He was also eager for them to make it work with Rein; they even had to hurry up and have children. How else could he tie down Rein, the protagonist? It’s like being middle-aged, with parents above, children below, and a wife in the middle to provide for; he had to work diligently and dare not quit his job. Gu Shanhai’s idea was to secure Rein in this way.
Mainly, there was a problem with his identity, otherwise, it wouldn’t be so troubleso.
"Alright, choose your own rooms, class starts tomorrow," Gu Shanhai said with a smile.
As soon as he finished speaking, Gu Shanhai noticed that the atmosphere seed to beco a bit tense. Centered around Rein, there was an aura of a chaotic scene emanating.
Rein also noticed and started sweating profusely. He looked to Gu Shanhai for help, but found that Gu Shanhai had run off in a puff of smoke.
"I’ve got so things to handle, you guys take your ti choosing~" Gu Shanhai’s figure and voice faded into the distance.
At this scene, the four won were very grateful to Gu Shanhai, thinking to themselves: Uncle Saint is a good man!
"Rein, let’s go see what kind of houses Uncle has built for us," the Demon Giant Swordsman took the initiative, linking arms with Rein like a good buddy and walked into the town together.
"This is my first ti seeing such a chaotic scene; I hope everything goes well for Rein." Gu Shanhai hadn’t expected these events; he thought that there would be harmonious coexistence, but it seed he had underestimated the situation.
"With Rein’s situation, he definitely didn’t get the script of a mainstream fantasy novel protagonist; maybe it’s more like a harem protagonist from a light novel."
Gu Shanhai murmured a critique, as harem scenes in fantasy novels were unlikely to turn into a chaotic scene.
Afterward, Gu Shanhai found a spot to squat for half an hour, judging that enough ti had probably passed before he returned.
"Little White, let’s go. Stop gnawing; you’re going to gnaw the forest down to bare bones." Gu Shanhai glanced at Little White, who was bored and gnawing on a tree.
To Little White’s size, the trees in the forest were like big cabbages, chewed as snacks.
"Yo~" Little White seed to ask, couldn’t it have a snack when it was hungry?
"You can have snacks, sure, but you also need to watch your portions... wait, I rember you have quite a few bits and pieces on you." The bits and pieces Gu Shanhai ntioned were, of course, his Spirit Plants—used not just for Alchemy and cooking, but also as feed for Little White.
"Yo!" Little White’s eyes bulged, indicating, you have the nerve to say that? Despite being covered in blood, there were also shards of flesh, bones, and viscera. How was it supposed to eat that?
"You didn’t mind when you ate Mao Xuewang; you’re almost becoming an omnivore," Gu Shanhai retorted.
"Yo." Little White made a point—how could that be the sa? Mao Xuewang was cooked, whereas this at was not only raw but also still alive, making it hard to digest.
"Hard to digest, sure, but it’s nutritious." Gu Shanhai felt that his own flesh was akin to Monk Tang’s at; a regular person who ate it had a slim chance of prolonging their life, while other probabilities were, of course, turning into his clones.
Little White didn’t need to worry; it belonged to the Gu Shanhai clan and wouldn’t be assimilated but would simply absorb the nourishnt, even if digestion took longer.
As Little White carried Gu Shanhai back, it let out continuous yos. Previously, it had eaten a Ginseng Baby with flesh and had humd and hawed for half a month without digesting it.
So unless absolutely necessary, Little White definitely wouldn’t eat those bits and pieces.
After they returned, the turmoil had also settled. Gu Shanhai didn’t care how Rein handled it, but it did indirectly show that the kid had so ability to balance things.
"Uncle, you’re back?" Seeing Gu Shanhai return, Rein’s expression conveyed a sense of betrayal.
Pretending not to see, Gu Shanhai then said, "Yeah, Little White wanted to snack, so I took it to gnaw on so trees."
