Gu Ren helped Ye Zhi to sit on the sofa. Gu Ren carefully embraced her and covered her with the blanket before asking.
“Do you like it?”
The snown were very beautiful, but Ye Zhi didn’t want Gu Ren to catch a cold. There was so freshly boiled milk on the tea table, so Ye Zhi poured a cup and stuffed it into Gu Ren’s hand.
The milk had a sweet and rich taste that Ye Zhi liked, but Gu Ren didn’t enjoy it.
After she beca pregnant, Ye Zhi especially liked to eat sweet things, so the milk in front of her was boiled according to her taste.
However, Ye Zhi didn’t drink it often and only occasionally relieved her cravings. She was worried that having too much sweet foods would make her gain weight too fast, making it difficult to give birth.
But when Gu Ren inexplicably found that he was given an extra glass of milk that was too sweet, he did not refuse.
Because as long as it was given by Ye Zhi, even if it was poisonous dicine, Gu Ren would drink it without hesitation.
Gu Ren drank a few mouthfuls of the sweetened milk and the rich sweetness suddenly ward his body.
Ye Zhi hooked Gu Ren’s palm, “What should I do if you get sick this ti?”
Gu Ren just smiled and did not answer Ye Zhi’s question directly.
“Then I’ll pay attention next ti.”
Ye Zhi just wanted to say sothing, but she didn’t expect a sudden pain in her stomach. Ye Zhi looked at the snown outside regretfully. Could it be that the child was about to be born now? She hadn’t even enjoyed the snown that Gu Ren had made for her for that long yet.
Ye Zhi originally wanted to stay a little longer, but Gu Ren was more attentive than her. As soon as Ye Zhi frowned, Gu Ren noticed the change in her expression.
“What’s wrong? Are you not feeling well?”
Gu Ren saw Ye Zhi’s hand covering her stomach and imdiately guessed the reason. His originally low-pitched and pleasant voice was now dyed with a hint of anxiety.
“Are you going to give birth? I’ll take you to the hospital.”
Ye Zhi subconsciously glanced out the window, “The snown…”
Gu Ren was almost going to laugh as he was baffled by Ye Zhi; were the snown more important at this point of ti? But he knew that Ye Zhi felt bad about it since he spent ti making them.
Gu Ren comforted Ye Zhi, but he kept on moving, helping Ye Zhi to get up.
“Be good, I’ll build as many snown as you want in the future.”
When the winter was over, artificial snowfall would be made. Then, Ye Zhi and her child would build a yard of snown to watch for as long as they want.
Gu Ren personally drove Ye Zhi to the hospital. Before leaving, Gu Ren notified the Sheng family and the Gu family.
The due date was a few days earlier than expected, but Gu Ren had already made preparations in advance. As soon as he arrived at the hospital, he was sent to the advanced ward for childbirth.
When Ye Zhi was pushed into the delivery room, Gu Ren also trailed behind while the Gu family and Nie Jiqing, who had co over, waited outside the operating room.
The lights on the top of the hospital ceiling were shining brightly and the sll of disinfectant chemicals was in the air, making everyone feel a bit nervous.
For a while, the atmosphere outside the ward was so quiet that even the air seed still. They stared at the door of the operating room from ti to ti, hoping that a nurse would co out to tell them the good news in the next second.
Gu Ren held Ye Zhi’s hand the whole ti and hours ticked by. Even so, there was no sign of the baby’s cry.
