Against her husband who was jealous of a baby and an energetic child that wasn’t even born, Ye Zhi couldn’t help but worry about her future.

Ti flew by quickly and Ye Zhi’s due date was soon approaching.

Coincidentally, the birth season of Ye Zhi and Gu Ren’s child was also winter, which was the season when the two had t each other in their previous lives.

Before the child was born, snow began to fall from the skies. Pure and white snowflakes coated the edge of the windows and the glass was covered with a thin layer of mist.

The snowfall was beautiful, but Gu Ren only allowed Ye Zhi to sit in the living room and enjoy the scene. It was too cold outside, so Ye Zhi’s walks were now all done at ho.

Gu Ren also specifically placed a sofa and a small tea table in a space that he had emptied beside the window. A thick blanket was naturally draped on the sofa as he let Ye Zhi lie down on it.

Ye Zhi couldn’t help laughing— she just wanted to watch the snow for a bit, not sit there all day without budging.

However, there was a day where Ye Zhi wanted to do that. When she woke up one morning, Gu Ren was nowhere to be seen. Generally speaking, she would always be able to see Gu Ren as soon as she opened her eyes, so this was a really abnormal situation.

Ye Zhi felt that sothing was up and walked out of the room slowly.

Several months ago, Gu Ren thought that it would be too dangerous for Ye Zhi to go up and down the stairs frequently, so he moved their room to the first floor to prevent any accidents from happening.

Ye Zhi, as usual, wanted to sit on the sofa that Gu Ren had prepared for her. Just as she was going to take a seat, she was attracted by the scene outside the window.

Ye Zhi walked to the window and looked into the yard. Compared to what it was yesterday, there were more things in the yard.

Several snown of all kinds were piled up in the courtyard. The snown were placed at an appropriate distance and she could see them clearly from where she was.

There were three snown in total— a mini snowman stood between the two taller snown, like a family of three.

Ye Zhi smiled. One look at these snown and she knew who was the one behind their creation.

In the next second, the door opened and Gu Ren walked in from outside. As soon as he saw Ye Zhi standing there, he imdiately closed the door.

Gu Ren’s clothes seed to have snow all over it. As soon as the snow ca into contact with the warm air, it instantly lted and left a thin layer of water vapour behind.

Upon seeing Gu Ren’s return, Ye Zhi imdiately looked away from the window and wanted to walk towards him.

Ye Zhi had just taken the first step, but Gu Ren, who was still at the entrance, took a few steps back and almost walked to the door.

“My body is cold; I’ll co and hug you later.”

Ye Zhi was amused by Gu Ren’s ‘assumption’, not surprised that he knew she wanted to hug him even though she hadn’t said a word.

After Gu Ren changed his clothes, he walked over to Ye Zhi’s side. He even ward his hands before coming over and held her hand.

Gu Ren knew what Ye Zhi was thinking— she definitely wanted to hold his hand. Sure enough, as soon as he ca over, Ye Zhi imdiately took his hand and wanted to cover him up with the blanket.

As soon as she touched Gu Ren’s warm hand, Ye Zhi smiled again.

There was no way his hands would regain their warmth in such a short amount of ti unless he did so extra movents to make sure they were warm.
