“If he bites , I’ll chop him up. What’s so hard about that?” Tan Xiao confidently declared, “I’m telling you guys, are you up for this or not? Weaklings have no right to be my adversaries, get it?”
The one who had spoken earlier was rendered speechless and fell silent.
The man in the hat frowned, glanced at Tan Xiao, and lost the mood for banter. After a mont of thought, he said gravely, “Since this soldier is alive, it’s highly probable the other soldiers are too. This place is very strange, and everyone has been trapped alive in the vines for so reason. Everyone should be careful while searching for swords.”
He looked around, his brow furrowed tighter, “Why is there soone missing again? Where is that curly-haired guy from earlier?”
The team had just been ford, and he hadn’t learned everyone’s nas yet.
“There!” The only young woman in the team pointed it out to him, “He’s resting behind that pillar.”
“Resting?” The man in the hat sensed sothing wrong; he rembered that the curly-haired man had been scratched by the thorns earlier.
The man in the hat walked over and the others followed.
Tan Xiao, of course, joined them.
Behind the pillar was a stone stairway where the curly-haired man was sitting on the steps, propping himself up with a sword, his head nodding off as he dozed.
Seeing this, the man in the hat was shocked and, without thinking, kicked out!
The sword in the curly-haired man’s hand was kicked away, and his upper body lost balance and pitched forward! He abruptly woke up and saw the man in the hat and his teammates in front of him, looking bewildered.
“What are you doing?!” the man in the hat barked, “Falling asleep at a ti like this?!”
