"You’re back," said Alice in her pajamas as she greeted the returning Zheng Yichen.

After turning white, this woman began to wear clothes that made her look pretty. She scrutinized Zheng Yichen’s current state; there was no apparent damage on him from the outside, and even fewer signs of battle.

"Rest for a while, we’ll continue tomorrow." Zheng Yichen took a short break before leaving Alice’s house. He needed to hunt so wild beasts and aberrant creatures to recover, and it wasn’t hard to find these aberrant creatures—the bait could attract a large number of them.

In the dead of night, Zheng Yichen cleared out all the aberrant creatures in several mountain ranges. Not only did he fully recover the life essence he had used up, but he also felt his life essence almost filling up one of his arms. It would still take so ti to fill his whole body.

On the way back, Zheng Yichen ate so dry food and threw a soul fragnt of an evil spirit, rolled into a ball, to the white ball. The little creature, despite having a fragnt of a Great Evil God inside it, still had quite the appetite and didn’t refuse the nourishnt from Zheng Yichen.

And more than a day’s ti had made the white ball lively again. Zheng Yichen pinched the creature’s body; it was unwilling to spit out the fragnt it had swallowed. Moreover, when pinched, the fragnt seed to have softened, feeling almost like cartilage.

Zheng Yichen felt that even if he forced that fragnt out, it probably wouldn’t be a normal fragnt anymore. The white ball had no interest in another soul-less fragnt in Zheng Yichen’s hand.

"I still wanted to sacrifice another shadow of a Great Evil God..." Zheng Yichen said with regret. He decided to go to Hell again, but first, he needed to rest and regain his energy.

"If you don’t mind, you can stay in my room," Alice told the returning Zheng Yichen.

"Okay, I’ll set off tonight."

Watching the unceremonious Zheng Yichen, Alice wanted to ask what exactly he planned to do. Based on the limited information she had, the enemies that threatened their world were beyond her ability to deal with. It seed that only Zheng Yichen was reliable in this matter.

Yet Zheng Yichen seed to be loafing around.

"What on earth is he doing?" Seeing Zheng Yichen heading upstairs, Rebecca couldn’t help but ask.

"I don’t know, and I need his help very much, so I won’t question what he is doing," Alice replied, glancing out the window at the multi-handed Heroic Spirit. She had been in contact with that being, which caused a true reversal in her bodily state, not a temporary one that would return to normal after a while.

For this, she had prepared herself to lose so conveniences. However, upon trying it out, she found that not only had she not lost her forr conveniences, but she had also gained new traits.

She could now interact with things that only Evil Spirits could touch. Her power used to be on the sa level as an Evil Spirit, but now she had a clear restraining effect when dealing with them and similarly wielded so influence over ntal Aberration creatures.

"And haven’t you already believed what he said?"

"..." Rebecca looked at the book on the table. She had never heard of the martial arts ntioned in it, but the annotations were very clear, making it understandable even for soone like her who had no prior exposure. She couldn’t resist trying out the exercises, and to her surprise, the stuff Zheng Yichen provided was pretty interesting—she managed to learn it.

With just an initial attempt, she felt the sense of qi ntioned in the book. Of course, she tried because of her own situation. Heartache aside, whenever she looked in the mirror and saw her withered appearance, Rebecca cared deeply. Zheng Yichen said the content of the book could speed up her physical recovery, and she was sowhat impatient.

She tried it, and it felt quite effective.

"But he doesn’t look at all like he’s trying to save the world."

"Does he have to write ’saving the world’ on his face? What do you think of his eyes?" Alice shook her head, changing the subject. Discussing whether Zheng Yichen was a world-saver was pointless—they couldn’t be part of what Zheng Yichen had to do.

"His eyes? I think they’re okay...uh, very beautiful." Rebecca thought about the dusk-like color in Zheng Yichen’s eyes, akin to a beautiful sunset scene, which she adored. Not to ntion, if it ca to choosing a boyfriend, those eyes alone could captivate her.

After considering, Alice said, "I see. Co with , I’ll take you sowhere as a precaution."

"...His eyes have sothing special?"

"I don’t know, but the first ti I saw him, I was drawn to his eyes, and I noticed you kept focusing on his eyes frequently when you t him."

Noticing this detail made Alice specifically ask about it.

As they were leaving, Alice glanced at the cloak on the coat rack, hesitated for a mont, and then put on the cloak. She might have returned to normal, but she had no intention of flaunting it just yet, at least not until she was certain her world was stable again.

"What about It? Should we just leave It here?" Rebecca hesitated, looking at the Heroic Spirit outside. Previously, when Alice approached it, smoke would appear on her body, but now there were no substantial issues getting close to it.
