As she approached, a faint black aura briefly emanated from her body, disappearing in less than a few seconds. Alice explained that the remnants of the Evil Spirit power lingering on her were purged, which was a good thing.
"Let’s leave it here. With Its presence, other Evil Spirits wouldn’t dare to co close."
It wasn’t just that they wouldn’t dare to approach—her herb field was about to beco an ordinary one due to the aura emitted by the Heroic Spirit.
She didn’t care much about that field anymore. After all, her body had recovered to the desired state. So what if the field was gone? Even though she had devoted years of Heartblood to cultivate that field, it was okay. It was all worth it.
"Wait, how far do we have to go?"
"Less than fifty kiloters. If we walk fast, we can return by evening, and with so luck, we might even catch a ride."
The girl felt like rolling her eyes. "How much is less than fifty kiloters?"
"Forty-seven kiloters."
"..."
To go or not to go? Rebecca, who had already started to believe so truths, bit her lip and chose to set off with Alice. She could hardly imagine how they would manage the round trip in a day. That would add up to a hundred kiloters, which seed almost life-threatening to soone like Rebecca who had never encountered special powers.
But after she saw Alice forcibly commandeering an Aberrant creature dominated by a ntal Aberration creature as a mount, she understood how...
City of Evil Spirits.
Bazel looked at a robust man before him—it was clear who the man was. It was astonishing that this guy was one of the Evil Spirit leaders of the City of Evil Spirits. In others’ minds, those dominated by Evil Spirits were expected to appear weak and emaciated.
"A hostile god has been resurrected," the robust man said gravely, "that will severely impact our plans."
"Hehehe, that’s your plan, not ours," Bazel chuckled and spoke unhurriedly. Evil Spirits had their own plans and thoughts, as did the Boundary Breakers. There wouldn’t be any conflict between them until their respective goals were achieved.
Breaking boundaries would cause severe shocks to this world, resulting in the death of many living beings, while the Evil Spirits aid to resurrect their origin—the Great Evil God, which in this world had almost beco mythological lore.
The deaths of nurous Holy Spirits would inevitably emit negative ntal Power that would envelop the world, all serving as nourishnt for their origin god.
In the eyes of Evil Spirits, the Great Evil God was not only their origin but also the origin of all creatures in this world. Generally, gods with such origin myths would not be described as ’Evil Gods,’ as it would be deaning. For example, in so worlds, places like demonic sects wouldn’t call themselves in this manner.
Most refer to themselves as holy sects.
However, the community of Evil Spirits proudly used the title of Great Evil God. The minds of Evil Spirits were already twisted, and they took pride in the title. Bazel was quite surprised by their plan, though. The Evil Spirits kept it well hidden, and only recently, when they beca sowhat restless, did they reveal so information.
However, that information was incomplete. So Boundary Breakers fully understood after their own investigations. In essence, the Evil Spirits’ plan had encountered one more obstacle.
The Great Evil God they aid to resurrect wasn’t yet ford, and another god they called ’Contrary’ had erged beforehand. Even though that god was currently weak, it had beco their greatest impedint. Essentially, that god was in the Mortal Realm, while the Great Evil God the Evil Spirits sought to resurrect was in Hell.
The barrier between Hell and the Mortal Realm of this world was significant. The techniques they brought over couldn’t open a portal to Hell—it was like a matter of setting the wrong paraters. Their thods matched the required paraters in other worlds, so they could open portals to Hell there.
But the paraters for Hell’s portals in this world were odd, making their thods ineffective here.
The Evil Spirits had always tried to open such a portal. At first, Bazel thought the purpose of the Evil Spirits was to unleash the countless Evil Spirits and ntal Aberration creatures in Hell. However, that turned out to be just a cover for their true intentions.
To release the Evil Spirits from Hell was one objective, but what was crucial was that they wanted to bring out the Great Evil God’s fragnts from Hell and resurrect it in the Mortal Realm. Resurrecting in Hell was also feasible, as long as they were willing to sacrifice a large number of Evil Spirits.
The issue was, how would they traverse the map once resurrected in Hell?
By now, the intentions of the Evil Spirits were quite clear. The alliance between the Boundary Breaking Faction and the Evil Spirits was a dangerous gamble. However, the Evil Spirits were indeed adept at stirring up trouble, having established the City of Evil Spirits. So far, any Dusk rcenary who had co here had ended up blindfolded. These Dusk rcenaries tried hard to investigate clues related to breaking the factors, but all they found was what the Evil Spirits wanted them to see.
A group of the blind, if not for the influence of Dusk, would only be led to confusion unto death!
They could co to realize sothing was off, as Dusk indicated that their mission was incomplete. So tasks were indeed completed, but Bazel deliberately got rid of those Boundary Breakers who were influenced by Evil Spirits by sending them on a wild goose chase when Dusk rcenaries brought back their achievents.
So far, these Dusk rcenaries hadn’t even discovered the truth about the City of Evil Spirits. Inquiring Dusk was possible, but they hadn’t realized there was any issue to begin with, so how could they ask about sothing they didn’t even consider questioning?
