Chapter 420: Chapter 417 – Monsters That Are Getting Stronger

Several hours passed inside the dark dinsional rift filled with the pulse of ancient energy. Ti felt very different here; the thick blackish-purple mist made it difficult to distinguish between day and night. Only the slowly accelerating pulse of the purple stone walls and the increasingly rare, distant monster roars served as markers that ti continued to move in a strange and unpredictable rhythm.

Sylvia stood in the middle of a wide corridor already littered with sharp purple crystal shards and floating black dust. Her long black mantle fluttered gently in the cold, damp dinsional wind, her extrely long black hair cascading like living dark silk. The Chains of Abyss on her wrists still rattled softly clink... clink... as if the chains were not yet satisfied after slaughtering hundreds of monsters in a short ti.

The latest notification echoed clearly in Sylvia’s mind. Her level had risen drastically in a relatively short ti. The deathly power within her body felt purer, deeper, and far easier to control. The cold aura radiating from her now caused the purple mist around her to retreat several ters, as if the darkness itself feared to approach.

Stacia closed her grimoire with a heavy thud. Her eight black wings folded neatly behind her back, but the obsidian feathers still glead with newly gained energy. "Level 45... this leveling is truly insane. I felt the sa surge of power. My spells are now much faster, stronger, and more energy-efficient."

Alicia floated gently beside them, her spirit body translucent and faintly shimring under the dim purple mist light. Her silver hair flowed like living, slowly swirling smoke. "I feel it too. The vitality I absorb feels purer and thicker. My spirit body is becoming more stable. This area really does give an extraordinarily high exp bonus."

Sylvia gazed at the corridor ahead, which had grown quiet. The corpses of Shadow Beasts, Crystal Golems, Void Wraiths, and even several Void Titans had already been devoured or shattered into floating black dust. No more roars could be heard nearby. Only the slow pulse of the purple stone walls and the cold breath of the dinsional wind remained.

"The monsters in this area have been cleared for now," Sylvia said coldly, her voice echoing softly through the corridor. "Whether they can respawn or not, I don’t know. But for the ti being, it seems we’ve cleared most of the outer region of the rift."

Stacia nodded as she stored her grimoire in her personal storage space. "We’ve gone quite deep. The energy here is getting stronger and thicker. If we keep pushing without rest, we might get exhausted even though our levels are rising quickly. Our souls and bodies still need ti to adjust."

Alicia floated closer, her spirit body slowly rotating in the air. "I agree. We don’t know how much ti has passed in the outside world. It’s better to rest here tonight and continue tomorrow with full strength. We need ti to consolidate the new power we’ve gained."

Sylvia nodded once, her decision firm. "Alright. Let’s find a suitable place to rest."

The three of them went deeper until they found a relatively safe small chamber, a natural alcove in the rift wall with a low ceiling and only one narrow entrance. Its walls pulsed faintly with dim purple light, but no monsters remained in the surrounding area. The spot was well-hidden and easy to defend.

Sylvia raised her right hand. From her system storage, she took out a high-quality tent along with complete camping equipnt, an elegant black tent with protective runes already engraved, thick cold-resistant carpets, warm blankets, pillows, and even a compact cooking set. All the items appeared from thin air and neatly arranged themselves inside the alcove.

Stacia smiled at the convenience. "The system really makes things so much easier at tis like this. If we had to carry everything manually like before, it would have been much more troubleso."

They set up the tent quickly and efficiently. In front of the tent, Sylvia lit a small campfire using compressed death fire. The thick black flas burned steadily without excessive smoke, providing a strange yet comfortable warmth in the middle of the rift’s cold and damp darkness.

They sat around the campfire. Sylvia took out food supplies from her system storage still-fresh hard wheat bread, savory smoked at, thick soup in glass bottles, and sweet dried fruits. They ate in peace, with only the sound of spoons touching bowls and quiet chewing heard between the crackling of the black flas.

