Chapter 177: Bigeye Tuna
“Great, that’s great. Don’t worry, I will definitely satisfy you!” Duan Ke stood up excitedly.
Chu Xian laughed and nodded. “We can talk about the details in Hai Qing City!”
“Yes, yes.” Duan Ke nodded.
After talking so more with Gu Li and Duan Ke, Chu Xian said goodbye to Ma Zhigang and returned to the rmaid.
As the cruise ship sailed away, Chu Xian stood on the deck of his ship and pointed forward. “Onwards!”
He had already been out to sea for two and a half days but had only gathered a single new rman. This wasn’t particularly efficient, so as they sailed forward, Chu Xian used his sonar detection and carefully examined his surroundings.
They were already at the high seas, and the fish were far more abundant here than closer to the coastline. The water was a hundred ters deep and rich with resources.
Dozens of varieties of fish appeared in his mind, and half an hour later, he detected an exciting school of large fish.
“Two thousand ters, forward port,” Chu Xian imdiately stood up and called out to Old Mu.
“Yes, Boss!” Old Mu nodded, imdiately changed the route and moved in the leftward direction.
“Another thousand ters, straight.” Chu Xian checked the path of the school of fish and called out again.
“Yes!” Old Mu imdiately nodded.
Very quickly, the fishing ship maneuvered to the position Chu Xian indicated, and he could look down into the water and see more than thirty large fish. He was very happy.
“These look like bigeye tunas!”
The bigeye tuna was a sleek ford, streamlined fish with split tails. The big fat big-eyed tunas were very large, stout, and the anterior part of their bodies was cylinder-shaped. The tails were short, and on each side rose a rather large crest, with two smaller protuberances below the tail. Their heads were large and round, with a short nose.
Because they had big eyes, they were called bigeye tunas.
Bigeye tunas were only slightly less expensive compared to bluefin tunas and southern bluefin tunas, and the current market price was already 300 RMB per catty. This was quite an expensive fish.
Tunas were quite rare in China and were more widespread in Japan. These tunas were also very popular in the Japanese market, where they were often sold to make sashimi.
“Wait for here.” As the fishing ship approached the bigeye tunas within a hundred-ter radius, Chu Xian called out to his rn before jumping into the sea.
The bigeye tunas could swim at a hundred kiloters an hour, twice Chu Xian’s max speed, and the tunas also were constantly moving; even though they didn’t always swim at their limit, they could still hit a good thirty or forty kiloters.
Chu Xian didn’t turn into a fish. In his fish state, he too easily caused nearby fish to be cautious.
With all his strength, Chu Xian checked the school’s route and swam over.
This was how Chu Xian planned to catch them. At this ti, he still swam slower than most fish he was interested in, but he had the benefit of his area vision and could predict the route a school of fish would take and cut them off.
After Chu Xian swam about fifty or so ters, the thirty-plus bigeye tunas swam over, approaching him on the right.
“Heehee! This thod was very reliable after all.” Chu Xian laughed. The bigeye tunas were quickly approaching, and Chu Xian imdiately turned into a fierce sea monster.
“Rule!” The thirty bigeye tunas imdiately ca under his control.
“Don’t even think of escaping.” Chu Xian smirked and quickly swam the rest of the distance.
“Eh? Not good. I can’t control two of the tunas!” Chu Xian was shocked. There were two 2.5 ter long bigeye tunas he couldn’t rule.
“Whoosh!” One of the bigeye tunas darted away and escaped.
Chu Xian was stunned and imdiately controlled the other tunas to box in the remaining rogue.
Bigeye Tuna: Energy 2300
Gift: None
“No wonder I can’t control this over two-ter-long bigeye tuna! Their energy level is higher than mine,” Chu Xian thought to himself.
After the system transford into energy-based evaluations, it beca more difficult to guess the relative level of a fish. The size of the fish no longer indicated its energy level, and these two-ter tuna had more energy than a five-ter oarfish. Chu Xian guessed that the nutritional value of a certain fish probably affected their energy level quite a bit.
The more nutritious a fish was, the higher its energy would be. Obviously, the world-famous expensive tuna had a high energy level.
“I actually let one escape!” Chu Xian was sowhat frustrated. He has just lost more than ten thousand RMB.
But as he turned back to examine the rest of the bigeye tunas, Chu Xian very quickly recovered his good mood. The thirty-plus tunas were at least three thousand catties which made out to six or seven hundred thousand RMB.
“The ocean is a place where you can get rich overnight!” Chu Xian laughed, binding the tuna he couldn’t control and swimming back to the rmaid.
He led the school of bigeye tuna back to the ship. Chu Xian swam up alongside the rmaid and tossed the big guy he was binding up onto the ship.
“Their energy level is too high; I can’t remold them!” Chu Xian frowned.
Chu Xian turned to the other tunas swimming alongside the ship. They were all around two ters long, each two hundred catties or so. He would have no problems remolding them.
“Two hundred catties to remold, and after molding, they’ll weigh about 160 catties. That’s not bad, but compared to the swordfish and sailfish, there’s still a huge difference. I’ll wait two days before deciding!” After capturing thirty fish he could remold, Chu Xian suddenly hesitated.
At the mont, he could only control six more remolded fish, and he thought he should use these remaining slots to remold more aggressive species.
Of course, if in the following days he didn’t find any other fish, he would remold the tunas.
“I’ll just have them swim and follow the ship for the ti being!” Ruling the tuna, Chu Xian had them follow the fishing ship and swim in an eighty-ter diater area around it.
“Onward!” Sword One and the others killed the largest bigeye tuna and put it into the storage cabin. Chu Xian called out his command to Old Mu.
“Boss, we’re approaching the Japanese sea. Should we keep going forward?” Old Mu called out in response.
“If we’re almost at the Japanese sea, then the Korean sea shouldn’t be too far from here,” Chu Xian thought to himself.
Entering a foreign nation’s sea domain without preparations was no small matter, and if you were discovered by their navy...
“Let’s turn aport. The fish resources are quite abundant along the boundary between the seas. Let’s turn aport!” Chu Xian replied.
“Okay boss. If we keep going left, we’ll reach international seas in two or three hours,” Old Mu called back in reply.
“En, let’s go!” Chu Xian nodded.
Fishing was allowed in public seas, and fishern from any country could fish in international waters.
There were many fishing ships that ca to fish in the open waters near China, and companies and fishern from China, Japan, and Korea gathered there.
In order to fish in the public seas, you needed a large fishing ship at the very least. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be able to compete with the other ships.
But in these shared waters, Chu Xian wasn’t too worried.
