Sara and Night appeared in front of a chamber in a flash.

After the terrifying thought appeared that he might lose his summons if he got a Class that didn’t support them, he had quickly asked Sara to bring him to awaken his Class. He had unsummoned his friends in a panic as well.

Surprised, since she hadn’t even finished sharing what she knew about Classes but seeing Night’s small panicked face and watching him recall his summons, she didn’t question him and brought him here.

Night looked around. He saw a massive tal gate in front of him, so huge it looked like it was made for beings two or three tis the size of an average human adult.

He saw a being sitting cross-legged in front of the door. It looked entirely alien. It had smooth white skin, a white tail, and a huge horn that looked more like a pointed blade than an actual horn. It wore black armor as its clothing. It didn’t have a nose, just two small holes in its place, making him wonder if it survived on oxygen or so other elent entirely.

The mont they appeared, it opened its eyes. The sclera was yellow instead of white, and its irises were pitch black with bright yellow, vertical pupils.

It looked exactly like a lost cousin of Frieza (DBZ reference) with a horn.

As soon as it saw Sara, it looked puzzled. Tilting its head, it asked in a strange, alien voice, "Why did you bring the child here in front of instead of directly inside the chamber for Class Awakening?"

Hearing this Sara looked at Night from the corner of her eye, hoping for a scared reaction but she was soon disappointed.

Instead of wetting his pants, he looked like he had just seen sothing incredibly cool.

Clicking her tongue, Sara muttered, "Oh, I just wanted to scare him."

Night glared at her, wrinkling his nose. ( ̄^ ̄ )

Then he turned back to look at the alien creature, absolutely fascinated by its voice and appearance. (☆▽☆)

The alien said, "I see your prank seems to have failed."

It then looked at Night and asked, "Why do I feel like this child is not human?"

Night looked at it in shock, not understanding how it could possibly sense sothing like that. Seeing his exaggerated response the alien confird its doubts.

Sara clarified, "He is human, but at the sa ti, he is not."

Hearing her cryptic answer, which was clearly ant to confuse it the alien simply shrugged. Rolling its eyes in a remarkably human gesture, it replied, "Yeah, I believe you," clearly calling bullshit on her explanation.

Sara then covered her mouth with a fist, gave a fake cough, and said, "Night, this here is Blade. She was a dungeon boss who managed to escape her dungeon by using her Unique Skill. She is a Unique Being, which ans she is the only one of her kind in all of existence."

Hearing the description Night was incredibly curious, but he kept his questions to himself since he didn’t know the unique being called Blade well enough yet.

The puzzled look on Blade’s face deepened. "It is odd. Not only did you bring a not-so-human kid here, but you also told him about . What are you scheming?"

Looking at the alien nad Blade, Sara continued smoothly, "This here is Night, and he is a new student at the Academy."

Now even Night was starting to realize Sara was up to sothing. This felt less like a simple formality and more like a deliberate introduction.

Sara acted like it was all a happy coincidence and continued, "Let’s get Night’s Class awakened. Do you wish to follow us? Sothing interesting might happen."

Blade replied with a skeptical expression, "I was only asked to guard this treasure."

"What better way to guard a treasure than to keep a close eye on it?" Sara countered.

Blade couldn’t argue with that logic; she needed to be close to the treasure to guard it properly, so she agreed.

She felt like she was being tricked but didn’t have any definite proof. She figured going into the chamber was fine; guarding it from the inside was the sa as guarding it from the outside anyway.

Night decided to look at his status, since it had been a while since he last checked it.

Status

Na: Night (Nightmare)

Race: Homunculus (Artificial Human)

Level: 6 (EXP: 385/700)

Unique Skills: [Nightmare Domain]

Summons: [Eve], [Lilith], [Death], [Lucy]

Title: [Awakened]

I received 100 EV directly from the food Sara gave us. It should be approximately 20 EV for each plate.

It is a good way to regenerate EV but according to Sara this thod is a little expensive and completely out of my budget, he thought.

He desperately needed a way to overco his EV regeneration issues. He actually had a unique idea but didn’t know if it would actually work.

Blade turned and walked toward the chamber and the massive door opened. Sara and Night followed her inside.

Inside it didn’t look like a normal room at all; it felt completely spherical. It was as if they had walked into a giant hollow globe rather than a box-shaped room.

"Careful with your step, it’s spherical in shape," Sara warned.

It was a colossal room about 500 ters in diater. In the exact center floating above a small grey platform, was a black sphere that was incredibly easy to spot against the blinding white background.

It looked like a tiny marble, roughly one centiter in diater. The interesting thing was that it had appeared exactly the sa size to him from the mont he entered the massive chamber.

Even when they walked right up to it, it still looked the exact sa size. It was almost as if it was constantly adjusting its scale just to maintain that specific perspective.

It looked remarkably similar to the System’s white ball he had seen during [The Awakening Ceremony].

Blade stood to the side silently, acting as if she didn’t want to disturb the process.

"Have you thought this through or do you need more information and guidance?" Sara asked, turning to look at him with a serious expression.

"I have thought it through," Night nodded firmly.

"Share the Class options with us if you wish to hear our thoughts, but in the end you choose whichever you like," Sara said. "In case I don’t understand one of them, you can ask Blade here as well."

Blade smiled internally, realizing she had finally found the reason she had been invited in. But she quickly frowned, realizing she was the last person they should be asking for advice on this.

After all, how was she supposed to understand Classes when she, as a Unique Being, didn’t even have a Class to begin with?

Blade: (._.?)

"Check your status now. It should be showing you the option to choose your Class," Sara instructed.

Night checked his status screen, noticing an imdiate change in the line detailing his Class.

[Class: 5 Options Available]

"It says I have 5 options!" he told Sara excitedly.

"Five is the maximum a person can get," Sara smiled. "It ans you have excellent Records."

She knows about Records? Night thought in surprise. Lucy said it was a very important thing... I’ll have to ask her about it later.

Night focused his mind on the prompt and the options expanded before his eyes.

Looking at the list, he vigorously rubbed his eyes in disbelief. Seeing his reaction, Sara grew worried that he hadn’t gotten the type of Class she had hoped for while Blade leaned in with obvious interest.

He saw percentages listed right beside the Classes. Guessing what they ant, he asked, "Are the percentages beside the nas my affinity with the Class?"

"Yes," Sara confird. "It shows how compatible your Records are with these Classes, or you could say the Classes are the manifestation of your Records. ’Records’ are basically a record of all the things you have accomplished and experienced."

"Good Records an high potential and bad Records an you have a lot of work to do on yourself. From what I have heard, they are the determining factor in whether you can eventually cross Level 100 or not."

"The affinity of the Class ranges from 100% to 1%. One hundred is the absolute highest and one is, well, the lowest."

Night looked at her and asked in confusion, "100% is the maximum?"

Sara clarified, "It must be. A percentage beyond that would be logically pointless, right? If the compatibility is flawlessly high, it should simply cap out and show as 100%."

Night then looked weirdly back at his Class choices, wondering why the heck he had a Class with an affinity greater than 100%.

Also, why did it have such a ominous na?

[Class Selection]

[Natural Calamity (101%)]

[Summoner (100%)]

[Lord of Nightmare (95%)]

[Silent Bloodthirsty Assassin (75%)]

[Humanity Last Hope (1%)]

Night: (?_?)
