the base, Sherry was with the Governor in a huge open area.
On the sides, there were machines beeping and lights blinking.
In the deepest corner, there was a machine that looked like the one where Athena was.
Sherry was standing in front of it.
The Governor fumbled around for a few monts before he opened the briefcase.
After he was done, he placed his palm onto the device and keyed in the access code.
Sherry also did the sa on a control panel in front of the machine.
Psst.
A compartnt on the machine opened, giving off chill air.
Sherry glanced at it and waited.
After a few monts, a hand appeared from the compartnt.
"What ti is it?" A man’s voice spoke from within the compartnt.
"Derrick, I’m here under the orders of the Leader," Sherry said.
The man got up from the compartnt with half of his body visible.
He shook his head and glanced around.
"The Leader?" Derrick asked with a confused look.
Sherry pondered for a mont and said, "If I’m not wrong, he would be known as Lawrence to you."
"Huh? Lawrence? The Leader?"
Derrick felt a sharp pinch in his head, and he had to rub his temple to try and soothe it.
mories began flooding back.
Who he was, why he was hibernating, and what he had wanted ca back into his mind.
When the pain subsided, he glanced over at Sherry and said, "Did I do sothing wrong for him to get out of my hibernation?"
Sherry shook her head and briefed him on what had happened.
Derrick listened intently, and suddenly, the alarm sound went off.
"We have trouble incoming," Sherry said.
She expected Derrick to take the lead, but he didn’t.
Derrick was what the Leader had ntioned.
Always trying to run away from everything.
But Sherry knew that they had no choice now and had to face the threat.

"Argh."
Olivia wanted to unleash her purple glowing chains at Lukas, but she could feel her innards being pulled to the ground.
She dropped to her knees from the six tis gravity.
Then, she felt the hairs on her body stand on their ends.
Looking up, Olivia saw that there were pillars of lightning coming down at her.
She quickly wrapped her body with her purple glowing chains.
Boom.
When the pillars of lightning struck Olivia, she imdiately felt that sothing had happened.
As the pillars of lightning ravaged her, the purple glowing chains of hers started to be chipped off from the ensuing explosions.
Soon, the lightning cage was ford, and the lightning cage started to close in on Olivia.
The Dark Lord knew he had to do sothing.
Using his hands aid at the lightning cage, the dark glow darted at the lightning cage.
When the dark glow contacted the lightning cage, the lightning cage dissipated imdiately.
Olivia took the opportunity and tried to unleash her purple glowing chains at Lukas.
She was astonished when she realized that she was moving in slow motion like a stop motion movie.
With her slow movent, the purple glowing chains shot out at Lukas in vain.
He had gotten out of the way monts ago.
Lukas then drew out his plasma katanas and lunged at her next.
Olivia tried to roll to the side, but she was too slow for it.
The glowing plasma blades ca close to her face before a dark glow darted out at the plasma blades.
Dang.
The force from the impact swung the blades to the side.
A feat few could muster with Lukas’s Physique Level.
Lukas changed his focus to the Dark Lord instead.
He turned around and lunged at the Dark Lord.
The Dark Lord used his dark glow and tried to grab onto Lukas’s body.
Thud.
Lukas used his Gravity ability on the Dark Lord, making him nearly kneel on the ground.
Next, the Dark Lord felt his hands being grabbed by sothing.
Lukas’s Shadow Wielder had sneaked up on the Dark Lord when he was distracted by the change of gravity.
The Dark Lord frowned as he knew what was coming for him.
Pillars of lightning appeared above him.
More of the lightning gathered before they ca down onto the Dark Lord.
Boom.
The Dark Lord used his ability and nullified the pillars of lightning.
However, it wasn’t over yet.
Ice crystals appeared in the air, and ice pillars rose from the ground.
When the ice pillars ca into contact with the dark glow of the Dark Lord, they also dissipated.
Seeing how using such attacks was useless against the Dark Lord, Lukas changed his strategy.
He lunged at the Dark Lord with his plasma katana.
When he got near the Dark Lord, he swung them at the Dark Lord’s neck.
Thud.
The Dark Lord raised his arms to stop the blades, and the blades went through the dark glow and hit the arms of the Dark Lord.
And to the Dark Lord’s surprise, Lukas let go of his hands from the katanas’ handles.
He pulled back his arms and gave a right hook at the Dark Lord’s head.
Boom.
As Lukas’s punch broke through the air, it gave out a loud boom.
The ensuing airwave from his fist hit the Dark Lord’s head.
It caused the Dark Lord’s head to sway to the side.
Lukas followed up with his left fist.
This ti the airwave he unleashed ca at the Dark Lord’s face directly.
Thud.
The Dark Lord’s head was knocked back, and he dropped to the ground.
Lukas grabbed onto the handles of the plasma katana, which were on their way to falling to the ground, turned the blades downward, and he plunged them at the Dark Lord’s body.
Splatter.
The blades of the plasma katana plunged through the Dark Lord’s chest.
Lukas’s hunch was right.
The Dark Lord’s dark glow wasn’t immune to physical attacks.
He mustered his strength, and he tried to pull the plasma katanas to the side to slice the Dark Lord’s chest open.
The Dark Lord gave out a grunt from the pain, and he kicked at the ground.
This let him slide a few feet away from Lukas.
