"This vehicle is just for you to use temporarily. If the engine you bring back is really special, once we develop new transportation, there will be new ones sent to you."

The car that Zheng Yichen took? There’s no way it would be taken back. In fact, she even had soone reinspect it and remove quite a few extra small parts from it, which included so locators and tracking recorders.

Keeping those devices in the car would indeed allow her to understand Zheng Yichen better, but leaving them there would an she wouldn’t be the only one getting to know him later on. It was better to remove them.

"There’s also so weapons and equipnt." Zheng Yichen would never overlook modern weapons. Ordinary firearms weren’t very effective in so places — simply because their firepower wasn’t strong enough.

If he had had more powerful weapons when dealing with the giant serpent, like an electromagnetic railgun which was awesoly powerful, the giant serpent would have had a hard ti.

"You’ll have to pay for those weapons, they’re available through certain channels. If you can’t find them through these channels, it ans I won’t be able to help you get them either," Ahn Qi said pragmatically. The car could be given — that was because Zheng Yichen had brought sothing even more worthwhile for research. Once the result was out, the cars here would beco outdated.

Not to the point of being discarded, but the ones used by so people at the Ahn family would definitely be phased out.

Weapons, motorcycle-specific consumables, parts, and so on would all need to be purchased by Zheng Yichen himself in the future. Those weren’t freebies. Zheng Yichen wasn’t her subordinate but a special collaborator. Once the engine was thoroughly researched, and new equipnt was developed, Zheng Yichen would get one of the newly developed vehicles, and it would be the latest model.

All subsequent regular maintenance and updates would be free of charge, and this would be part of the cooperation agreent, sothing that Zheng Yichen was entitled to. In fact, while receiving what he was owed, they would still have to pay him extra.

"I also want to have a eting with that fire dragon, I have so things I want to understand."

"That dragon? Sure."

Ahn Qi readily agreed. The fire dragon had already been settled in. It stayed up all night, focusing all its attention on the information of this world, with accompanying personnel beside it to explain, letting it understand through the internet just how powerful so of the weapons in this world were.

The restless heart of the dragon cald down. Not to speak of those secret weapons, but the publicly known ones such as airplanes, missiles, and cannons were enough to make Fire Dragon Klakauska sweat profusely. In its world, such weapons probably didn’t pose much of a threat to it; things like artillery bombardnt, a firewall could block most of it.

Those missiles wouldn’t even penetrate the barrier, rely forcibly detonating upon contact. Even if the blast managed to get through the firewall, a dragon’s body could withstand it.

But in this world, it couldn’t deploy a powerful firewall at all. It wasn’t even a fla, but rather a mist of fire that was problematic against planes and cannons.

The fire dragon, having made ntal preparations, beca very cooperative in subsequent matters... A psychologist monitoring the dragon noted that Fire Dragon Klakauska seed to be giving up, which was not a good sign. Ahn Qi wanted a combat unit that could play an important role in the hunters group, not a pet.

Ahn family’s base outside Hazy City.

"It’s you?" Fire Dragon Klakauska greeted Zheng Yichen as he arrived and continued nibbling on the piece of at beside him. Although there was none of the gold that filled his lairs here, the food was still very good. In addition, there were dical staff treating his wounds.

Occasionally, he heard dubious conversations on whether welding could repair scales, but he didn’t really mind. As long as he was well fed, his wounds would heal quickly, and his damaged scales would gradually regenerate. Those not familiar with dragons simply did not understand what kind of creature they were discussing.

"I have a few questions I want to ask you."

"Oh... wait a second." Fire Dragon Klakauska noticed sothing, tossed the chunk of at he held in his claws into his mouth, and then brought his massive head close to Zheng Yichen, sniffing delicately, "Strange, why do I sll the scent of my kin on you?"

"Perhaps I got so of your blood on before?" Zheng Yichen raised an eyebrow. This fire dragon was the first extraordinary creature he had fought without completely finishing off.

Other extraordinary creatures he had fought were dead through and through, and after having their blood sucked by him, would not have any opinions thereafter. He had drawn blood from this dragon, and was still in a feedback phase, which usually lasted about a week or so. Afterward, he would completely digest it.

