“Respected Mage, Elviss Tavern welcos your arrival.”

The two guards at the door noticed the crescent insignia of a high-level mage on Li De’s robe and imdiately bowed respectfully.

anwhile, a burly warrior reeking of alcohol, clad in armor and standing nearby, had clearly arrived before him but received no welco. Upon seeing this, he shouted angrily.

“Damn bastards! I’m a high-level professional too! I got here first!!

You lowly servants dare ignore , the Mad Bull Oda!!”

The two guards looked at him with disdain and sneered.

“If you dare raise your voice again and disturb our honored guests,

I swear I’ll toss your stupid head into the sewer!”

Faced with the icy warning and their murderous gaze, the warrior sobered up slightly, gave Li De a resentful look, and, supported by his female companion, left grumbling.

Elviss Tavern never lacked troublemakers, but there was only one outco for them—death.

Clearly, this warrior wasn’t foolish enough to challenge Elviss Tavern.

After dismissing him, the two guards turned and bowed again to Li De. “Lord Mage, please don’t mind that crude rcenary.”

Just like that, a simple scene made the status difference between warriors and mages crystal clear.

Both were high-level professionals around Level 10, but the guards treated the warrior like a stray dog while lowering themselves before a mage.

It was a deep-rooted disparity.

Mage lords weren’t to be compared with those vulgar warriors.

High-level warriors usually ca from commoners or lower-status groups—rchants, craftsn, and the like.

But mages belonged to the absolute noble class. Their positions in Glory were worlds apart.

Only after reaching Level 15 would the two begin to approach each other in social standing.

It was only after transcending the ordinary that one could be considered equal.

Li De hadn’t expected such a dramatic entrance and shook his head.

“Thank you for the welco, I’m here to et a friend.” Emi was still waiting for him.

Just then, a voice tinged with surprise ca from behind.

“Oh? What a strange aura.”

Li De paused, turned his head, and squinted slightly—his gaze flashing with unmistakable amazent.

A woman with an incredibly graceful figure appeared before him.

She wore a snug enchanted leather jacket on her upper body, tall and curvy, with an especially prominent chest.

Below, she had on a leather mini skirt and black leather boots.

Most eye-catching of all was the green, ancient longbow on her back. Her belt held two finely engraved short blades, and on the inside of her long, snow-white thighs was a sharp dagger.

Wild and seductive.

But what truly made Li De’s pupils contract were her long, pointed ears.

An Elf.

Only Elves in this world could possess such stunning looks.

This female Elf was the most flawless woman Li De had ever seen—no exceptions.

Her elegant yet wild aura could srize any man.

Even among the Vampires, a race known for beauty, Li De hadn’t seen anyone who could compare.

Absolutely breathtaking.

And her mature, dominant presence was almost overwhelming.

“There’s sothing strange about your aura,” the Elf woman said curiously, her nose twitching slightly.

“Strange…”

“You give off a vibe that makes instinctively cautious—like so sort of dark creature. But there’s also sothing… divine?”

“Truly a strange human.”

The wild Elf woman didn’t seem to care what Li De thought and spoke her mind freely.

Li De’s initial curiosity was imdiately replaced with the mindset of a seasoned veteran—high alert.

Was this a dog’s nose? How did she sniff out so much just by scent?

“I’m Ariel Elviss. Human mage, may I ask your na?” Ariel lifted her chin slightly, her tone calm, but the pride unique to Elves was unmistakable.

A race with arrogance etched into their bones.

Li De looked at Ariel carefully.

Ariel Elviss

Level: 17

???

???

No wonder—this was the owner of Elviss Tavern, and she was a Level 17 master Elf Archer.

Although surprised by her keen perception, Li De kept his expression composed, a polite smile on his lips.

"Li De Kachar, Lord of the Crimson Mage Tower. Lady Ariel, it is an honor to visit Elviss Tavern."

Ariel looked enlightened.

“So you’re that old geezer Spark’s disciple,” she said, then curled her lip—clearly not fond of Spark.

She stepped closer, closing the gap to less than half a blade’s width.

Ariel blinked at Li De, her voice teasing.

“Are you really human?”

Li De, who had been keeping his cool, suddenly felt every hair on his body stand up. If not for his strong heart, he might’ve lost his composure.

His face unchanged, he t her curious green gaze head-on.

“No, Lady Ariel. I am not human.”

Ariel’s pupils dilated, her hand instinctively reaching for the short blade at her waist.

But the next mont, she relaxed.

“I am rely a martyr in pursuit of magic. The human I once was died the day I began studying spells.”

Ariel was caught off guard by his words but quickly recovered, her clear green eyes now tinged with allure.

She suddenly leaned close, her lips brushing Li De’s ear.

“You’re an interesting human. Maybe you should visit Elviss Tavern more often—I quite like handso mages like you.”

With that, she pulled away abruptly, her wild and seductive outfit leaving a lingering tension.

Li De's expression remained unchanged, and the smile on his lips never faded—even as Ariel disappeared from sight.

But hidden from all eyes, sweat dripped silently down his back.

When Ariel approached him, he had clearly sensed her probing him with so secret technique. He had almost been exposed—only barely managing to protect himself with faith energy at the crucial mont.

Otherwise, a fight would have been inevitable.

“Princess Ariel, why are you so interested in a human?” Her maid asked curiously as she boarded her own carriage.

“No, he’s not just a normal human.”

Ariel shook her head, her eyes uncertain.

Just now, she had clearly sensed a dark creature’s aura on Li De. But at the last mont, she also felt an incredibly pure and sacred power.

It puzzled her deeply.

As nature’s favored children, Elves were exceptionally sensitive to negative energies and dark creatures.

No dark creature could hide from her.

She had relied on this elven bloodline talent to sense Li De’s difference—but after a deeper probe, she found a divine power within him—pure and clean.

A power only possessed by the Gods of Light.

And dark creatures could never believe in a God of Light.

This contradiction made her intensely curious about Li De.

She was certain, this human was anything but ordinary. Being able to evade her perception was not sothing common folk could do.

Li De, anwhile, could only sigh at the unpredictability of fate—just a few minutes of delay, and he had nearly been discovered by a Level 17 Elf.

And now, worse yet, he had caught her attention—which was the truly terrifying part.

He took a deep breath. Though surprised by his encounter with the high-level Elf Ariel, he didn’t retreat. He followed the guards into Elviss Tavern with large strides.

But his mood was no longer as light as before.

For so reason, he had a feeling…

Things weren’t going to stay peaceful for much longer.

His plan to lie low and develop quietly was already being disrupted.
