The third completion ceremony ended without much trouble.

Because of the Eunhwa incident, I was cautious, and instead of stupidly eyeing other kids again, I focused on the newly acquired Eunhwa and Baekseol.

Besides, Eunhwa’s narrative is kind of weak, you know?

Baekseol was personally gifted by a grandfather who was moved after receiving a Go board set, and that guy is destined to beco humanity’s strongest knight soday. Eunhwa doesn’t have that kind of backstory.

Originally, he would've been appointed as a general sowhere in the military and done great things, but I just brought him in on a whim because he was pretty and threw him in.

And then, boom—he ended up becoming my exclusive knight.

If I had to compare it to sothing, it’s like getting soone pregnant from a one-night stand.

Anyway, because of that, I’m trying to pay a little more attention to Eunhwa.

Well, even though he already looks like he’s received a lifeti’s worth of glory just from being made my exclusive knight.

Ha...

How do I even describe this.

A colorful fuckfest?

That’s how the poet inside puts it.

Truly a multidinsional sensation.

— “What’s with the sudden poet talk?”

— “The previous ssage was cussing soone out like crazy,

but to turn around and have such a peaceful business convo now—

don’t you think it doesn’t quite match the vibe?

It just doesn’t harmonize, you know?”

— “Then what,

should I throw in so more swearing for you?”

— “You’re fucking shaless.”

🖕

When I said I’d custom-order exclusive weapons and a unit for Eunhwa, Go Minji scoffed her ass off.

But even though she talked shit like that, when I actually tried to pay for it, she refused and didn’t take a cent.

Just the exclusive weapons alone cost hundreds of billions, and the exclusive unit would cost several trillion. For knights like Baekseol, who are out of standard, it can even reach the tens of trillions. And she said she’d just cover all of that herself.

Sa reason as before.

She said it hurts her pride to take snot-nosed kid money.

Of course, there’s no way that’s her real reason... She’s got a weird tsundere streak.

A psycho tsundere who only acts like that with . That’s rare as hell.

And on top of that, she’s a perfect match in bed...

Just thinking about going to Incheon and pounding her hard gets excited already.

— “1 month, 6 months. You know that, right?”

— “Takes about 1 month for the weapons, and 6 months for the unit.”

— “Also, you know the unit for that Snow White girl or whatever?”

— “It’s being delivered in April.”

— “I heard from Min-young already.”

— “Fucking hell, ‘Min-young’ 씨 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

No matter how many tis I hear it, I can’t get used to that shit.”

— “Ah.”

— “What, does it make you shiver

to realize that you’re a dad now?”

🖕

— “No matter how much my sister rejects it,

the fact that I’m gonna be a dad soday

ain’t gonna change~”

— “Cut that bullshit.”

— “It’s not bullshit.

It’s reality, and that’s what’s funny.

Daughter,

your daddy’s hungry.

Bring so food.”

— “ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

You’re driving insane, seriously.

Ah, fuck ㅋㅋㅋㅋ”

As expected from Go Minji, who lights up whenever there’s talk about being a dad,

the conversation stays nice and cheerful.

— “Anyway, good job.

Before you pull any more dumb shit,

hurry back. Got it?”

— “You don’t trust that much?”

— “Would you trust soone like you, jackass?

I told you so many fucking tis not to ss with it,

and you went and gobbled it all up.

And now you’re talking about trust?”

Hmm.

Yeah, even I wouldn’t trust .

— “Thanks to you,

I got to experience firsthand why they say

‘never let a cat guard the fish.’

Thanks, asshole.

From now on,

no ❀ Nоvеlігht ❀ (Don’t copy, read here) matter how busy I am,

I’m never letting you handle any knight induction ceremonies again.

Later.”

— “Heh...”

I ended the chat with Go Minji and tidied up around .

Now that everything was finished, it was ti to head back to Incheon.

It felt like it had been a long trip after a while, which was nice, but now that it was ti to leave, I felt a little regret.

I’d done my reports and handled so work here, but it still had the feel of a vacation.

Maybe I’ve just been living too frantically lately.

Maybe I should make ti to travel every now and then, dragging the little shits with .

Might not be such a bad idea.

“Even go abroad, you know?”

Co to think of it, I’ve never been overseas.

Not even once. Not in this life, or the last one.

Well, if I stretch it, I guess the Koryo Militaris HQ in Dalian on the mainland could count as abroad,

but in this world, that’s technically still Korea, so I guess it doesn’t count.

Japan might be nice. I could check out that whole ‘Third Tokyo’ thing or whatever.

Rebuilt after collapsing twice.

They call it by all sorts of nas—New Tokyo, Shin Tokyo, Third Tokyo, Third Tōkyō City, etc.

