"I don't have ti," Hao Xingxing coldly refused.

Honestly, facing her half-sister Hao Yueliang, with whom she shared the sa father but different mothers, Xingxing always harbored particularly heavy and complex feelings. Her mother's early death made her more intelligent yet more lost than other children her age. She didn't understand why, when her mother was no longer there, an aunt appeared, and why her father forced her to call that aunt "mother."

As she grew up, the birth of Hao Yueliang seed like a warning alarm to everything at ho. She ca to understand many things she had not when she was younger, and she did not like her sister Yueliang at all. However, Yueliang was incredibly clingy, always sticking to her even though Xingxing would speak coldly or even harshly to her. Despite being hurt and fleeing one or two tis, the little girl would return the next day, delighted to be near Xingxing again, speaking in a tender and foolish manner while calling her "sister."

Sotis Xingxing couldn't help but wonder if the girl owed her sothing in a past life, for she always seed determined to stick to Xingxing's side, shalessly persisting even when it was clear that their mother was baffled by Yueliang's clinginess and would often remind Yueliang to keep her distance. Yet Yueliang never listened, only content after Xingxing reluctantly bestowed a few disdainful glances her way.

"Sister, my dear sister, the most beautiful sister in the whole world, please co and pick up! Otherwise, I might get lost; you know I'm terrible with directions. I could be kidnapped by human traffickers and end up disabled..." Hao Yueliang continued to assault the resolute rejection of Hao Xingxing with her alarming words.

"If you're afraid of getting lost, then just stay in that safe haven! Why co to Imperial City to bother ?" Hao Xingxing replied, irritable.

"But I'm already here! And it's not like I can just get off the train now. If I got off, I'd be lost for sure. Sister, sister... I even brought you a big surprise. Just co pick up! It's a surprise you'll never expect, okay, okay?" Hao Yueliang begged shalessly.

"I understand," Hao Xingxing took a deep breath with irritation and then hung up the phone.

"Yay!" Even though Hao Xingxing ruthlessly hung up on her, Hao Yueliang knew that her sister would co back for her and imdiately beca gleefully excited. She punched the air triumphantly with both hands, then straightened her clothes and returned to her seat.

"In a little while, my sister will co to pick up. Big brother, could you take outside then?" Hao Yueliang couldn't hide her feelings, so as soon as she sat down, she asked Song Chengguang to escort her later, the purpose of which was quite clear.

But Song Chengguang, accustod to being cunning, found he didn't dislike such a simple girl who wore her thoughts on her face. So he nodded like a gentleman. To be honest, he was also curious whether the Sister Xingxing the girl ntioned was really that little girl who used to follow behind him.

After all, the world is so vast, and the population so nurous; just eting and getting to know each other is difficult enough, let alone reuniting after a separation. That would truly be fate.

...

After receiving a phone call from Hao Yueliang, Hao Xingxing could only hurriedly throw her work aside and drive to the train station.

"Sister..." The mont Hao Yueliang stepped out of the train station and saw the strong, beautiful woman wearing gold-rimd glasses and a professional suit, she beca wildly excited. She sprinted towards her, tossing her luggage to Song Chengguang, who followed behind.

Song Chengguang squinted his eyes, following the direction of Hao Yueliang's dash, and found himself attracted to the commanding presence of the woman with her arms crossed.

"Shut up, be quiet, you're killing ," Hao Xingxing blurted out. Her cold and unaffectionate deanor sohow didn't make her seem truly unapproachable.

Hao Yueliang imdiately quieted down and then smiled at her with the solicitous eagerness of a little dog that had been intimidated into submission, "Sis, you're so nice. I thought you wouldn't co to pick up. You don't know how much I've missed you." She murmured with a tone full of childish dependency.

"You're very noisy, I didn't miss you at all," Hao Xingxing replied irritably.

"As long as I missed you it's all good!" Hao Yueliang wasn't bothered by Hao Xingxing's cold response, cheerfully hooking her arm through Hao Xingxing's and then turning her head as if she had only just noticed Song Chengguang, who was helping with the luggage, and started speaking with a grin, "Sis, look, that guy over there is the surprise I told you about." Her voice was deliberately lowered, indistinctive amid the bustling exit, but Hao Xingxing still followed Hao Yueliang's gaze, slightly lifting her eyelids.

"…" Hao Xingxing was instantly petrified in astonishnt.

"…" Song Chengguang, who was approaching with the luggage, fell silent.

Honestly, this feeling of recognizing each other at first sight after twenty or thirty years as kindergarten classmates was fucking magical, wasn't it?

"Song Chengguang?" It took a while for Hao Xingxing to speak uncertainly, expressing both an inquiry and a doubt, but her fluctuating eyes betrayed her composed facade.

"Hao Xingxing!" Song Chengguang, however, used a certain tone before his coldly handso features softened with a hint of a smile, "Long ti no see." This greeting ca from a mature man, both gentlemanly and handso.

"Yes, yes indeed!" The previously forceful Hao Xingxing suddenly beca oddly constrained and uneasy, her reply even slightly stamring, clearly she had never anticipated such an unexpected encounter.

"Sis, I'm impressive, right? I recognized Brother Song Chengguang the mont I saw him on the train." Hao Yueliang observed the amazing atmosphere bubbling up between them and then enthusiastically shook Hao Xingxing's arm, boasting about her perceptiveness.

Hao Xingxing glanced at Hao Yueliang with complex emotions, then looked at Song Chengguang, and after a long pause, she managed to control her strange turmoil, "I didn't expect we would et again." Hao Xingxing spoke as if in a daze, with a sense of unreality even she couldn't grasp.

Honestly, she also didn't know why she rembered Song Chengguang for so long. Perhaps it was because he was the first to offer her warmth, even shalessly clinging to him. So, even though she found Hao Yueliang annoying when she clung to her, it was just annoyance, she never once pushed her away. She hadn't thought about soone she rembered for twenty or thirty years suddenly appearing before her.

Surprise, tension, panic, helplessness… a mix of complex feelings.

"I'll drive you guys back," Song Chengguang offered calmly after steadying himself.

"I ca in my own car," Hao Xingxing replied quickly, but imdiately after speaking, she regretfully bit her lip. Facing the imposing and handso Song Chengguang, Hao Xingxing felt flustered. She had truly never imagined that upon seeing Song Chengguang again, she would transform from the coldhearted witch her subordinates whispered about behind her back into a girl who didn't know what to do.
