Before Wang Lan’s eyes, the slides were swiftly passing by. His na was Pan Yang, born in Salt City, an unremarkable Star Martial Warrior, who had served in the military, fought wars, been a Pioneer, faced sieges by Exotic Beasts, and witnessed beast tides attacking cities.

He was an experienced old hand—his only creed in life was to stay alive. As to why he didn’t stay comfortable in the big city... because it wasn’t allowed.

A year ago, in the Pioneer Space of the Cloud Sea, Pan Yang’s team was ordered to scout for the movents of Exotic Beasts in the Chaos Mist of the southern region. They proceeded with extre caution, yet they were still discovered by the beasts.

These were a group of Exotic Beasts similar to bats, possessing extrely sensitive flight abilities and capable of spitting high-temperature fireballs. The team scattered in all directions while being pursued, no longer caring for their bearings.

After running for a day, the team finally shook off the pursuit. However, they had no idea where they were, and from the original twenty-two mbers, now only seven or eight remained, among whom was Yan Tong.

The team began to search for their way back, wandering aimlessly for most of the day, and, astoundingly, ended up where they started. It was then that Yan Tong found a Different Dinsional Space in this canyon.

The occurrence of a Different Dinsional Space within the Pioneer Space was sothing beyond their imagination. The captain believed this to be crucial intelligence and personally entered the space to investigate.

Before long, the captain ca out and said that the Different Dinsional Space seed to contain ancient ruins nestled in deep mountain forests.

The team of seven or eight followed into the Different Dinsional Space, where the houses were severely weathered, unrecognizable from their original state, and moreover, the space was incredibly small, rely the size of a fragnt of space.

Soon after, they found many ancient Cultivation Techniques within the Different Dinsional Space. This discovery delighted the team mbers to no end; such ancient Cultivation Techniques were virtually nonexistent in the world and certainly not sothing they could acquire as re mortals.

While everyone was caught up in revelry, Yan Tong picked up a Buddha statue. Through Pan Yang’s mories, it was clear that this Buddha statue was the very Demon-restricting Buddha Statue that triggered the museum tragedy.

Their joy didn’t last long before a dark shadow appeared, striking like a ghost. Within the blink of an eye, four or five of seven or eight mbers were killed.

The strongest among them, the Galaxy Stage captain, was effortlessly slain by the monster. But before the captain was killed, he mustered all his strength to shatter the space node, and with a loud roar urged his brothers to run—

Pan Yang and Yan Tong were the closest to the exit, and they sprinted desperately towards it. However, the dark shadow was relentlessly pursuing them from behind. The other brothers were already dead, and the monster was monts from catching up.

At this mont, Pan Yang was running ahead of Yan Tong, just a step away from dashing out of the space. But at that mont, Yan Tong suddenly attacked Pan Yang from behind. Pan Yang was knocked to the ground, and the monster pounced on him like a ravenous tiger, while Yan Tong, without looking back, left the Different Dinsional Space.

The Different Dinsional Space then twisted shut, and Pan Yang lost consciousness, consud by deep resentnt towards Yan Tong.

But Pan Yang’s mory did not end there. Not long after, he slowly ca to, only to find a pitch-black demon standing before him, who claid to be Evil spirit, an ancient god sealed here by Buddha Shakyamuni three thousand years ago.

Afterward, Pan Yang was possessed by Evil spirit, and it took him half a year to finally reopen the Ti and Space Tunnel and erge in the Human World. Only then did Pan Yang learn that he had been declared dead by Yan Tong, who had beco a hero and was enjoying the benefits bestowed by the state for retired warriors.

Enraged, Pan Yang had killed Yan Tong for revenge during the Star Martial contest. The reason he took the Demon-restricting Buddha Statue was that it contained Evil spirit’s Primordial Spirit. Previously, Evil spirit had only managed to escape with half of his Primordial Spirit, but by taking the statue, he now possessed his complete Primordial Spirit and had taken possession of a young girl abducted by Pan Yang.

Having been possessed by Evil spirit for a ti, Pan Yang had so understanding of its origins. Evil spirit was originally a low-ranking mber of the Demon Clan. The Demon Clan has a social structure, with each mber’s societal status predetermined from birth.

If a human’s future social status is determined through their own efforts, encounters, and talents, the fate of a Demon Clan mber is sealed the mont they are born.

A low-ranking demon will always remain low-ranked; no amount of effort can break through the limitations of innate ability. With no military genius or talent for battle, one is dood to be cannon fodder for life.

Did the low-ranking demons accept their fate? Of course not. But that was the cruel destiny of a low-ranking demon. Evil spirit, however, was a demon who broke free from such fate. He believed that what limited his ascension was his useless body, so upon accidentally acquiring the blood of the Demon God, he made a decision to completely transform himself.

But how could a lower demon be worthy of the Demon God’s Blood? He thought of an alternative thod – absorbing the genes of higher-ranking demons and continuously strengthening his body to assimilate the Demon God’s Blood.

The more genes he absorbed, the more abnormal Evil spirit’s body beca. Although it constantly deviated from his expectations, Evil spirit’s power indeed grew stronger. He gradually obtained an Undying Body; as long as a single cell remained, he could be reborn. Naturally, revival ca at the cost of another demon’s Life Force as a sacrifice.

Soon, Evil spirit’s sche was exposed, and he beca a wanted criminal within the Demon Clan. Despite possessing an Undying Body, his strength still fell short compared to the Demon Clan’s God Warriors.

