Indigo League Headquarters

President Goodshow sat in his office, his face a mask of exhaustion and fury as one disaster after another piled onto his desk.

"Report! Team Rocket has suddenly appeared at the League perimeter. They've summoned a massive Pokémon army! Elite Lady Alice is currently leading the defense!"

"Report! Celadon, Cerulean, and Pewter Cities are under heavy assault by Rocket cells. The Great Families are flooding us with distress calls!"

"Report! Prisoners have breached the perimeter of Indigo Prison! Elite Blaze has arrived on-site but is struggling to contain the breakout!"

As the stream of bad news continued, Goodshow's eyebrows twisted into a tight knot. "Where are the Elite Four?! In the League's hour of peril, they dare to hide?"

"Contact the director of the Kanto Broadcasting work immediately! I want it announced to every corner of the region that the Elite Four have fled like cowards. I will drag their reputations through the mud!" Goodshow snarled.

"Mr. President... look at the Kanto TV live broadcast," an investigator stammered, wiping sweat from his brow.

"Give it to me!" Goodshow snatched the tablet. On the screen was Lance, broadcast live from a field of battle.

"Citizens of Kanto, Team Rocket is currently launching a widespread offensive against our major cities," Lance spoke with calm authority. "But please, do not panic. We, the Elite Four, have deployed our specialized legions to the key population centers. If you encounter a Pokémon wearing a Yellow Ribbon, know that it is under our command and is there to protect you. We are personally overseeing the defense of the four corners of Kanto to prevent further terror attacks."

"The League Headquarters has currently formed a defensive line to handle the main Rocket force. Rest assured, the people remain our first priority."

Goodshow nearly choked on his own rage. He hurled the tablet to the ground, shattering it into pieces.

"That little brat! How dare he!" Goodshow screamed, seeing right through the maneuver. Lance wasn't just "protecting" the people; he was using the Rocket offensive as a cover to target the strongholds of the Great Families while posing as a hero.

"The Elite Four get the glory, while my forces are bled dry! He's playing both sides and leaving me to swallow the bitterness! Since when did Lance become so cunning? There's a mastermind behind this!" Goodshow trembled with sheer hate.

"Team Rocket... if I survive this, I will personally see every one of you eradicated." Goodshow pulled three specialized Poké Balls from his belt. He was a Champion in his own right, and he intended to deal with Giovanni himself.

Team Rocket Front Lines

"Haha! The Elite Four are truly talented," Giovanni laughed, watching the broadcast. "This works perfectly. It pushes the chaos to its peak. Once we occupy the Plateau, those arrogant families won't have a League to hide behind anymore."

"Feng Che has done more than I asked, but we must keep an eye on Lance. He's looking to reap the benefits of the victor without the cost. Clever."

Giovanni wasn't afraid. With his own strength, the fused Legendary Birds, and his top executives—Sabrina, Surge, Koga, and Augustus—he felt invincible. "Tonight, the League falls."

Indigo Prison: The Depths

"Corviknight, use Hurricane!" Feng Che commanded.

The cyan-colored bird beat its steel-plated wings, manifesting a Level-14 gale that sucked Elite Hagen's Lucario into a violent vortex.

"Impossible! How can a Corviknight generate that much power?" Hagen shouted, clinging to a rock to keep from being swept away. Warden Dorus, faring worse, was flat on his belly, hugging a boulder for dear life.

"Lucario, use Bone Rush!" Hagen roared. The canine Pokémon manifested a glowing white bone staff and drove it deep into the ground, anchoring itself against the storm.

"Corviknight, Air Cutter!"

While maintaining the hurricane, Corviknight unleashed meter-wide blades of pressurized air that saturated the sky. With a sharp flap, the blades rained down like a steel execution. Lucario, trapped in the wind, had no way to dodge.

"Steelix, Iron Defense! Tank the cutters!"

The giant snake, coated in a layer of Drained-Iron, coiled around Lucario. Sparks flew as the air blades struck the metal hide with a deafening clink-clink-clink. Steelix let out a roar of genuine pain.

"What?! It's just an Air Cutter! Why is Steelix taking so much damage?" Hagen's arrogance vanished. He felt like he was facing a team of fully realized Elites, not a "rookie" trainer.

He released an Escavalier to join the fray, putting immense pressure on Corviknight.

Seeing his teammate ganged up on, Incineroar grew incensed. Having inherited Groudon's legacy, its temper was shorter than ever. It let out a sky-shaking roar as the ground beneath it turned to molten slag. Red veins pulsed across its body as it siphoned heat from the magma, its form partially liquefying into living fire.

Incineroar unleashed a sea of white-hot flame from its belt, surging toward Hagen and his Pokémon.

"Steelix! Protect the others!" Hagen commanded. The snake coiled into a massive shield. Hagen expected the Drained-Iron to absorb the energy, but the white flames didn't just burn—they melted. A searing heat pierced through the gaps in Steelix's coils.

Hagen looked down at his silver hair; it had turned scorched black in a second. He gripped his head, teeth chattering in rage and fear. "How is that cat so strong?!"

Meanwhile, Greninja faced down Hagen's Aggron.

The Aggron slammed the ground, causing massive pillars of jagged metal and rock to sprout toward the frog like deadly shoots—Rock Tomb. Greninja didn't flinch. It manifested two massive Water Shurikens and hurled them with rotating force.

The shurikens sliced through the "steel walls" with smooth, clinical precision before clashing against Aggron's silver armor. Sparks erupted, but the armor held.

Aggron smirked, confident in the defense it had honed by absorbing the Heart of Steel. But its smirk faded when it saw Greninja smiling.

Greninja's hands turned an icy blue. It slammed its palms onto the wet floor. Instantly, every droplet of water scattered around Aggron flash-froze. The elite defender was encased in a massive block of reinforced ice, unable to move a muscle.

On the other side, Incineroar's heat had turned Steelix's body cherry-red. The giant snake thrashed in agony, kicking up clouds of soot. Lucario was forced to grab Hagen and leap clear of the inferno.

"I... an Elite of the League... defeated by a child who isn't even ranked?" Hagen whispered, his voice trembling with a mix of shock and defeat.
