In the original novel, the turning point where the protagonist, Chu Yun, began to suppress the Li family was when Chu Yun refused to compromise and used Li Tai’s sister to threaten him. This caused Li Tai to lose a significant portion of his power, shattering his chances for a coback.
Chu Yun was the protagonist, after all! Yet this so-called protagonist justified his actions by claiming a sense of “righteousness,” brainwashing a straight-laced university professor.
Li Ru had nothing to do with the family’s business, yet Chu Yun used her to threaten Li Tai.
Such dishonorable conduct, and he still calls himself the hero?
