So things don’t need to be hidden away; we won’t find the answers to the origins of Rada Gan’s abilities or the Horse-shaped Heavenly Falling Object’s return to the sea all by ourselves.
As the founder of United Pharmaceuticals and a leading figure among the scholars in the Sethiyan Federation who study the Heavenly Falling Objects, Wei Tianyang believed that with Spencer’s knowledge, vision, and resources, it wouldn’t be difficult to analyze the clues.
Therefore, he imdiately inford Spencer about the current situation of the horse and all the abilities of Rada Gan.
Upon hearing this from Wei Tianyang, Spencer set down his glass, knitted his brows, and stroked his chin in thought.
Wei Tianyang, anwhile, poured himself another glass and then picked up the bottle to examine it closely. The short, stout bottle with a black cap bore a white square label, on which was simply written "Yamazaki" in Yin script. To the side, there was a series of descriptions of the whiskey and a striking "25 year" emblem.
Yamazaki 25 Years, a Richu Whiskey with a smooth taste and a rustic aroma, was considered a top-notch mber of the whiskey family.
He never used to drink, but after having a few drinks with Yaha on the rooftop of Pei Guode, he had grown accustod to the taste of alcohol.
But not all liquors are the sa.
Clearly, the whiskey that Yaha and Spencer drank was nothing like the common green-bottled liquor found at construction sites. Once, on the encouragent of his co-workers, Wei Tianyang had taken a sip. It was fiercely spicy and choking, the burning liquid coating his tongue like countless blades scraping over it. Swallowing it felt like setting his throat on fire.
Wine and whiskey, however, are not as harsh and pungent. Although they also contain the bitterness of alcohol, they boast the subtle fragrances of fruits and other fernted ingredients, making them much tastier than the harsh liquor.
As he pondered, Spencer also began to find so clues from layers of mories.
He took a sip of his drink and said gravely, "I’ve heard of the ability to turn people into gold. Unfortunately, that Heavenly Falling Object was not one of our company’s projects. But I have been to the containnt site for that project, and I have seen the sealed inverted triangle dicine People used for display."
"So, there are countless Rada Gans in this world?" Wei Tianyang said.
"No, the project was ultimately determined to be aningless, so the pharmaceutical company along with the dicine People and the Heavenly Falling Object were all destroyed," Spencer shook his head.
"Were they afraid of creating too much gold and impacting the international gold price?" Wei Tianyang asked.
"You know that currency itself is worthless. The use of them to exchange for tangible agricultural produce and goods depends on the credibility and strength of the minting country. The value of international currency is anchored to gold, so rather than saying Rada Gan’s superpower is creating gold, it would be more accurate to say they were destroying the value of gold," Spencer explained.
"So, you’re saying Rada Gan is the one that got away," Wei Tianyang took a sip of his drink.
Co to think of it, Rada Gan and Yaha are no different; both chose the sa path, only their ways of walking it aren’t quite the sa...
Yaha hopes to gather a large team of dicine People and by proving his value, to look forward to being recruited by pharmaceutical companies.
Rada Gan, however, made use of mythology to play the role of a deity and indirectly beca a spiritual leader of a nation.
In fact, both paths are viable. Yaha and Rada Gan’s abilities are sufficient to keep them on these paths. In this light, Rada Gan might even be stronger than Yaha. He uses his ability to gain more people’s trust, while Yaha is hung up on the consumption of neutralizing agents and reluctant to use his abilities to network with the elite.
"What’s the background of that pharmaceutical company? I’m curious. They seem to have resisted the temptation of gold," Wei Tianyang inquired.
"Internationally, there aren’t many pharmaceutical companies that can produce Black dicine; just six in total, backed by various national powers. For instance, Tian Tai is supported by several small but economically powerful countries in the eastern region of the East Continent; Red’s backer is the countries of the Western Alliance, and my United Pharmaceuticals started producing Black dicine for the Sethiyan Federation. The other three are also held up by the backing and investnts of nations with so money and power," Spencer detailed.
"Superpower Special Forces are the nuclear weapons of this era; you should be quite clear about that. You are much more useful than a nuclear bomb. The background of that pharmaceutical company is complex, with shadows of Richu Country and Zhuo Wei Country, but on the surface, it belongs to the Heiside Continent. The na is quite peculiar, it’s called 25 Pharmaceutical."
Spencer said, draining his cup in one gulp.
"25 Pharmaceutical?" Wei Tianyang said.
"The number 25. Their na is just that strange. I even asked about the reason behind it, and their leader said the na symbolizes the 25 sheikhdoms of the Heiside Continent. But I know well that those black people are fluent in Japanese and are not genuine Heiside Continent residents," said Spencer.
"I guess this partnership is nothing more than the Heiside Continent providing the population, while Richu Country and Zhuo Wei Country conduct technological research..." Wei Tianyang said.
"I make no comnts about that; it’s their business," Spencer said.
Wei Tianyang understood what Spencer ant by saying this, so he also wouldn’t ask how Spencer’s United Pharmaceuticals got hold of the dicine People.
The discussion on the origins of Rada Gan ceased, and now the conversation turned to the horse in question.
Spencer’s robot brought in another bottle of wine, this one exceedingly luxurious, with the na etched in sparkling silver on the cap, Bo Mo 54 Years. The pale amber wine glistened crystal clear in the glass bottle, the bottom half of which had even been carved into a wave pattern.
Spencer twisted off the cap, filling Wei Tianyang’s glass.
"This bottle of wine, only 12 were sold that year, not even Steijie could drink a sip," Spencer said with a laugh.
"That’s quite generous," Wei Tianyang said.
"The person sitting before is more precious than this wine," Spencer said as he poured himself a full glass and then raised his glass to Wei Tianyang.
The two clinked glasses and downed their drinks in one go.
"Alright, that horse... I’ve been studying it for a year in Yixu. Whether it’s the dicine People or the display items, all has been finished; its ability is simply accelerated speed," Spencer said.
"Speed? How fast can it go?" asked Wei Tianyang.
"It depends on the individual receiving the injection. The faster they can run, the greater the acceleration. Currently, the world record for the 100 ters is 9.25 seconds set by Sedmo at the Yin Country Olympic Gas in 2099. The fastest person we selected from the trial dicine People ran it in 13.22 seconds. After injecting the finished Black dicine, he easily broke the world record," said Spencer.
"How fast?" Wei Tianyang asked.
"2 seconds," Spencer said.
"2 seconds?!" Wei Tianyang shifted excitedly in his seat.
seconds to run 100 ters?! What kind of speed is that?
"Didn’t Yixu threaten to mass-produce this Black dicine? Based on what I know of them, they’re capable of such things," Wei Tianyang questioned.
"No, because the ability has significant drawbacks. Running 100 ters in 2 seconds sounds impressive, right? But do you know what happened to that person afterward?" Spencer asked.
Wei Tianyang was montarily stunned; he couldn’t imagine what the consequences might be, so he shook his head.
"Extensive burns all over the body, bone fractures, and then permanently disabled," said Spencer.
