Ye Zhi was worried that Gu Ren would feed her her breakfast at this point, so she imdiately turned to his side, wrapping her arms around Gu Ren’s neck, “Let’s eat together. We’re still going for a walk by the beach later.”
Gu Ren chuckled lightly and his light breath fell over Ye Zhi’s ears.
Gu Ren didn’t let go of his hand in a hurry, but gently hugged Ye Zhi before taking a step back, wanting to sit on the opposite side of her.
Ye Zhi felt Gu Ren leave and she hesitated for half a second, but she reached out and moved his breakfast towards the seat beside her, “My husband, sit next to .”
Gu Ren was caught off guard when he heard these two words and his footsteps paused. Then, he took a seat beside Ye Zhi. When his voice fell again, it was obviously hoarse.
“Call that a few more tis.”
Gu Ren looked down at her as his whole being seed to be lingering under the clear sunlight. His voice was slightly tight, but the light in his eyes was intertwined with the darkness, hiding a turbulent emotion.
Gu Ren’s gaze was intense and burning. On the other hand, Ye Zhi’s earlobes were on fire as the heat eventually spread towards her face.
Ye Zhi originally wanted to hide, but she quickly retracted the idea. She approached Gu Ren,placing her chin lightly on Gu Ren’s shoulder.
She could see Gu Ren’s breathing through his side profile. Gu Ren liked hearing the term of endearnt fall from her lips, and Ye Zhi cooperatively uttered it a few more tis by his ear.
Ye Zhi was afraid that if she said it anymore, she might not even be able to eat breakfast.
As soon as Ye Zhi finished, without paying attention to Gu Ren’s reaction, she imdiately lowered her head to eat breakfast.
Gu Ren did not move for a long ti on the sidelines as Ye Zhi kept her head down and listened to any sort of movent next to her. After a few seconds, a deep laughter broke out amidst the silent air.
Gu Ren seed to be intentionally laughing at Ye Zhi.
He laughed at her cowardice, at the way she provoked him but shrank into her shell right after.
Ye Zhi pretended that she didn’t hear his laugh as she angrily poked the olette in the bowl with a fork. However, when she saw the shape of the olette, she quickly noticed sothing.
This olette was obviously decorated with Gu Ren’s handwriting on it. For the sake of Gu Ren making breakfast for her, she was going to be benevolent and ignore whatever had transpired.
After all, she was the one who provoked Gu Ren first before backing off.
It took a while for them to finish their breakfast before Ye Zhi and Gu Ren went out.
The villa was not far from the sea. Ye Zhi had just walked a few steps when she could start to sll the humid sea breeze. The mont the salty air blew on her face, all her thoughts dissipated along with the wind.
Gu Ren walked beside Ye Zhi with their hands tightly clasped together. They never separated their fingers from the start of their walk.
The sea breeze blew Ye Zhi’s long skirt as it flowed leisurely like a butterfly fluttering its wings. There were only a few people on the beach and it was empty as it was quiet, but it brought Gu Ren and Ye Zhi closer together.
They stepped barefoot on the fine sand, leaving a trail of footprints behind them.
After the vacation was over, the two families flew back ho.
