Why has it co to this...
The ntal parasite monster was puzzled by the sudden turn of events that had beco very disadvantageous for it. The roads had been sealed off, and the witch relentlessly located it. It wanted to retaliate but was restrained by the divinely powered skull and could not bring about any substantial impact on the witch.
On the contrary, the witch was growing rapidly. Although her progress was still negligible compared to it, the combination of her improvent and the skull imposed additional pressure on it.
With such precise location tracking, there was no need for elaborate arrangents to block the roads; it was enough to focus on just a few key places. Many people in Hazy City were eager to capture it, and those local forces were simply too overbearing. They not only captured a good number of its avatars but also were closing in on its main body relentlessly.
Moreover, the captured avatars were now severed from its control. This severance didn’t set the avatars free but disrupted the connection between them and the core entity; aning if it was killed, it couldn’t use an avatar to resurrect.
As for additional parasitism... pointless!
The witch’s tracking made any attempt at parasitic transfer aningless and would end up wasting its power. Each transfer further weakened it.
"I surrender! I admit defeat!!" The ntal parasite monster no longer concealed its presence and exposed itself openly, raising its hands and speaking very straightforwardly. It could still struggle on, but continuing to do so was pointless now that it was completely oppressed to the extre of passivity.
There was no more ti to cause trouble. Now, when the witch was not tracking it, she could withdraw the power stored in the skull, making it impossible to sense her location. This was an even worse situation; the unknown is the most terrifying. Perhaps Zheng Yichen had already located it and was about to strike...
That type of Hellfire carried the possibility of burning it alive, not to ntion the witch’s power absorption. To not surrender was to wait for death.
"Oh? Surrendering, are we? We appreciate soone as wise as you." Ahn Longling looked at the ordinary passerby in front of her, revealing a faint smile, "However, you’ll need to provide compensation that satisfies us for the damage you caused before."
"... Of course, compensation is the last thing I lack." With eyes that held a faint red glow, the ntal parasite monster spoke. It recognized Ahn Longling—the people at North Lake had not been spared sacrifice, as so of the local ard personnel also suffered internal organ mutations.
Having captured so of those people’s mories, it learned that Ahn Longling was the superior of those ard personnel and that her status in Hazy City was very high... It didn’t plan a direct ntal parasitism on this woman but prepared to exert a subtle, covert influence instead.
There were so many people here; initiating a direct ntal parasitism was too risky. Ahn Longling, fully normal, was the fourth young lady of the prominent Ahn family of Hazy City. But Ahn Longling, stripped of her core, would beco a monster from an alien world.
Her maintaining normalcy was critical, and more importantly, the ambitions she inadvertently revealed had also been captured by it.
Ambition is good; with ambition cos more manipulable factors.
At that mont, a huge, delicate web appeared here, more like a spider’s web than a net. As soon as it materialized overhead, the ntal parasite monster sensed danger.
Without a second thought, it charged at Ahn Longling. Nearby ard personnel acted swiftly, killing its physical form on the spot. The killed ntal parasite monster exploded, its mutated organs turning into dangerous insect-like creatures that quickly scattered in all directions.
However, a man shot all those insects to death with accurate and swift gunfire. A blood-red figure roared, attempting to break free from the place, but it was firmly restricted by the black ’spiderweb’ that had appeared in the sky, a web that contained a faint Divinity Power.
Moreover, the entire web was supplented with blessing and protection magic. This magic was reversely effective, posing no threats to humans, but to creatures that resembled evil spirits, the threat was significant.
Indeed, the magic hadn’t inflicted direct damage, but it had firmly ensnared it, completely severing the entity’s connection to its avatars...
"You all figured I’d be here??"
The blood-red figure roared.
"Not really, we just confird that you would choose this place." Ahn Longling looked at the blood-red shadow strapped by the web and said that as long as Zheng Yichen could still lock on to the monster’s trace, and the monster tried to rely on its avatars to escape, it would surely co here.
In executing this operation, Zheng Yichen had earlier contacted her and asked her to pick up soone from his house, a White Witch nad Katrina. This witch wasn’t very powerful, but she was proficient in blessing and protection magic. Along with so prepared artifacts, they successfully kept the monster’s main body here.
Regarding threats, the amulets Katrina made had excellent protection effects, and they had conducted corresponding tests through the avatars they captured.
Otherwise, Ahn Longling wouldn’t have appeared so conspicuously here, drawing the monster’s attention further onto herself.
Ahn Longling glanced into the shadows to ensure safety. She had also contacted Ahn Qi and borrowed soone from her hunters group to be on the safe side. It now seed that the borrowed muscle wouldn’t be needed to show up.
