Having concealed his own traces, Zheng Yichen looked down at his arms that were still healing. His constitution had beco stronger, but the recovery rate had not beco ridiculously fast; it seed his constitution was too tough for the quality of his regenerative abilities to keep up.
There wasn’t much sensation when the flesh was healing, but when it ca to the bones, he could feel a distinct hunger arising within his body.
He wanted to grab a handful of tea leaves he had obtained from Oma, but looking at his naked body, he realized that after taking a hit from the gorilla, it had turned into primitive fighting. At least he had so cloth on him then, and the items he carried were still intact. But after that punch, not a single piece of cloth remained on him.
Even the best-made pouches were shaken off and no longer on him.
Zheng Yichen glanced around and, while the blinded gorilla searched for his traces, he found a deeply unconscious beast that had been knocked out by the aftermath of the battle and seemingly already dead, and without any disgust for the raw flesh, he started gnawing on it.
He had devoured a vampire before, but that kind of vampire didn’t have a pair of sharp fangs for bloodsucking; they also bit into living creatures to feed. Plus, he had gained thermal vision, and his teeth had never beco sharp.
As for absorbing blood with the black spear, there was feedback, but that feedback did not alleviate his hunger.
Zheng Yichen, determined to kill the gorilla, prepared for a drawn-out battle. The gorilla’s body was more robust, but it didn’t seem to have a strong healing ability; its face, corroded by venom, showed no signs of healing, and in combat, healing abilities were undoubtedly a distinct advantage.
His powers of wind could isolate scents, directly making it difficult for the gorilla to track his whereabouts.
As ti passed, the gorilla grew increasingly agitated. Its fur changed from black to deep red, and its fra swelled from around three ters to nearly four ters, paired with a skull-like face, looking extrely ferocious.

Cunning? Zheng Yichen didn’t think so at all. He was out to kill the gorilla today, and if not today, then tomorrow!
The furious gorilla continuously vented its rage within the Alien Phenonon zone, and as ti went on, the distortions around it grew more severe. Zheng Yichen even saw so cracks erging from within the distortions.
This made him click his tongue, thinking it seed a bit exaggerated.
Those cracks didn’t seem to have any substantial destructive power either. Zheng Yichen saw that the gorilla had touched the black cracks several tis, but it didn’t seem to fare any worse than when Zheng Yichen had co into contact with the distortions himself.
As for the creatures sucked into the phenonon’s fissures, Zheng Yichen could only sympathize; in its rampage, the gorilla’s strikes sent out fierce shockwaves that collapsed fragile buildings on impact and covered sturdier ones with a dense network of cracks.
An hour later, Zheng Yichen stood sowhat numbly surveying his surroundings. He couldn’t see any random objects anymore; everything had been flattened by the gorilla. Now sated, the gorilla panted heavily.
It sniffed about, found a dazed beast that had fallen from the distortion in the phenonon, and opened its already lipless mouth, ready to bite. But at that mont, a column of fire flew over, turning the beast into charred at.
Environntal Adjustnt was not tailored to all living creatures; ordinary beasts appearing in such a high-level environnt suffered the sa fate as ordinary people. Even with so enhancent, they could not match entities specifically fortified in that environnt, instantly gaining powerful strength upon entering a higher tier.
It was still the sa; without adaptability, even if they beca stronger in a higher-level environnt, their at only tasted sowhat better...
"ROAR—" Angered by the destruction of its food, the gorilla howled in fury. But blind and unable to locate Zheng Yichen due to his complete concealnt, it simply couldn’t find him.
However, as soon as the gorilla found new food, Zheng Yichen would always intervene imdiately, denying it any chance to replenish its energy by eating.

Outside the Alien Phenonon zone, Jiang Fuxing stared at the now stationary phenonon, puzzled along with her teammates. Phenona were always on the move, but now it had stopped, and during the past hour, terrifying roars had emanated from within.
There were even impacts erupting from the phenonon, and the images on its surface grew more horrific.
"What on earth is happening in there..." soone wondered, their curiosity about the events inside peaking. But the phenonon was off-limits to them, and with such trendous activity, none of them dared to enter. However, Jiang Fuxing’s words caught their attention.
The phenonon might disappear? Afterwards, could they obtain nurous resources native to its interior?
If true, needless to say, they would have to go to war with the nearby marauders afterward...
For now, though...
"I think we should keep our distance."
Soone proposed this, and Jiang Fuxing nodded, "Good, let’s stay a bit further away."
Enjoynt requires living first; monsters might erge from the Alien Phenonon zone at any ti, and staying further away ant they could escape earlier if an accident occurred.
They ended up waiting for over a day. Had it not been for the frequent huge noises coming from inside the Alien Phenonon zone, Jiang Fuxing and the others would have thought Zheng Yichen was tricking them, wasting so much ti here.
However, the continuous noises and Zheng Yichen’s words made them unwilling to leave directly.
Inside the Alien Phenonon zone, Zheng Yichen panted as he watched the giant gorilla in the distance. Throughout the day, he had repeatedly ruined the gorilla’s chances to feed dozens of tis.
At first, the gorilla would angrily transform into red fur, but later it seed to give up. Even if Zheng Yichen destroyed its food, it would just howl in dissatisfaction, looking as if it had lost all hope. But the mont Zheng Yichen made his move last ti, the gorilla suddenly went on a rampage and smashed the fireball Zheng Yichen had thrown.

Deep into the night, the gorilla went on a frenzy once again, stronger than any before. After the rampage, barely anything normal could be seen in the entire Alien Phenonon zone, only severely distorted phenona continually giving rise to new anomalies.
These anomalies beca the targets of the gorilla’s vented fury.
Zheng Yichen looked at the items he had collected, brought over by the distortion of the Alien Phenonon. There were weapons and equipnt, as well as other items like radios and even so firecrackers.
When the gorilla was quiet, a breeze carried over the firecrackers, and they went off, roaring in the dead of night.
Outside, the people in Jiang Fuxing’s temporary camp slept uneasily, occasionally startled by heart-shaking roars. They even worried that if they slept too deeply, they might never wake up.

"Captain, it’s been almost a week."
"Mm-hmm," Jiang Fuxing nodded, gazing at the unmoving Alien Phenonon zone. Over these days, they had even clashed with marauders who had co by, but those marauders fled screaming after the Alien Phenonon made noises, having no intention of fighting here, sparing them a lot of trouble.
The frequency of roars from inside the Alien Phenonon had been diminishing.
She felt that the ’battle’ inside was about to yield a result.
Inside the Alien Phenonon zone, Zheng Yichen’s eyes were bloodshot as he viciously bit into the bloodied piece of flesh. It felt similar to the ti when he was being chased by a group of pursuers, except this ti he was the aggressor, though sadly, without any ally to coordinate with—just him enduring against the giant gorilla.
But the gorilla was in a worse state than he was. At least he could eat, while the gorilla had not drunk water for days. It tried to find water, but the sources were destroyed by Zheng Yichen himself, causing the water to drain away, and all the food had been burned by him.
The chance of living creatures appearing during Alien Phenonon distortions was not too high. It sufficed to burn these creatures as soon as they were detected.
Indifference was not an option; allowing the gorilla to eat and recover was out of the question, as it would still an death for those creatures dragged there by the Alien Phenonon distortion.
