Chapter 433: Chapter 430 – Reunited Amid the Shadow Storm

The purple mist grew even thicker, as if intent on swallowing all remaining light, hope, and life in this hellish dinsion. The dark purple hue swirled slowly like a living vortex, crushing visibility until only faint shadows remained within a three-ter radius. The roars of shadow monsters echoed from every direction GRRRRAAAAAHHHH!!! creating an endless symphony of death that shook the chest and made the ears ring. The slippery stone ground trembled violently every ti a new wave erged from the mist, as if the dinsion itself was alive and furious, hungry to devour the intruders.

Sylvia slashed without pause. The slender rapier in her hand moved like a deadly silver flash in the thick darkness SHING! SHING! SCHLAAAKKK! Every cut had to be perfect. There was no room for even the slightest mistake. Sweat poured down her cold, focused face, making her long black ponytail stick to her back and neck. Her tight black tank top was completely soaked, clinging to her athletic body like a second skin. The lines of her tense abs, chest, and trained arms were clearly visible through the wet fabric. Her cropped jacket was torn at the shoulders, waist, and sleeves, revealing small cuts and minor wounds on her smooth white skin that healed quickly thanks to her natural regeneration.

Their numbers aren’t decreasing, she said through telepathy while dodging a claw aid at her neck by just a few centiters. The cold gust from the claw made her hairs stand on end. I’m moving toward your right, Stacia. Alicia, cover the middle path as best you can.

I’m trying, Stacia replied. Her breathing sounded heavy and labored in Sylvia’s mind. These daggers are too short for this many waves. They’re coming too fast from the mist.

I’ll clear a path, Alicia said firmly, her voice remaining calm despite the underlying tension.

From her position, still about seventy ters away, Alicia raised her simple wooden staff high. Although she was holding back her full power as a grand mage, mid-level attack spells still poured out like a storm. Fireballs exploded continuously into the monster horde BOOOOMMM! BOOOOMMM! Bright orange explosions montarily blinded the area within the purple mist, incinerating dozens of shadow creatures at once into thick black smoke mixed with the scent of ozone and rotting flesh. Wind Blades flew like invisible scythes, slicing through other groups of monsters with a sharp SWIIISSHHH!, leaving pieces of darkness scattering before vanishing.

Sylvia and Stacia imdiately took advantage of the opening. They fought while advancing smartly, not blindly rushing, but retreating, spinning, leaping, and progressing gradually while protecting each other’s positions.

Sylvia slashed two monsters in front of her with an elegant circular motion SCHLAAAKKK! Thick black fluid sprayed in all directions. She then leaped backward, dodging a side attack, using a large slippery rock as a foothold. With a beautiful high jump, she slashed the third monster from above, splitting its shadowy body in two before it exploded into smoke. The mont she landed with bent knees, she imdiately ran several ters toward Stacia while continuing to cut down any monsters blocking her path. Every step left a trail on the purple-moss-covered ground. Her breathing grew heavier, and the muscles in her thighs and calves burned.

Stacia used similar tactics with her signature agility. She threw her dagger forward SWISH! piercing the head of a small alpha monster precisely, then recalled it with a simple spell while zigzagging toward Sylvia. The dagger spun through the air like a loyal falcon before smoothly returning to her palm. Her gray jacket was soaked through, clinging to her slender, agile body. Her hair stuck to her forehead from sweat, her breathing was ragged, but her movents remained efficient, no energy wasted.

I see you two! Alicia called through telepathy, her voice full of spirit. She unleashed a barrage of Earth Spikes between her sisters and the sea of enemies. Sharp stone spikes erupted suddenly from the slippery ground CRACK! CRACK! CRACK! impaling shadow creatures from below with horrifying sounds, lifting several monsters into the air before they exploded into smoke.

Slowly but surely, the distance between the three of them grew shorter. The mist seed to grow angrier, thickening again to cover the gaps that had been created.

Sylvia slashed the last monster blocking her path to Stacia. STAB! Her rapier pierced through the creature’s chest and out its back with lethal precision. She yanked her sword back roughly, spraying thick black fluid everywhere that mixed with the sweat on her face. Stacia leaped through the remaining monster smoke and finally stood beside Sylvia, their shoulders nearly touching.

They exchanged a brief glance. Sweat poured down both their faces, their breathing ragged, hair disheveled, yet their eyes burned with strong determination.

"It’s easier now," Stacia said with a faint smile despite her exhaustion, her voice slightly hoarse.

"Yes," Sylvia replied coldly, her voice still steady. "Alicia, stay behind us. We’ll take the front line."

With Sylvia and Stacia reunited, the battle dynamic changed drastically. The pressure that had felt overwhelming before now beca manageable.

