Tan Xiao chopped a few more tis, severing a section of the vine to reveal the person inside.
It was a young man with light golden hair, pale and thin, like the pretty boys often seen in zombie movies.
Tan Xiao held his sword and took a closer look, wondering if this guy was one of Willard’s subjects.
“What are you doing?!”
A sudden shout ca from a distance!
Tan Xiao was startled. He looked up and saw it was the man with the hat, returning with his companions. They were agitated and indignant, evidently treating him as a murderer.
Tan Xiao hurriedly said, “Hey! This has nothing to do with ! I was just looking for the sword, how was I to know he was stuck inside?!”
“Maybe you were the one who pushed him in there!” The curly-haired guy charged forward a few steps and fiercely said, “I’m warning you! Stay away from our people! Don’t think that just because there are ga rules, no one dares to touch you!”
“Let’s leave him for now, let’s just get the person out!” the man with the hat said.
They worked together to drag the “pretty boy” out from the vines. His body was tightly trapped, and in the process, they had to chop vigorously for a while, and the curly-haired guy accidentally got pricked.
“Are you okay?” the man with the hat asked.
The curly-haired guy shook his hand and scowled at his wound, “Nothing serious, just a scratch on the back of my hand.”
“Still, be careful, these vines aren’t normal,” the man with the hat said.
The curly-haired guy nodded, feeling a bit nervous inside. Although he didn’t feel anything wrong with his body for the ti being, it was inevitable to be uneasy after entering the ga and discovering a companion wrapped in plants.

“Could he have suffocated?” suggested the curly-haired guy. “We didn’t even hear a cry for help. I bet he was suffocated by these vines.”

But no one paid attention to him.
The man with the hat looked at the pretty boy on the ground, his brow deeply furrowed, “Is he really dead?… Check again carefully.”
The guy checking the body, upon hearing this, instinctively reached to feel for breathing. His expression imdiately turned to surprise, and he couldn’t help but lean down to listen at the pretty boy’s chest, becoming even more shocked.
“…He’s not dead, he’s still alive!”
“Not dead?! Really?!”
Everyone was dumbfounded.
A few others gathered around to listen to the heartbeat, all exclaiming, “He’s really alive! There’s a heartbeat!”
“Hurry and wake him up!” said the curly-haired guy anxiously. “Once he’s awake, ask him what happened, and why he got tangled by the vines. Could these plants be poisonous?”
He was concerned about the scratch on the back of his hand, eager to find an answer.
But no matter what, the man wouldn’t wake up. They even tried giving him water, attempting to pour it into his mouth, but it was useless.
“Could he be poisoned, which is why he’s unconscious?” soone asked.
The man with the hat asked the curly-haired guy, “How do you feel now?”
The curly-haired guy paused, lifted his hand to look at the back of it.
The scratch had scabbed over, hardly bled, and didn’t hurt.
“I… I don’t feel much of anything right now…”
The man with the hat said, “These vines are very strange; everyone try to keep your distance, especially be careful not to get pricked.”
“But we still need to find the sword…” soone raised an objection, “Many roads and paths are blocked by these vines, we can’t search without clearing them.”
“Maybe we should use fire?” soone else suggested.
“Can we not ss around? This place is full of vines, if they really catch fire, we’ll all get roasted!”
Tan Xiao squatted nearby, listening to these people’s nurous ideas. Since he was out of leads, he decided to just follow them and take it one step at a ti.
The man with the hat said, “Let’s do this, there are many soldiers here, everyone first find a weapon for themselves, then we’ll think of how to explore this place.”