"Alright, I hope Little White doesn’t want to snack at such convenient tis next ti." After Rein’s comnt, he then took on a serious expression and pulled out a map: "In our area, there are five major adventure zones, naly..."
Rein quickly analyzed the intelligence and content with Gu Shanhai and ca up with a long list of plans.
"So, my plan is to start with the Tower of Destiny," Rein concluded.
"Oh, do as you see fit," Gu Shanhai responded nonchalantly, indicating that as long as Rein started the adventure, it would be enough.
"Good, then we’ll start gathering intelligence tomorrow, and we should be able to begin the adventure in at most a month," Rein was very satisfied with this, as Gu Shanhai didn’t interfere unnecessarily.
"Is a month enough?" Gu Shanhai, knowing Rein well, realized he was a careful person who wouldn’t act without assurance, thus, he would need a long ti to prepare. It was precisely because of this that the Green Light Adventure Team was dissatisfied with him, thinking him to be idle, but without Rein’s comprehensive plans and commands, it would be nearly impossible for them to consistently erge victorious with no casualties.
"Enough... I guess," Rein replied, sowhat taken aback by Gu Shanhai’s question.
"We can take it slow; good things co to those who wait," Gu Shanhai advised, aware that Rein was eager to show results.
"Mmm, I’m not in a rush," Rein felt moved by Gu Shanhai’s understanding, his previous actions often misunderstood by the Green Light Adventure Team.
"But, speaking of which, how co you’re still LV0? What’s the deal with your God-given profession?" Gu Shanhai inquired.
Rein was also startled; he hadn’t expected Gu Shanhai to see that he had a God-given profession. However, thinking about it, Gu Shanhai was the mysterious Saint. Although he seed a bit out of place in their company, that didn’t an he could be easily read by normal standards.
"My God-given profession is ’Automatic System,’ and the way I gain experience points is rather unique; I need to improve skills to level up. For each level, there is only one skill, and it’s not possible to acquire skills from defeating monsters," Rein explained with so bitterness. This wasn’t a secret; the mbers of the Green Light Adventure Team were aware.
Of course, it wouldn’t matter if this got out since it really seed useless.
"The first skill is called ’Auto Return,’ which allows to return to the adventure team’s base."
"What’s more important is that it’s not a space-related teleportation; it literally makes walk back or rely on a mount to return."
"To level up, I need to use ’Auto Return’ a thousand tis, and the distance involved must be substantial. It’s not sothing I can just spam at the doorstep."
Listening closely, it did sound absolutely useless, perhaps only helpful if one was lost.
"One hundred percent return rate?" Gu Shanhai asked curiously.
"The skill effect states 100 percent, and it indeed works that way. I could even sleep on the way back," Rein confird. Due to the thod and the perceived uselessness of leveling up, he had already abandoned the idea.
Hearing this, Gu Shanhai couldn’t help but gasp in astonishnt, "What a terror; what a terror. I’ve stumbled upon a treasure. Your profession must be the most powerful and defiant I’ve ever seen."
"???" Rein was perplexed, unsure if Gu Shanhai was being sarcastic.
"Level up as soon as you can. I can assure you that no other adventurer’s profession can compare to yours. You must believe in your potential and my judgnt. Just the word ’one-hundred-percent’ alone confirms its rule-defying nature," Gu Shanhai was unexpectedly impressed by the strength of Rein’s profession.
No wonder during the early stages of the version, it was at a disadvantage and couldn’t gain experience from defeating monsters. If later on skills like ’Auto Gather’ or ’Auto Battle’ appeared, and considering that the skill effects are all guaranteed at 100 percent, this ans any command issued would be fulfilled without fail.
"Really?" Rein was sowhat skeptical.
"Why would I lie to you? I’m a Saint; trust !" Gu Shanhai said earnestly.
This was an all-rounder profession; indeed, just the three words "one hundred percent" were enough to classify it among the strongest tier of God-given professions.