Sylvia and Stacia fought side by side like killing machines honed over decades. Sylvia used her rapier for precise strikes and lethal thrusts to vital points, eyes, neck, and the center of the dark veins. Stacia, with her dual daggers, handled rapid attacks, severing tendons and slicing joints. They covered each other perfectly: when Sylvia thrust forward, Stacia protected her flanks and rear with deadly spinning daggers. When Stacia threw her daggers at distant monsters, Sylvia advanced to close the gaps and clear the surrounding area.

From the rear, Alicia provided deadly and precise long-range support. Her wooden staff spun nonstop, unleashing a beautifully coordinated barrage of spells. Fireballs destroyed clustered groups of monsters, Ice Spears impaled creatures trying to approach her sisters from the sides, and Wind Blades cleared the path ahead with sharp gusts.

Their coordination was now perfect like a deadly dance of death.

BOOOOMMM!

A massive explosion from Alicia cleared a wide area in front of them. Sylvia and Stacia charged forward without hesitation, brutally yet elegantly cutting down the remaining monsters. SCHLAAAKKK! SCHLICK! STAB! STAB! Black smoke exploded everywhere, creating a second, even thicker and eye-stinging mist.

Even so, the monster waves showed no sign of stopping. The further they advanced, the more creatures erged from the depths of the mist. But with the three of them reunited, the pressure they felt was greatly reduced. They began to find their rhythm.

Sylvia felt the muscles in her arms burning intensely, her shoulders aching from the repetitive motions, yet she continued moving without pause. Her rapier was already slippery with thick, fishy monster fluid, but her strikes remained sharp and lethal. Stacia breathed more heavily, her chest rising and falling rapidly, her jacket and tank top soaked and clinging to her slender body. Alicia continued casting spells relentlessly from behind, her beautiful face full of concentration even as sweat poured down her neck, chest, and back. Her white-silver tank top clung perfectly to her voluptuous figure, and her long silver hair was ssy and stuck to her skin.

Keep moving forward, Sylvia said through telepathy. We need to find a more open area. It’s too cramped here and works in their favor.

The three of them began moving in coordinated, Alicia clearing paths with wide-area magic, while Sylvia and Stacia cleaned up the rest with close-range weapons. Every step was accompanied by spell explosions, weapon clashes, and increasingly frustrated monster roars.

GRRRRAAAAAHHHH!!!

A much larger giant alpha monster, nearly three ters tall, with many curved horns and a body full of strongly pulsing dark veins, erged from the thickest part of the mist. It roared loudly, summoning dozens of smaller monsters as reinforcents. The vibration of its roar caused small cracks to form in the ground.

"This one’s big," Stacia muttered while wiping sweat from her eyes.

Sylvia smiled coldly, her blue eyes narrowing. "Good. Let’s test our real coordination."

Alicia imdiately unleashed a powerful Wind Storm to slow the giant monster’s movents. Fierce winds spun violently, temporarily pushing the mist aside and clearly revealing the monster’s silhouette. Sylvia and Stacia leaped forward at the sa ti with perfect timing.

Sylvia attacked from the left, her rapier stabbing straight into one of the giant monster’s eyes. STAB! Stacia attacked from the right, her daggers delivering two rapid slashes to the tendons in its hind leg. Alicia cast a Lightning Bolt from behind that struck the monster’s back with blinding white-blue light.

CRACKLE!!! BOOOOMMM!!!

The giant monster roared in excruciating pain, its voice shaking the entire area. It swung its massive claws that could crush stone, but Sylvia and Stacia had already moved nimbly out of the way, using ruined rocks as footholds. They continued attacking in turns, switching positions seamlessly, while Alicia maintained pressure from a distance with an endless combination of spells.

The battle raged intensely and brutally for several minutes that felt like hours. Sweat poured down all three of their bodies. Their tank tops were drenched, muscles visibly tense beneath the fabric, hair disheveled, breathing ragged yet the longer it went on, the more they adapted to this insane fighting rhythm. The purple mist continued to shift, the strange whispers growing louder, as if the dinsion itself was watching them in fury.

Finally, with Sylvia’s final thrust that pierced the giant monster’s heart using all the power of her sword technique, the creature let out one last roar before its body exploded into a thick cloud of black smoke that temporarily blinded them.

Around them, the monster wave thinned out for the ti being, giving them room to breathe.

The three of them finally stood side by side, breathing heavily, bodies drenched in sweat from head to toe, but their eyes filled with even stronger determination.

"We’ve managed to reunite," Sylvia said quietly, her voice still cold despite her heavy exhaustion.

Stacia smiled tiredly while cleaning the black fluid from her daggers. "Our coordination is still the best. Just like old tis."

Alicia approached, her staff still faintly glowing with residual mana. Her wet silver hair shimred. "Let’s keep going. This rift is still long, and I’m sure the next waves will be even worse."
