Spark had left, carrying with him the promise Li De had given.

In truth, it was Li De’s desire for the extraordinary power brought by the ancient alchemical magic array that convinced him—otherwise, he wouldn’t have agreed to spend several years' worth of future profits to build sothing that looked so unreliable.

But in the end, it was a case of “slls good after all.” Indeed, the Law of Truth was the only eternal rule that spanned the multiverse.

"This is really a headache. Not only does Dawn City require a huge capital investnt, but now the Crimson Mage Tower is opening up a bottomless pit mode too."

Li De shook his head, looking sowhat helplessly at the study filled wall-to-wall with oak bookshelves.

He had originally thought that once the magic factory was up and running, he would never have to worry about Gold Pucks again.

But now, even though he was making more money, the scope of his operations kept expanding, and so did his expenditures.

Dawn City went without saying—human population was skyrocketing, and if he wanted rapid developnt, he had to invest even more capital.

It was still in a cultivation phase, far from any real harvest.

From an economic perspective, only once Dawn City beca self-sufficient and could generate surplus wealth would it truly beco profitable for him.

But looking at it now, he was still a long way from his desired goal. Not that he was in a rush—after all, you can’t get fat from one bite.

They were all leeks anyway, whether he harvested them early or late didn’t make much difference.

The Crimson Mage Tower required even more investnt. The magic factory had beco his largest source of inco, and he needed to continue expanding it to obtain more wealth.

He also had to develop market share for the Mysterious Shop in Green City, and there were all sorts of daily expenditures for the Crimson Mage Tower.

And now, this bottomless pit—the Ancient Alchemical Magic Array.

It felt like everyone had their hand out, asking him for money.

Fortunately, despite the heavy expenses, inco was decent—barely enough to balance things out. A fifty-fifty split, one could say.

Several sun-hours later, the glow of sunset disappeared from the sky.

The Goddess of Night’s gaze once again descended upon the land.

While most mage apprentices were already asleep, Li De, still reading in the study, suddenly raised an eyebrow.

He turned his head toward the half-open window and extended a hand. A cool breeze flowed into the room.

Flap flap~

A bat flew in from outside.

It circled the study a few tis before quietly landing on Li De’s hand.

Li De skillfully took the secret note from the bat’s belly.

“Lord Progenitor, I’m at the Elviss Tavern.” —Signed, Emi.

Elviss? The best tavern in Green City??

Li De chuckled. This local ruffian really was sothing else.

Even though Emi had now beco a Vampire, his wanted poster was still hanging on the rcenary Guild's task wall in Green City.

And the most outrageous thing—Elviss Tavern was only a block away from the Temple of the Knight God.

Truly daring. If the priests at the Knight God’s temple found out Emi was there, they’d go mad. This damned heretic and blaspher would undoubtedly be captured and burned alive.

Li De got up, tidied himself, and left.

"Karu, prepare the carriage. We’re going to Elviss Tavern."

Karu, who hadn’t gone to bed yet, imdiately perked up upon hearing Li De’s voice. After a quick tidy-up, he ca downstairs from his room.

Upon seeing Li De in the main hall, he placed his hand over his chest and bowed.

“Good evening, Lord Li De.”

“Mm. You’re coming with to Elviss Tavern.”

“Yes,” Karu responded with so excitent. Though he was already the factory manager of the magic factory, he knew how precious it was to accompany Li De out—this signified his rising status.

Not long after, Karu had the carriage ready. Li De sat comfortably inside as they headed toward the renowned Elviss Tavern in Green City.

The reason Elviss was so well known was because it was owned by a female elf.

As a race whose fa rivaled that of Dragons in the Glory Main Plane, Elves were highly esteed everywhere.

And more importantly, the elf who owned Elviss Tavern was a master archer above Level 15.

With great power and unmatched beauty, the nobility of Green City all considered it an honor to spend money at Elviss Tavern.

The elf’s exquisite taste made this tavern the most famous place in Green City.

Naturally, prices weren’t cheap. A bottle of "Elven Rhapsody" wine brewed in the Ancient Forest could sell for 100 Gold Pucks.

It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that the tavern’s monthly profits were several tis higher than the Crimson Mage Tower’s.

Li De had never been there before, but the na was quite familiar.

Elviss Tavern was located in Green City’s Central District, not too far from the Crimson Mage Tower.

The night did not belong to commoners. The carriage’s rhythmic clip-clop echoed along the empty streets.

At this hour, those still on the streets were either wandering night sparrows waiting for custors, or underground forces—or certain evil beings.

But no matter how dangerous things got, no one dared to provoke a mage lord.

At a street corner, an underground gang who had been curious about the carriage upon hearing hoofbeats saw the emblem hanging on it and imdiately scattered.

No one would be foolish enough to provoke a high-level mage—unless they were ready to embrace the God of Death.

One sun-hour later, the clocktower at a street intersection struck 11.

The carriage, rolling over the bluestone pavent, slowly ca to a halt.

Unlike the desolate streets before, this area was bustling. Dozens of carriages lined both sides of the road, and there was a steady flow of people.

“Lord Li De, we’ve arrived at Elviss Tavern.”

Li De opened his eyes and exited his ditation state.

“Wait here.”

“Yes, Lord Li De.”

As he stepped down from the carriage, Li De’s eyes imdiately lit up.

What appeared before him was a strange yet breathtaking structure.

Treehouse was Li De’s first impression of Elviss Tavern.

The tavern wasn’t built from stone but entirely from wood. Its round door looked like it had been carved out of a tree hollow.

Most surprising was that the wood had sprouted new buds; thick green foliage covered the entire building.

Seven stories high, thirty blades tall, and over a hundred blades wide, the tavern had dozens of windows resembling a beehive. The irregular layout sohow felt natural and tasteful.

The fresh air and pleasant atmosphere made this place feel less like a tavern and more like a divine relic left behind by the Forest Goddess.

Li De’s eyes glead with awe—this world truly was extraordinary.

“Respected Mage, Elviss Tavern welcos your arrival.”
