The Compass was very effective, but once those Supre Demons weakened themselves to a certain extent, the Compass couldn’t locate them across this world without regard to distance anymore. It could only find them when within a certain range, and with the world being so vast and only one Compass available, finding those reincarnated Supre Demons was not an easy task.
"It’s okay, from now on those things are our business." Liu Hongzhao said calmly, "We can’t bother Brother Chang Qing with everything. We can’t beat the Supre Demons at their peak, and if we can’t even beat the reincarnated ones, I might as well go serve as a maid at Brother Chang Qing’s side."
"Humph, humph, humph..." Lin Yaoyao lightly snorted a few tis, glanced at Liu Hongzhao, and thought, always trying to squeeze your way to Brother Chang Qing’s side, aren’t you?
However, after seeing the strength of the Supre Demons this ti, they indeed had a new understanding. The power displayed by the Supre Demons at their peak was too strong, even though Zheng Yichen seed to be fighting effortlessly.
But that was just an appearance of ease. They felt the aftershocks of Zheng Yichen’s battle when they were dealing with the Supre Demon servants.
The Supre Demons were strong, and now Zheng Yichen was even stronger. This rate of growth made Lin Yaoyao sowhat disheartened. It wasn’t jealousy; she had always wanted to help with important matters. But when it ca to fighting the Supre Demons at their peak, she was just clearing out the minions.
Liu Hongzhao, on the other hand, could exchange a few moves, but the pressure was also very high. It was impossible for them to win against a Supre Demon in its pri.
With that in mind, going to Brother Chang Qing’s side to serve as a maid, offering tea and warming his bed, didn’t sound too bad...
"It’s still the sa thing. How long have you been practicing martial arts? Yaoyao and Hong Zhao, it’s been less than a year." As he said this, Zheng Yichen glanced at Qi Xiangyun: "Xiangyun, you practiced martial arts before, but that was just for fitness, without any specialization. And yet, you want to personally take on a fully-powered Supre Demon? You’re aiming too high."
"I can fly, though." Qi Xiangyun quickly said, "I don’t need chanical Techniques to take to the skies."
Her constitution was that of thunder, and her Blood Asura inner force started with no attributes, but later, as her constitution evolved, it allowed her to move incredibly fast during battle, and to perform rapid movents in the sky, which was sort of like flying. However, maintaining flight required her to continuously expend Inner Strength for movent, as she couldn’t hover in place.
"I can do it too, but there’s no need." Liu Hongzhao followed, saying her constitution included the wind elent, which allowed more freedom when flying. Even if not as fast as Qi Xiangyun, it made her seem carefree... with an air of a fairy. Of course, she only showcased this deanor for Zheng Yichen.
"..." Lin Yaoyao didn’t say a word. She couldn’t fly; her constitution was that of water and earth, so flying was basically out of the question for her, unless she learned so spells that could make her fly. But learning that type of spell wasn’t ideal for her, as earth-tunneling spells were more fitting.
But she didn’t want to use those kinds of spells. What girl would dig through the ground without reason, like an earthworm?
Seeing Lin Yaoyao’s puffed-up angry look, Zheng Yichen smiled and said, "Alright, from now on you can just leech experience. Each of you is talented; you’ve just been exposed to martial arts for too short a ti. You’re all promising future female knights."
"How long have you been a Proxy Agent then, Brother Chang Qing?" Lin Yaoyao asked Zheng Yichen, propping up her chin.
Zheng Yichen pondered for a mont: "About a year or so, but you shouldn’t use my case as a reference. After all, I was considered an exceptional genius recognized by Dusk to beco a Proxy Agent, otherwise, I would have been gone long ago."
That wasn’t boasting, but rather the truth. Otherwise, Dusk would have had more Proxy Agents, but Dusk’s requirents for Proxy Agents weren’t just about selecting cannon fodder; they genuinely sought elite individuals.
Actually, Zheng Yichen thought that having more cannon fodder wouldn’t be such a bad thing. They were all beings who had been trapped, and with nowhere else to go, their desire for revenge against the Equilibrium Faction wouldn’t be small. With everything to gamble, there would always be so who may not seem very talented but could stage a coback, right?
Maybe there would be so among them who were incredibly lucky.
However, it seed Dusk didn’t see it that way? Or maybe Dusk did see it but only picked the cream of the crop from these types.
"Alright, it’s getting late. You all should rest earlier, as there’s a lot to do tomorrow."
