Chapter 740: Chapter 617: Don’t be nervous, we are just passing through!
The cosmos, an unknown galaxy, the second spiral arm, Raven Star, within the Interstellar Protection and Security Office.
Upon receiving a first-level crisis alert from the howorld, the Governor Nide imdiately passed down the command.
“Could it be those damn silicon-based monsters attacking us again?” a senior deputy of triangular shape asked with great concern.
“No, this ti it’s because of another matter!” Governor Nide negated as he replied, “You should still rember that special signal we received a while ago, right?”
“Lord Nide, are you referring to the signal sent by the exploration fleets?” the senior deputy recalled imdiately.
They were extrely surprised when they originally received this ssage; if it weren’t for the log of the brain-like computers, they would have long forgotten about it after a thousand years.
Upon hearing that the howorld had dispatched fleets to investigate, he calculated that they should have arrived by now.
Governor Nide sighed and explained, “That signal was a trap… The fleet sent by the howorld was attacked by an even more powerful civilization, nearly annihilated, with only four main ships escaping back.”
To avoid causing panic, this news was currently only being circulated among their rank. The lower-level civilians didn’t even know that such a war had taken place.
“The worst-case scenario would be a small-scale conflict erupting at the border; it shouldn’t spread over here…” Nide comforted, allowing his deputies to finally ease their minds.
However, just a second after his words fell, the ground beneath their feet suddenly began to shake violently, followed by a terrifying rumbling sound!
“What’s going on?” Governor Nide rushed to the side, peering through the protective window towards the distance.
The gargantuan energy generator towering above the land was collapsing at an alarming rate, its dreadful energy aftermath breaking through the protective barriers like a tsunami, completely obliterating everything around…
Dazzling red lights lit up around Nide, a display of utmost terror because the energy generator contained a vast amount of antimatter. If it all erupted, the entire planet would be shredded to bits in an instant!
Fortunately, such a disaster did not occur as the horrific energy did not act directly upon the planet, instead shooting straight up into the sky, ripping the azure firmant apart!
The red lights around Nide intensified, for he had realized soone was preparing to create a wormhole above this planet!
“War, this is war!” Nide roared in anger. “Imdiately send a ssage to the howorld, report what’s happening here, and also, get all space-based weapons ready… attack imdiately…”
The deputies imdiately activated quantum communication, thanks to the previous first-level battle readiness command, the planet’s defense systems had already been initiated.
In fact, at the mont the energy generator exploded, hundreds of space-based cannons had already aid at the torn sky, and upon receiving the command, they imdiately began charging.
Dark annihilating lights coalesced in the muzzles of the guns, each strike powerful enough to bring about the destruction of a small asteroid!
Just then, a square-shaped geotric alien suddenly burst into the Office of Stellar Protection and Security, speaking with utter urgency. “Lord Nide, we’ve just received a transmission, from an unknown direction! They say they need to pass through here to get to the three star systems now belonging to the Magic Empire!”
Lend a passage?!
Commissioner Nide was clearly taken aback, and upon hearing ‘Magic Empire’, instantly thought of sothing.
On the other side, the deputy officers responsible for conveying ssages spoke up hastily. “Lord Nide, the howorld has responded, the Supre Leader orders us not to launch an attack first!”
As they talked, a massive rhombus-shaped warship erged slowly from the surging space-ti vortex above the torn skies, and the space-based weapons poised in the planetary orbit were already prid to strike.
Commissioner Nide imdiately grabbed the communicator and issued instructions at top speed. “Cease the attack, everyone stand down… Without my order, no one is allowed to attack!”
…
“Is this the world under the control of a stellar civilization?”
Inside the warship that had just jumped through the Space-Ti Gate, the Wizard Ignar looked at the magnificent city projection displayed on the screen and spoke with a sense of wonder.
At this mont, they seed to be voyaging through a vast jungle of steel, or rather, an ocean of numbers would be a more fitting description.
All sorts of bizarre symbols and strange geotric shapes were presented before them as forms of architecture, stacked layer upon layer, reaching high into the clouds, with the most conspicuous being a huge tallic ringed structure that floated in the void, unsupported beneath it, consuming an energy not at all small just to maintain this state.
It was clear that this civilization was obsessed with geotry to the point of madness.
However, the rest of the crew clearly had no mood to admire the peculiarities and grandeur of alien civilizations, as thousands of defensive ships had already surrounded them, and from above, hundreds of space-based cannons pointed at them, with a destructive energy so terrifying that even from tens of thousands of kiloters away, it still made Ignar and the others bristle with apprehension.
Lynn, however, was not tense, because the most dangerous mont had been when they’d just exited the wormhole, when the others might have attacked due to unclear information, or an overreaction.
That’s why he’d taken the initiative to send a notification to the other side in advance, to prevent such a situation; now that they’d passed this difficult mont, the others had even less reason to attack!
Indeed, as Lynn had anticipated, despite being heavily surrounded, not a single defensive ship dared to launch an attack first.
Lynn’s flagship was as if a lion had stepped into hyena territory on the savannah, and the protective ships surrounding them, the hyenas fearing the lion’s prowess, only dared to put up a posture of attack, watching from a distance.
This feeling of humiliation made every geotric alien who looked upon the rhombus-shaped warship feel both frightened and angry. It should be noted that in the last thousand years, the geotric civilization had only activated a first-level alert three tis, all related to a silicon-based civilization from another galaxy.
And even in the most perilous encounter, the enemy had not managed to break through their defenses entirely. A coalition of several carbon-based civilizations managed, after a tough resistance, to repel those silicon-based creatures, keeping the enemy outside the star system.
Yet today, a warship from another civilization had brazenly appeared before them, in the belly of their star system, and they were unable to retaliate due to orders, forced to simply watch the adversary strut proudly through the cluster of cities…