Eventually, after being pursued by twelve God Warriors, Evil spirit was captured. At that mont, he had a hundred thousand lives; each ti the Demon Clan killed him, a demon whose genes he had absorbed would die.

To thoroughly kill the Evil spirit, one must kill him over a hundred thousand tis, the price being the lives of a hundred thousand of the Demon Clan. This made it impossible for the Demon Clan to kill him; they could only imprison him. And because the Evil spirit had absorbed the blood of the Demon God, his lifespan was incomparably long.

Three thousand years ago, the Demon Clan’s army once again invaded the Human World. That ti, they released a group of exceedingly vicious criminals into the Human World. A large portion of those criminals died on the battlefields of the Human World, but the Evil spirit lived an incredibly lush and carefree life.

The heart of the Evil spirit had long since stopped belonging to the Demon Clan, and he held the Demon Clan’s strategic goals in utter contempt; he lived only for himself. Afterwards, he ca to the Cloud Sea and established the Longevity Sect to develop his own forces.

If the Demon Clan’s influence affected his rule, the Evil spirit would even give the Demon Clan a hard ti. He believed he hadn’t done anything that hard the Human Race. He didn’t understand why human cultivators were so repulsed by him and regarded him as a mortal enemy.

Was it not just controlling the life and death of humans in the Cloud Sea region? Did I not also grant them the power to control the life and death of others?

Three thousand years ago, Buddha Shakyamuni, with a host of disciples, fled from India, which had already completely fallen. Passing through the Cloud Sea, they joined forces with the local cultivation powers and had a great battle with the Evil spirit.

To the local cultivation powers, the abilities of the Evil spirit seed unsolvable, but to the Buddhist experts of the Buddha Shakyamuni’s sect, this was not the case. They possessed a novel Star Martial Skill called the Sealing thod.

This skill was nauseating for the Evil spirit; it wouldn’t kill you, but it could imprison you. Such an imprisonnt would leave you unable to live or die as desired, unable to free yourself or commit suicide—only to be consud by endless loneliness and solitude.

Buddha Shakyamuni and the local cultivation Sect Gates quickly turned the tide and overwheld the opposition; afterwards, the Evil spirit was sealed up until now.

Wang Lan released Pan Yang, who had already beco stupefied, his face devoid of intelligence like an idiot.

Zeng Xiaomo stepped forward to Wang Lan’s side, "How is it? Did you find anything?"

Wang Lan looked down at Pan Yang who was collapsed on the ground, "The harvest is not small. He’s been abandoned by the Evil spirit, and he’s done a lot of evil, harming many. Just kill him."

The Tianjian Bureau has the authority to decide life and death. As long as the evidence is conclusive and rits capital punishnt, they can execute first and report afterwards, unless the person is very important or has a special identity.

Without hesitation, Zeng Xiaomo beheaded Pan Yang with a single strike, his head soaring into the sky.

Back at the Tianjian Bureau, Wang Lan called Lige and others together for a debriefing eting.

"Although this operation was very perfect, with Pan Yang and his group of followers all being executed, the real chief instigator, the Evil spirit, is still at large. Moreover, the abilities of the Evil spirit are so harmful that if we don’t eliminate him, he could quickly develop a following more than ten tis larger in a short period."

"But even Pan Yang doesn’t know the whereabouts of the Evil spirit, and the Evil spirit is an entity that can possess others and change form at will; finding him is like looking for a needle in a haystack."

"Whether it is looking for a needle in a haystack or not, whether we can find it is up to fate, but whether or not we try is up to us. I have written down all the details of the Evil spirit and reported it nationwide."

"With the mainstream Star Martial Skills, we currently cannot restrain the Evil spirit; only sealing techniques are relatively effective against him. This also requires Tianjian Bureaus across the country to be prepared in advance, so we won’t be helpless when the Evil spirit appears."

"Okay, I’ll have the communications departnt arrange this imdiately."

The national announcent from Suzhou City spread quickly across the country, and the file on the Evil spirit sent the blood pressures of Tianjian Bureaus nationwide through the roof. What kind of monster is this? Unkillable? Only sealable? Also particularly able to grant ordinary people extraordinary powers? Even better for Star Martial Warriors?

Just by cutting off mortal ties and killing kin to prove their path, one could gain the power bestowed by the Evil spirit? For many people battered by society and suffocated by life, this was a deadly temptation.

Moreover, in the human world, there was never a shortage of people driven by their base instincts. Like those who operate in the gray areas, they had long since lost their conscience. If they knew about the existence of the Evil spirit, wouldn’t they all rush towards destruction like moths to a fla?

The Evil spirit is a Heart Demon, a threat to the nation and society on a scale exponentially greater than Drulu. Because the Evil spirit dissolves humanity from the inside, eroding people’s minds.

Initially, Pan Yang targeted those who had lost hope in life and felt betrayed by society. This was because his vision had not yet widened enough to see the real source: the group of people with low character, filthy thoughts, and despicable behavior, including scoundrels, slicksters, and mafia elents.

Therefore, Pan Yang only managed to develop a re ten followers. Given enough ti, he would definitely realize this and then bring a disruptive disaster to the human world.

What Pan Yang couldn’t think of, the national Tianjian Bureaus could. Thus, as the announcent was issued, it sent shockwaves across the nation, even the Ministry of Defense was alerted imdiately.
