Drowning Ghost was a bit apprehensive as he was sent into the villa, having already learned from the chat stream about the difficulty of this "One Big Happy Family" instance.

The first two Ghost Survivors couldn't survive even a day; it was simply terrifying.

To know that they were supposed to hold out for ten days and ended up not even making it a tenth of the way had Drowning Ghost feeling at a loss.

'This ti there's only one human left, yet there are still three inevitable death rules.' Drowning Ghost noticed as the human smiled gently at him.

'Could it be that with each ghost's failure, a human gains powerful abilities, and after three tis, this instance will disappear?'

Drowning Ghost guessed at this matter in his mind, with the chat stream having shared quite a bit of info, of course, part of which was pieced together by combining ghosts' suggestions from the stream.

For other ghosts, this might be good news, but for Drowning Ghost, it was a major misfortune that he happened to arrive just then.

In other ongoing instances of "One Big Happy Family," the difficulty is high, but nothing so extre that two ghosts in a row couldn't survive even a day.

The mortality rate is high, but occasionally there's still one or two who manage to clear it. This ti, it was truly frightening.

Especially the human who received him, Yin Fenggui and Lantern Ghost both died at his hands, Yin Fenggui sowhat accepted as he was tricked into a mistake which led to his death.

Lantern Ghost's death was the most horrifying; the other side did not use ghost-killing rules, yet made Lantern Ghost drown alive in the swimming pool.

This indirectly showed that one must not only be wary of humans' ghost-killing rules, but humans have other ans to indirectly kill ghosts, and many thods as well.

"What's the matter, not acclimatized to your first visit here?" Da Tianwei leaned in to Drowning Ghost's ear and asked softly.

Hearing this voice, Drowning Ghost grew increasingly anxious; compared to Yin Fenggui and Lantern Ghost, Drowning Ghost was a more seasoned Ghost Survivor. Even when scared out of his wits, he did not show a trace of it.

"It is a bit unsettling, this place is much better than where I used to live." Drowning Ghost's words were a perfect mix of excitent and unease, flawlessly perford.

Da Tianwei saw Drowning Ghost's fearless deanor and understood he was dealing with a tricky one, clearly a veteran ghost who dared not show fear.

"Though the living conditions aren't great, it's where you grew up, so don't speak ill of it," Da Tianwei went along with the other's words, no trace of the previous aloofness from the last two tis.

This left Drowning Ghost inwardly lanting his plight, this ti it was truly ominous.

If things were the sa as before, it would an he could still learn from the mistakes of the previous two dead ghosts; now that the attitude had changed, it ant the other had entered a new phase, which was not good news.

It ant Drowning Ghost would have to explore anew without relying on previous answers.

Knowing full well, if it weren't for Lantern Ghost's unique circumstances, he would have had a good chance at lasting a day.

"I understand, there won't be a next ti." Drowning Ghost didn't argue with Da Tianwei but went along with his intentions, though he didn't admit fault either, knowing he'd be killed if he erred.

There are two types of errors: one is a factual mistake, the other is admitting to one.

The first type had already been tested by Yin Fenggui; as for the second, only two ghosts had co so far, with no one having verified it yet.

If he had admitted fault earlier, he might have verified whether it could trigger the human's ghost-killing rules.

Drowning Ghost only had one life and wasn't keen on testing it.

'I wonder what the next steps are, probably cooking als, right?' Drowning Ghost knew full well, both previous ghosts had to cook als, it should be the sa when it's his turn.

"Alright, let's go eat first." Da Tianwei casually said after bringing Drowning Ghost into the living room.

This left Drowning Ghost stunned. What's going on? Isn't he supposed to cook the al? How did it turn to eating?

'Too many changes, no clue if it's good or bad, hopefully the difficulty has decreased.' Drowning Ghost wasn't having a great experience,

To him, the changes were absurdly large, lacking even the most basic steps.

'Cooking, eating, reading, computer, then swimming; Lantern Ghost died at the fourth progression, but now my cooking process was skipped, going straight to eating. Does it an the remaining steps will also change?' Drowning Ghost felt so anxiety.

Outwardly he displayed nothing, just nodded obediently and sat down to eat.

During the al, he didn't speak, adhering to the rule of not speaking while eating or sleeping to ensure his safety.

Elsewhere, talking while eating might at most earn a scolding, but here, it was truly life-threatening.

The whole process was so tranquil, that even Drowning Ghost felt on edge, in his eyes, the difficulty of the "One Big Happy Family" instance was exceedingly high, it wasn't supposed to be like this.

The streaming chat also kept cautioning him, suggesting this might be the calm before the storm.

The al finished quickly, Da Tianwei didn't clean up but instead said: "Next, you can look around the study, maybe read books, or if you don't want to, feel free to look around."