But the official na is ‘Third Tokyo.’

It’s a city that was completely rebuilt from scratch after World War III, so there’s not a trace of the Tokyo I knew from my past life.

Let’s see... Was it the Ashiba Zaibatsu that’s still in Japan?

Even though it supposedly fell, it’s still a country of over 100 million people,

so it’s got so gacorps of its own.

The biggest one’s said to be the Ashiba Group,

but honestly, if you look closely, all the gacorps in Asia are in so kind of tight relationship with Koryo Group.

I’m pretty sure Ashiba is the sa.

I don’t know the specifics, though.

Alright. Once I have ti later, I should go travel abroad a bit.

Right now I’m too swamped to even breathe,

but once the situation in Incheon stabilizes a bit, I’ll have room to breathe.

Probably...

“Movent from the NIS has been detected.”

In an office so large it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to call it empty, Go Minji received the report.

Unlike how she acted around Go Muyeol, she scanned the docunts with a cold, disinterested expression and muttered indifferently:

“Which side?”

“We believe it’s the Abyss.”

“More freaks are gonna co pouring out again, huh. What kind of movent, specifically?”

“It seems... they’re monitoring Incheon.”

Her pen, which had been smoothly scribbling across the page, stopped.

“...Don’t tell , they’re targeting the young master?”

“...At this stage, they wouldn’t go that far. But, due to the large-scale hacking of the NIS carried out by the young master not long ago, they seem to have ended up monitoring Incheon while tracing that incident.”

“Hmm.”

A massive amount of data had been uploaded to Prestige under Go Muyeol’s orders not long ago.

If that much information had been leaked, the Abyss couldn’t have just sat back and done nothing.

Of course they would’ve launched a trace.

“Co to think of it, it’s about that ti.”

She finished signing the docunt, then turned her body toward the window.

Even from a very high vantage point, not a trace of the horizon was visible—every inch of the view was packed with buildings.

“Ti for midterms.”

“...We’ve just located a suitably sized branch.”

“What’s its scale?”

“We couldn’t determine it precisely, but based on satellite scans and comparing them to the leaked data, it appears to be a group of up to 30. We’ve dispatched a scout, so we should get more accurate information soon.”

Given the nature of the Abyss, where everything is wrapped tightly in secrecy, a branch with a size of 30 was quite large.

And that “up to 30” didn’t an 30 regular people.

It referred to so-called “Daemahin,” those modified by the NIS.

“Up to 30 Daemahin...”

Go Minji pulled a cigarette from inside her coat and placed it between her lips.

With her red lips holding the cigarette, she lit it, then extended her hand, decorated with bright crimson nails, and exhaled smoke.

Fwoo.

The gray smoke billowed out, and her lipstick left a mark on the white filter.

“Go take the test. Bring back so samples, too. Preferably alive.”

“Yes.”

“I wonder what kind of insane shit they’ve pulled this ti.”

The tension with the Abyss—a special NIS division composed of Daemahin—had been going on for quite a while.

It was common knowledge that they conducted all sorts of inhumane experints under the guise of twisted patriotism, and that their ultimate goal was the downfall of Koryo Group, especially in the field of biotech.

Still, there had been few full-on confrontations.

Most of the ti, they were either left alone or deliberately avoided when a clash seed inevitable.

At best, they’d taken out a local branch or so low-tier operative.

“Let’s hope this test scores high too, shall we?”

It would probably crush the souls of the Abyss researchers, who spent their days vomiting blood over their research and experints, to hear that,

but Go Minji saw them as little more than test dummies.

Thanks to them, she could clearly identify the weaknesses of the current Daemahin and monsters being produced—what attacks they were vulnerable to, what kind of tactics inflicted the most damage, and so on.

For the sake of future domination, product quality was everything.

And without those pathetic freaks desperately trying to uncover even a single flaw and destroy a single unit, progress wouldn’t have happened nearly as fast.

Once again, she had decided to erase one of their branches in exchange for feedback.

As a bonus, she’d bait them into pulling more focus toward Incheon.

“If the young master ends up even slightly scratched, it’ll be hell to pay. You read that internal report before, right? When all the chas stord in like a black tide.”

“...Yes.”

“They’re all obsessed with their own blood. We’ve got to protect the young master properly.”

She took a long drag of her cigarette, eyes clouded with lancholy.

She seed deep in thought.

“Has it arrived yet?”

“It was scheduled for delivery this morning... ah, it just arrived.”

Go Minji gave it a glance, then casually dropped the cigarette to the floor and sat back down in her chair.

“Begin testing imdiately. Apply results as soon as they co in.”

“Yes, Chairwoman.”
