"Stay still, damn you!" the assassin snarled, frustrated by August's agility.

It looked like August had invested a lot in speed but what the Assasin didn't know was the fact that August's stats never stopped increasing when he was stuck in the unhidden mist village.

Being one of the first batch of players in Enders Light, his level would originally be the sa with top players if he didn't get stuck.

This was why his sub-stats were so high because they never stopped increasing.

"I don't do still," August quipped while delivering a spinning kick to create distance.

The Assasin who knew August was clearly a few levels lower than him couldn't understand.

August's eyes flicked to the system alert flashing in his HUD.

[ System Notification: You have been logged into Enders Light for an extended period. Please log out for health reasons.]

He clenched his jaw.

Logging out now was impossible. His party needed him. Dismissing the alert, he refocused on the fight.

Hakar swung his colossal sword toward Gareth causing the air to vibrate with energy as he activated Doom Slash. Gareth braced himself, eting the attack with his own skill, Titan's Guard which absorbed most of the blow but still sent him skidding backward.

[ System Notification: Gareth's HP reduced to 2,200/7,050.]

"Viora, a little help here!" Gareth called while gripping his sword tightly as he readied for the next strike.

"I'm on it!" Viora replied before casting Greater Heal. A golden light enveloped Gareth, restoring a significant portion of his HP.

Her mana bar dipped dangerously low, and she muttered under her breath, "We can't keep this up forever."

Aria unleashed another spell, teor Shower. Her hands glowed with fiery energy as flaming projectiles rained down on the Venomfang Mage and Ranger. The explosions staggered them and their HP bars plumted.

[System Notification: teor Shower deals 2,300 damage to Venomfang Mage. 1,800 damage to Venomfang Ranger.]

Drask roared as he smashed his axe into the warrior's shield repeatedly, cracking it with sheer brute force. "Your shield's not gonna save you, buddy!"

[ Shield Integrity Compromised ]

The warrior couldn't believe his eyes.

anwhile, August was still engaged with the assassin. They kept streaking across the place like blurs.

It was difficult for others to catch wind of them unless they paused briefly to exchange more strikes without moving.

The assassin managed to land a glancing blow on August's arm at this mont.

[System Notification: Venomfang Assassin deals 750 damage to Aleman. Current HP: 8,250/12,800.]

"Is that all you've got?" August taunted while feinting left before delivering a precise strike to the assassin's neck.

Suddenly, a Venomfang Ranger targeted August with an explosive arrow. Aria shouted a warning just in ti. "Watch out!"

August activated Arcane Shield at the last mont, creating a magical barrier that absorbed the impact.

[ System Notification: Arcane Shield absorbs 900 damage. Integrity at 60%.]

"You can use magic?!" Gareth shouted, montarily distracted by the revelation. Even Torin and Drask paused mid-attack to glance at August.

"Surprise," August muttered while holding his staff aloft.

It had been strapped to his back all this ti but the others had no idea what it was ant for until now.

With a surge of mana, he unleashed Lightning Bolt causing the spell to streak across the battlefield and strike the Venomfang Mage.

[ System Notification: Lightning Bolt deals 1,950 damage to Venomfang Mage. ]

[ Additional Effect: Gravitational Field applied. Movent Speed reduced by 90%.]

The mage cried out as she crumpled to the ground, unable to move. The battlefield stilled for a mont as everyone processed what had just happened.

"He's a dual-class?" the Venomfang Ranger shouted in disbelief.

"No wonder he's been carrying that strange thing around," Drask muttered as a grin ford on his face. "This guy's full of surprises."

This tipped the battle in their favor. Gareth rallied with a devastating cleave, finishing off the Venomfang Warrior. Drask took down the ranger with a brutal overhand swing of his axe.

Aria, now fully focused, cast blazing Inferno, engulfing the stunned mage and assassin in flas.

[System Notification: Venomfang Assassin defeated. Party gains 1,400 EXP.]

[System Notification: Venomfang Mage defeated. Party gains 1,300 EXP.]

With only Hakar remaining, the entire party turned their attention to him. He roared while swinging his sword wildly, but the combined assault overwheld him.

August dealt the finishing blow, a Hidden strike to the back of his exposed neck.

[System Notification: Hakar defeated. Party gains 2,500 EXP.]

The Venomfang party shimred and vanished, teleported out of the dungeon with significant losses.

[System Notification: Opposing players lose 1 level and drop loot.]

August and his party stood in the aftermath, battered but victorious. They gathered the loot—a mixture of weapons, potions, and gold—equally dividing it among themselves.

The Venomfang mbers had been well-stocked, and their defeat had been worth the effort.

"That was intense," Torin said while leaning against a wall. "I didn't think we'd make it."

Viora gave August a knowing look. "You've been holding out on us, haven't you?"

August smirked. "Had to keep things interesting."

Drask chuckled, clapping August on the back. "You're a sneaky bastard, but I like it."

As they prepared to move deeper into the dungeon, August glanced at his system notifications.

[You have been logged into Enders Light for an extended period. Please log out.]

They continued heading forward.

August, however, was noticeably quieter than usual. His face showed signs of exertion, and he wiped at the beads of sweat that had ford on his brow.

Aria noticed it first. "August, you don't look so good. Are you okay?" she questioned with a tone of concern.

Torin, who was fiddling with an arrow, glanced over. "Yeah, you're looking a bit pale, man. What's going on?"

August let out a long sigh while straightening up. "It's the pod," he admitted. "I've been logged in for way too long, and I'm pushing the limits of what my body can handle. My pod can't keep in ga longer than this without risking my health."