"Here we can’t tell whether it’s morning or still night," Stacia said while chewing bread dipped in warm soup. "Ti in this rift feels strange. As if the outside world moves at a different speed. This purple mist seems to disrupt the normal flow of ti."

Alicia floated slightly above the ground, her spirit body not truly sitting like a human. "I feel it too. The dinsional energy here interferes with ti perception. But at least we can rest peacefully without monster disturbances for now."

Sylvia stared at the slowly burning black campfire, its light reflecting in her red eyes. "We’ll take turns sleeping. Even though we don’t really need to sleep like ordinary humans, resting our souls is still important to adjust to the new power. I’ll take the first watch. You two rest."

Stacia and Alicia did not argue. They entered the tent and lay down on the thick carpet with warm blankets. Sylvia sat in front of the campfire, the Chains of Abyss coiled loosely around her like loyal guards on alert. Her eyes remained open, watching the corridor ahead with a cold and vigilant gaze.

The night (or whatever counted as night inside this rift) passed peacefully. Only the crackling of the black flas and the slow pulse of the purple stone walls could be heard in the darkness.

The next day or at least when they felt they had rested enough several monsters began to appear again.

It turned out the monsters in this rift could respawn. From the thick purple mist, new Shadow Beasts erged with slightly larger bodies, thicker muscles, and more ferocious auras. Crystal Golems also began reforming from the scattered crystal shards, this ti with thicker, sharper, and brighter-glowing crystals. Even Void Wraiths appeared in greater numbers and with more agile movents.

"Let’s start again," Sylvia said as she stood, her voice cold but filled with the spirit of training.

This ti the monsters that appeared were stronger than before. They could no longer be finished off with a single attack. These new Shadow Beasts had thicker and tougher skin, faster movents, and more savage attacks with claws that could leave acidic marks. Crystal Golems fired crystal spikes like a rain of sharp arrows, while Void Wraiths could create darkness illusions to deceive and attack from the shadows.

But for the three sisters, the battles were still relatively easy, though more challenging.

Sylvia swung her Chains of Abyss more seriously. The chains now moved faster and more accurately, coiling and destroying Shadow Beasts with two to three precise strikes. Stacia cast stronger spells, waves of darkness that burned groups of monsters at once with hotter black flas. Alicia floated nimbly, draining vitality with deeper and deadlier touches, her spirit body passing through attacks with ease.

The notifications continued to sound, though at a slower pace than yesterday. The respawned monsters still gave large amounts of exp, but not as much as when they first cleared the area.

Sylvia smiled faintly as she destroyed a Void Titan with one deep, powerful chain thrust. "They’re getting stronger. Good. This training is becoming more useful."

Stacia chuckled softly while casting a spell that destroyed three Crystal Golems at once. "If it keeps going like this, our levels will keep rising even if not as fast as yesterday. I already feel my wings getting lighter and my spells becoming more responsive."

Alicia quickly drained the soul of a Shadow Beast attacking from behind. " too. The energy I absorb feels purer. This rift really is the perfect training ground for us."

The three of them continued exterminating the endlessly appearing monsters. This round of battles was longer and more intense than yesterday, but still completely under their control. There were no serious injuries, only a few minor scratches that were instantly healed by their natural regeneration and death energy.

After a few more hours, the area around their tent beca quiet once again. The newly respawned monsters had been cleared for the ti being.

Sylvia cleaned the black dust from her hands. "Let’s rest for a bit longer. Then we’ll push deeper. The core of the rift still seems far ahead. We need to prepare ourselves for even stronger monsters."

Stacia nodded as she stored her grimoire. "Agreed. Our levels have risen quite a lot. We need ti to adjust to this new power before continuing."

Alicia floated beside them, her spirit body shining brighter. "I’m ready to continue anyti."

Inside the dark and endless dinsional rift, the three sisters sat once again in front of their tent. The black campfire burned slowly, illuminating their faces filled with cold determination and satisfaction.

Sylvia’s level was now at 47, and her two sisters felt equivalent power. This rift had beco the perfect training ground, a place where they could grow rapidly without any interference from the outside world.
