The Demon Invasion wasn’t just happening in the Ominous Country but throughout the continent, only the islands were safe for now.

Xong Zixin was holding a baby of three to four years of age and trying to convince himself to eat it. Dong Shilin had chosen him as his right hand demon and it was an offer he couldn’t refuse, literally! And Dong Shilin had just given him this baby as a gift to him, said sothing about it being specially chosen for him.
Zixin just closed his eyes, opened his mouth and threw the tiny baby inside then started to chew.
Crunch! Crunch! Crunch! Crunch!
Zixin suddenly opened his eyes wide with shock as he chewed on the baby. Not only was the baby delicious but there was sothing else about the taste that made him crave for more.
"How is it?" asked Shilin with a knowing smile.
"Delicious... Absolutely delicious!" exclaid Zixin with an excited gleam.
"My Lord, I request permission to go hunting for more food. Please grant this request." said Zixin respectfully. Now, Dong Shilin was his master and as a subordinate, he couldn’t do whatever he wanted anymore, he had to ask for permission.
"Go." said Shilin.
Swoosh!
As soon as he heard the word go, Zixin turned into a blur and disappeared, leaving behind an after image that was slowly fading away.
"If it wasn’t for my status, I’d also be running around looking for ’food’ like the rest of you. Fortunately, my days of slaving like a dog are finally over, hehe." said Shilin and looked in the distance.

Zixin had co to the Long River Empire with Shilin so there was plenty of ’food’ here that he could eat. With halved strength, the humans could only watch as they were raped, tortured and eaten by the demons, a race that was extrely cruel. Along the way, Zixin had grabbed a few adult cultivators in the Foundation Building Realm but they were not as delicious nor as satisfying as children’s at.
’Not the sa! The taste is not the sa! There, maybe there’s lots of delicious food over there!’ thought Zixin as he looked at the empire in the horizon.

He stretched his wings then flew away, every flap of his wings created strong gusts of winds that pushed everyone away as well as destroyed the infrastructure. As Zixin flew towards the palace, he caught the scent of babies and was elated. If he’d used his vampire abilities then he’d have knows long ago that won and children were under the empire’s protection inside the palace but because he wasn’t thinking straight, he relied on his senses.
As Zixin approached the palace, an energy barrier suddenly appeared and protected the palace but Zixin just collided with it, creating cracks all over the barrier.
BOOOOOOM!!!
"ENEMY ATTACK!" shouted the people on the other side of the barrier and providing Qi to reinforce the barrier.
[Don’t block my path! I only ca here for the children!] said Zixin in an angry and annoyed voice but the cultivators ignored him. He ca here to eat children, more reason to keep the barrier up and not allow this monster to enter.

When Zixin collided with the barrier, it sent ripples to spread across the barrier but it still wasn’t enough to break the barrier.

Zixin collided with the barrier again and again nonstop, making the guys keeping it up to pout more Spirit Qi into it and exhaust them very quickly. Good news was that the Long River Empire had recruited many experts in the Core Condensing Realm and above, including the families of these experts so the barrier could be kept up for a long ti and these experts numbered in the tens of thousands.
Colliding with the barrier so many tis yet it didn’t collapse made Zixin so angry and more irrational that he grabbed the barrier and clawed at it with his sharp claws. If Zixin was thinking straight, he would also rember that he also had the Sealing Body that unlike before when it was passive, it was now active and needed to be activated. With the Sealing Body, he could destroy the barrier with just a touch.

The ground cracked and a huge dust cloud rose up, Zixin flapped his wings once and dispersed the dust cloud but not for the reasons one might think of. He dispersed the dust cloud to see who was bold enough to block his punch and not be sent flying. Mind you, Zixin received strength boosts for being a Draconic Vampire and also doubled strength for being a demon.
A black and red broad sword blocked his punch without even cracking or the person using it being sent flying back from the collision. The person wielding the sword was a young man who was in his late twenties. He had sky blue hair and yellow eyes that were filled with courage, righteousness and hostility for Zixin.
"The Imperial House is not a place to do as you wish demon! For your transgression against the Empire, I shall take your head to appease the Long Emperor!"
[Ah, so it’s you and the Long River Empire who are bullying by blocking my path. You don’t want to eat. You don’t want to satiate my hunger! I’ll kill you! I’ll kill you and the Long River Emperor!] said Zixin in a completely crazed and murderous voice.
