Silence.

Whether it was Blackstone Plaza or the people of Old Shipyard Port watching the live broadcast, everything went completely quiet.

Everyone stood there stunned, shock flashing in their eyes.

Monts ago, they only heard the host Nancy talk about how powerful Supre Academy was.

They had no real sense of it.

But when Caesar struck once and sent Zayne coughing up blood, they finally understood how terrifying Supre Academy truly was.

Caesar was about to advance to his second year.

That ant he had only studied at Supre Academy for one year.

And Zayne?

Champion of this year’s Old Shipyard Port college entrance trial.

The strongest in all of Old Shipyard Port.

A Forbidden Spellcaster.

Even so, Zayne was overwheld in a single blow.

Terrifying.

No wonder Astrachior personally stepped in, determined to send Zayne to Supre Academy.

In many academies, even third or fourth year students were not as strong as Caesar.

A good academy could truly determine a transferrer’s future.

"Caesar, if you dare to injure soone without permission again, I will make you write a self criticism when we get back."

Charlotte spoke sternly, though it sounded half hearted.

"Got it, Instructor Charlotte."

"I did not an to hurt him."

"I just wanted to say hello."

"Who knew he was that weak?"

Caesar laughed, clearly not taking Zayne seriously.

Zayne climbed to his feet and wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth.

He looked calmly at Caesar.

If he went all out without restraint, it was hard to say who would win.

But as things stood, he was indeed not Caesar’s opponent.

Seeing Zayne still dare to look at him, Caesar’s eyes turned colder.

The corner of his mouth lifted slightly.

"What, you are not convinced?"

"If you are unhappy, you are welco to challenge anyti."

"I will."

"I will rember today," Zayne said calmly.

"Hahahaha."

"You are just trash."

"I gave you a few polite words and you took them seriously?"

"You will never have a chance to beat in this life."

Caesar laughed with open disdain.

"Your confidence cos from that Astrachior, right?"

"You are a frog in a well."

"In Old Shipyard Port, people respect him and call him Astrachior."

"Look across all of Aurelion."

"He is nothing."

Charlotte’s refusal ant Zayne would never enter Supre Academy.

No matter which other academy he chose, he would never catch up to Caesar.

As a student of Supre Academy, Caesar knew exactly how vast the gap was between Supre Academy and ordinary schools.

Resources and instructors were on completely different levels.

"If you are that confident, how about a bet?" Zayne asked calmly.

Caesar insulting him did not matter.

But insulting Astrachior crossed Zayne’s line.

"Oh?"

"What kind of bet?" Caesar grew interested.

"One year from now, I will go to Supre Academy and challenge you," Zayne said.

"We will see whether students of Supre Academy are truly unbeatable."

"You really dare to challenge ?"

Caesar laughed until tears ca out, looking at Zayne like a clown.

"Yes."

"We decide victory."

"And we decide life and death," Zayne said seriously.

Those words stunned not only Caesar but everyone else as well.

This was a death duel.

When a Forbidden Spellcaster fought with their life on the line, how terrifying it could be was common knowledge.

"Zayne, do not be reckless," Astrachior quickly grabbed him.

Caesar was arrogant, but he had the strength to back it up.

His level was already close to forty five.

In one year, breaking fifty and approaching sixty was not impossible.

"Do not worry, teacher."

"I am not acting on impulse," Zayne said, giving Astrachior a reassuring look.

Astrachior frowned slightly.

He was not worried about Zayne losing.

He was worried Zayne might expose his immortality.

"Decide victory and life and death?"

Caesar grinned, his expression turning serious.

"Fine."

"I, Caesar, accept this bet."

This scene was captured clearly by the live broadcast.

The people of Old Shipyard Port were completely shaken.

No one expected Zayne to have such courage.

He dared to make a life and death pact with Caesar.

Caesar could defeat him in one blow right now.

In a year, Caesar would only be stronger.

Where did Zayne’s confidence co from?

"Since Instructor Charlotte insists on rejecting Zayne, I will not trouble you further."

"Farewell."

Astrachior said no more.

He called Nia and Zayne and prepared to leave.

"Astrachior."

"Do you have nothing else to say to ?"

Charlotte asked through clenched teeth.

"No," Astrachior replied.

He did not even turn his head.

Charlotte’s face instantly turned pale.

Zayne followed silently behind Astrachior.

Inside, his curiosity scratched like a cat.

The relationship between Astrachior and Charlotte was definitely not simple.

What exactly was going on between them?

Nia was unusually quiet as well.

She followed Astrachior without provoking Zayne.

She wanted to know too.

Girls were always more curious about gossip.

When they returned to Old Shipyard Port, Zayne was just about to ask when a wave of cheers erupted.

He looked up.

Norton was leading teachers and students from Old Shipyard Port High straight toward him.

Their faces were full of excitent.

"Our champion is back."

"I knew this kid had it in him."

"Taking a loan to awaken."

"Who else would dare do that?"

"Our Old Shipyard Port High finally produced a champion."

Zayne was surrounded and lifted up.

The excited crowd threw him into the air again and again.

"Champion."

"Champion."

"Champion."

In that atmosphere, Zayne felt extrely uncomfortable.

He enjoyed it, yet felt awkward.

It was like a sewer rat dragged into the sunlight.

For seventeen years, he lived in the slums.

He barely even had people to talk to.

This was his first ti experiencing such attention.

It felt completely unfamiliar.

After finally escaping the cheering crowd, Zayne returned to Astrachior’s small courtyard.

Seeing it was him, Nia frowned and snorted coldly, then looked away.

Zayne ignored her and sat down in front of Astrachior.

He knew that since Supre Academy was no longer an option, Astrachior must have sothing else to tell him.

But before Astrachior could speak, Zayne asked first.

"Teacher, I know you have sothing to say."

"But let ask one thing first."

"What is your relationship with that Charlotte?"

This question had been bothering Zayne the whole way back.

If the person in charge of Supre Academy here was not Charlotte, he might have had a chance.

But fate was cruel.

"I knew you would ask," Astrachior said with a bitter smile.

Nia quietly perked up her ears as well.

"Well, there is nothing that cannot be said."

"Charlotte is my first love."
