Considering Zong Fang's capability, the Federation people put intelligence locks on his neck, wrists, and ankles. During this ti he didn't struggle or resist at all, allowing others to manipulate him without any expression on his face.

"If he was so cooperative, why is there news that the Federation lost a man during this mission?"

Ruka asked Angsi, who widened his eyes in panic, incredulously saying, "Who knows what that lunatic was thinking? The Federation people had already detained him and were ready to leave. I don't know what happened, but Zong Fang suddenly rushed over and bit that man's neck, poisoning him to death right there."

Ruka frowned and asked, "Why?"

Angsi, looking bewildered, said, "I don't know, but the people who ca back uploaded a mission report. It has records showing that after killing the man, Zong Fang said sothing."

"What did he say?"

"You dirtied my family's sofa."

After revisiting this, Angsi saw Ruka's expression pause and asked in confusion, "Colonel, what was he thinking? Was the sofa particularly valuable? But even so, you can't just attack soone over sothing so trivial! No, he's always been a madman, probably enjoys killing for fun, using any excuse like that sofa."

Ruka didn't respond, but he had an answer—

He wasn't killing for fun, but rather he wouldn't allow anyone to trample that place.

The place where they took Zong Fang was a house he had bought for Suisui in Soter. Ruka had examined it during the ti he pursued him. That place was dear to him, and one could even say Zong Fang held it in high regard. He didn't run away or hide his tracks after taking down the Simons, not because he felt invincible, but because he had lost all hope and didn't care about the consequences anymore. That's why he went directly back to that 'ho' to wait for people to co and capture him.

Considering this, Ruka asked, "After bringing him back, did they start the interrogation imdiately?"

Angsi nodded, "Exactly, an overnight interrogation, they used every thod available." As he spoke, he handed Ruka a copy of the report.

Ruka took it, looking at the interrogation records with a complex expression. In the report, Zong Fang had promptly confessed, probably because the evidence was overwhelming, and he didn't bother saying much, yet completely distanced himself from any questions related to Qiao Suisui.

He looked at the final conclusion in the report: The perpetrator has confessed, confird as a cri of passion, awaiting judgnt.

...

The next day.

Qiao Suisui had arranged to et Lanze in the greenhouse. Before going, she first saw Leberli, then used the Light Computer to call soone.

...

Greenhouse.

"I thought you would keep Carl here for a few more days." Lanze now lived in his own palace at the Imperial Court, and seed to receive information quickly.

Qiao Suisui didn't know how to respond to his comnt and took a sip of her tea.

Fortunately, Lanze noticed her deanor and quickly changed the subject. They chatted casually as usual for a while, and Qiao Suisui casually asked, "Speaking of which, it was really a surprise to see you again at the last banquet. Where did you stay after? Why didn't you go straight back to Auslan?"

Lanze's hand, holding the cup, paused and his eyes lowered, his fingers caressing the handle of the tea cup.

He smiled slightly, half-joking and half-serious, "Ash is more capable than you imagine, and since I had left before, it's not that easy to co back."

"But he still has to obediently listen to you, doesn't he?"

Lanze's smile stiffened slightly, his azure eyes like a calm sea. He softly "Hmm" and said, "He told you, did he?"

Qiao Suisui remained silent, just quietly looking at him.

Unable to bear her silence, Lanze set his teacup on the table and forced a smile, saying, "Indeed, I used my brother's death as a chance to return. Suisui, would you despise for that?"

A hint of surprise appeared in Qiao Suisui's eyes, which she quickly concealed. She continued indifferently, "I want to know why you would go to such lengths?"

Lanze's hand rested on the arm of the wicker chair. Hearing her questions, he seed to be weighing how much she really knew. His fingertips silently tapped on the armrest, as if contemplating or hesitating. In fact, Leberli hadn't told her anything about Neo.

Qiao Suisui feigned anger, suddenly stood up, and the chair made a harsh noise. She turned to leave, but Lanze, in his panic, grabbed her. As he stood up, he knocked over his teacup, splashing himself without even noticing.

"Suisui, don't be angry, I'm sorry, but believe , I would never hurt you...."

Lanze stood in front of her, blocking her way, no longer minding the usual courtesies, urgently gripping her arm.

Qiao Suisui asked, "Can you honestly say you've never done anything to hurt ?"

Lanze was suddenly stunned and hesitantly began, "....You found out?"

Qiao Suisui took out her Light Computer, holding it in front of him with a firm tone, "Zong Fang's assistant, one of them, Renol, he once helped . Before I ca to see you, I asked him about so things...." She stared at him, disappointnt written all over her face, issuing a final ultimatum, trying to break through his defenses, "Lanze, I want to hear it from you directly, not from soone else's mouth what you have done."

Lanze's face turned slightly pale, his hands dropping limply, trying to smile at her as usual, but the smile at that mont was uglier than a cry.

"It was who let Neo sell your dical records to the dia....but I swear, I won't let it affect you."

It was him!

Sothing flashed swiftly through Qiao Suisui's mind, too fast for her to grasp!

Pretending to have understood all the truth, she provoked him, "So from the banquet, you deliberately plotted to expose my identity to everyone, to trap in a dilemma?"

"No!" Lanze raised his voice, passionately saying, "How could I let you get hurt?"

"That was for...."

Qiao Suisui's voice abruptly stopped mid-sentence, her mind racing. At this mont, she finally pieced together part of the truth.

Before coming here, when she couldn't get any information from Leberli, she had called Renol, but he only told her that the press conference wasn't arranged by Zong Fang; he knew nothing else. So just now, she utilized a single clue to blast out Lanze's words.

It was Lanze who exposed her identity, arranged the press conference, and then he used Neo and Leberli for so deal to return safely to Auslan....Was Neo's death related to him? Why did he want her to misunderstand Zong Fang?

Recalling Zong Fang's behavior that night at the banquet, a flash crossed Qiao Suisui's eyes, and a terrifying conjecture erged in her mind—

Perhaps, before she misunderstood Zong Fang, Zong Fang had already misunderstood her?

Lanze kept explaining, but Qiao Suisui couldn't hear a word anymore; she closed her eyes and for the first ti, confronted Lanze with such a cold tone—

"That night at the banquet, what did you say to him?"
