The Wakandan palace was suddenly quiet.
On the polished Vibranium floor, Hellfire, Lucy, Raina, Captain Arica, Black Panther, and the Black Fla Horse found themselves half-buried in the ground. Despite their struggles, they couldn't break free.
They could only watch helplessly as Thanos piloted the Spaceship, heading toward New York.
"Give up; you cannot stop the master from taking the fourth Infinity Stone," Black Swam taunted, standing before them with an air of arrogance.
The Death General, even more nacing, picked up the death scythe from the ground and coldly regarded the immobile group. His eyes glinted with an undisguised killing intent.
Though they were injured, it didn't diminish their threat. They still posed a direct danger to everyone in the room.
"What do you want to do?" Lucy asked, glancing at the Death General, her voice icy. "Thanos promised he would take the Mind Stone and then let us go."
"Yes, the master did promise," The Death General sneered, swinging his scythe as he approached them. "But just because the master won't kill you doesn't an we can't."
"You— despicable!" Shuri gritted her teeth, finally managing to voice her anger.
"Despicable?" Black Swam laughed mockingly. "Only you Earthlings would use such words. In the vast, boundless universe, there's only the law of survival of the fittest— the strong are the rulers. It doesn't matter what tricks or strategies are used; as long as victory is achieved, it's the way of the strong!"
Lucy and the others gritted their teeth, feeling helpless. Thanos' final move had been ruthless. They were embedded in Vibranium, with no hope of turning the tide.
Black Panther lowered his head, filled with self-bla. "It's my fault. I shouldn't have just handed over the Mind Stone."
"This can't be blad on you. If I were in your place, I would have had no choice but to give him the Stone too," Steve sighed.
Thanos had seen through human nature, understanding it all too well.
"It's ti to end this," the Death General said, stepping closer. His voice was hoarse as he whispered, "I have to admit, you humans really surprised . For such a small civilization, you've caused us so much trouble."
He leaned in closer. "Don't worry; I'll be quick. I'll sever all your heads."
As he spoke, the scythe in his hand was raised high, ready to strike down at Steve. However, in the next mont, his body and the scythe froze strangely.
The group stared in surprise and turned to see Raina, her eyes glowing once again with a silver, holy light.
"Is this ever going to end? This ability is really disgusting…" The Death General muttered irritably, but before he could finish, a sudden shout ca from behind him, "Watch out!"
A sharp katana blade pierced through the Death General's back, erging from his chest, dripping with blood.
"Who...?" The Death General looked down in disbelief at the katana that had pierced through his body, the tip still dripping blood.
"I bet you didn't expect this. I'm not dead yet."
Standing behind the Death General was Deadpool, who had previously lost half of his body but had now completely healed. He shrugged and swung the katana, cleanly slicing the Death General in half at the waist.
Steve and the others watched in astonishnt.
While Deadpool wasn't particularly powerful in terms of combat strength, his undying ability made him virtually unbeatable. He was the easiest to overlook on the battlefield, but also the one most likely to turn the tide!
"You damn human worm!"
Seeing the Death General collapse to the ground, Black Swam's eyes were bloodshot. But in the next instant, an arm suddenly reached out from behind and tightly grabbed her slender neck.
Deadpool quickly followed up, thrusting the blood-stained Carbonadium katana into Black Swam's chest.
Warm blood splattered everywhere as Black Swam struggled violently, but the Iron arm didn't let go, holding her tight until her strength completely drained away.
Her body slid downward, revealing the late-arriving Winter Soldier, Bucky.
"Bucky, I knew it! You really ca through!" Steve couldn't help but laugh. Bucky had deliberately held back, clearly waiting for this mont of counterattack.
With the two alien guards successfully killed, the imdiate crisis was temporarily averted. However, Thanos was still on his way to New York.
The ultimate crisis still lood.
"How do I get you guys out?" Bucky asked, looking at the others trapped in the Vibranium floor.
Shuri spoke calmly, "Wait for our guard team to arrive. They can use specialized equipnt to disassemble the Vibranium floor, but it will take so ti."
"Ti is exactly what we're lacking," Steve sighed, pausing briefly. "Now, who's in New York?"
Lucy quickly responded, "Tony, Wanda, Quicksilver, and Doctor Strange. They should all be there."
"Can they hold the Ti Stone with just them?" Steve continued, falling into a brief thought.
The group fell silent, and the answer was obvious.
After all, even they hadn't been able to stop Thanos. Now, with the addition of the Mind Stone, Thanos' power was beyond logical estimation.
Steve, aware of this, said gravely, "Soone must go inform Doctor Strange and the others. They need to escape with the Ti Stone. We cannot let the fourth Stone fall into Thanos' hands."
"It's too late," Black Panther said helplessly. "Even if we use Wakanda's fastest transport, we still won't make it to New York in ti."
"Not necessarily."
A cold voice echoed in the room. Lucy widened her eyes as she saw a translucent figure erging from Raina's body. The figure glowed with silver light in the air.
"Raina, what are you doing?" Lucy felt the overwhelming ntal power and strong life force emanating from that silver silhouette.
It was Raina's soul.
"This was Ancient One's advice. Since my abilities have exceeded my body's limits, I might as well abandon it," Raina's soul smiled lightly. After freeing herself from the body's constraints for decades, her true ntal power now manifested, and the pressure she exerted was beyond Hellfire's.
She waved to the group, "Everyone, it seems our paths will cross again so other ti. I'm going to stop Thanos."
"Don't!"
Realizing Raina was saying her farewell as if heading to her death, Lucy cried out. But Raina's soul transford into a beam of light, vanishing into the space and disappearing through the walls in an instant.
Tears stread uncontrollably from Lucy's eyes. She looked at Raina's body beside her and whispered, "Raina. You've taken on everything once more. You must co back alive!"
The remaining white frost mist flowed from Lucy's mouth, slowly freezing Raina's body, encasing it in ice.
