Another phenonon occurring within the City of Evil Spirits was the appearance of fragnts; so of them twisted people into evil-transford creatures, as though possessed by Evil Spirits, yet slightly different. But those beings perished in the light emitted by the God of Rebellion; those who didn’t die outright were flipped inside out, their natures altered to resemble those who had co into contact with a different type of fragnt.
In any case, the City of Evil Spirits was not as chaotic as one might imagine. By the ti the action squads arrived to take control, the survivors had already established stable areas for refuge.
It wasn’t that everyone in the City had high moral standards, nor was it due to the God of Rebellion floating in the sky; rather, there was an unidentified ’vigilante’ within the city, and anyone who tried to cause trouble would have their head blown off with a single bullet.
People had discovered where the bullets were coming from. So, emboldened by the fragnts scattered throughout the city and the black ooze that bestowed imnse strength, tried to take down this ’vigilante.’

At first, so disbelievers in Evil Spirits placed blind faith in their formidable powers, but eventually, they too were fearful, especially upon learning that the person atop that building might be the one who had defeated the Great Evil God...
The sniping continued, and more drones flew through the city. These drones would actively collect certain materials. Initially, so had attacked the drones, but when they learned that their origins traced back to that damaged building, whether they had gained strength by chance or were just ordinary people, they dared not interfere with the drones anymore.
When a drone was destroyed, it left a record, and Zheng Yichen would co looking for trouble if there were such records.