"What are you talking about? I’m not one of those dragons whose blood can bestow great power after a bath," Fire Dragon Klakauska said with a serious face upon hearing Zheng Yichen’s words. It had learned a lot about this world from yesterday until today. That thing called the internet was too convenient.

After figuring out how to use the internet itself, it started pondering other things. As a dragon, in fact, it was smarter than most humans. Given the size of a dragon, its brain was also far larger than a normal human’s brain. It searched online for entries related to dragons.

And so, he found a bunch of dragon-related novels instead of the kind of material he was looking for. The novels featuring fire dragons seed quite interesting, although he found the way dragons were portrayed as main characters a bit odd. Still, as long as they were entertaining, that was all that mattered.

He read several books overnight, and they all ntioned that those who bathed in Dragon Blood would beco very strong—such as having tougher skin, greater resistance to magic and physical attacks, and so on.

To the fire dragon, that just seed like utter nonsense. Maybe dragons from other alien worlds had such traits, but he certainly did not!

He was a fire dragon, after all, his blood as hot as boiling water. Bath in it? A sprinkle of cumin and you could eat him as a snack.

Moreover, he had no desire to possess such traits. While they did seem to indicate a kind of strength inherent to powerful species, and just a small amount could greatly affect ordinary creatures, having such traits here ant one thing: get ready to be bled dry.

He could refuse, but could he refuse those incredibly strong weapons he saw online?

The very concerned red dragon corrected Zheng Yichen’s mistake with utmost seriousness, "It must be the residual scent of the blood that caused it."

"Don’t worry about it. Soone already drew your blood before, and your physiological traits will soon be researched," Zheng Yichen said to the uneasy fire dragon with a chuckle.

"Technology... Forget it, it’s the sa as so mages," the fire dragon wanted to complain, but then thought better of it as there didn’t seem to be anything worth complaining about.

Technological advancent required research, and magic developnt in his world required research, too. The difference was that once a technological breakthrough occurred, it could be easily applied across society, raising the overall standard. Magic wasn’t like that.

It depended on innate talent, whether a teacher was willing to teach, and whether they could teach well. Mages, too, had a strong desire for research.

Before his arrival in this world, he had been harassed by so mages who wanted his scales and blood. So attacked him outright, while others bothered to speak sweetly in negotiation. Sotis, when he got irritated, he would give them so of his shed scales to get rid of them.

As for the ones who attacked him, if he was stronger, he killed them; if he couldn’t beat them, he ran away with his treasures. Then, bearing a grudge, he would find out who they were and pester them relentlessly, day and night.

"You looking for for sothing? Not to fight, I hope?" The fire dragon glanced at Zheng Yichen warily.

Zheng Yichen fought like a Berserker, that rampage aura was too intense. Anyone with such strength seed to him likely to be a battle maniac.

"No fighting, no fighting. Just ca to learn a few things, study a bit, and maybe draw a little blood from you as well," Zheng Yichen replied.

"... You all must have issues," the fire dragon muttered, clearly annoyed. His blood wasn’t so precious as gold, after all. With his size, drawing a pound or two was nothing significant; as long as his nutrition kept up, it would replenish quickly.

"If you won’t give it, I’ll just take it myself."

"Take it, take it, take it!" The fire dragon glared at Zheng Yichen irritably, his massive eyes coming too close to Zheng Yichen, who almost couldn’t help but strike.

"While you’re at it, how about throwing in so magic knowledge."

"Oh? You want to learn magic? Hahaha, how could a brute like you possibly learn magic? Just yesterday, so people asked the sa thing. I tested them a bit, and they were all rubbish!"

When it ca to magic, the fire dragon straightened up imdiately. As a dragon, he was a natural-born mage, born with the power of magic, at the pinnacle from birth. Magic was sothing he could easily learn... provided the attributes matched.

Humans wishing to learn magic was not a one in a million chance, but maybe one in a hundred. And even the ones selected might not have the ability to learn profound magic. Having a talent didn’t an the talent was good or that one could go far with it.

Even if he provided enough magical knowledge, those who ca in contact with that knowledge wouldn’t be able to learn magic without the talent. Unlike technology, which anyone could use once the technique matured, magic was different.

Magic might be understood as a tool for wielding power, but it’s a choosy tool at that...
