He had to snap his fingers more than once within six seconds.
"I am destiny!"
Even at such a critical mont, Lucien still put on a show, his arrogance fully intact.
Snap.
The sharp sound rang out, tal clashing as his fingers struck together.
In an instant, with Asgard at the center, an overwhelming wave of energy exploded outward and swept across the universe. Odin and the others were blasted away, and countless Asgardian warriors began to crumble into dust.
Inside the palace, Thor and Roger were not spared.
On Earth, figures like Spider-Man, Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Captain Marvel, and the Fantastic Four all began to disintegrate.
Every hero and villain Lucien had ever seen or heard of, regardless of whether they had awakened their powers or not, turned into drifting ash.
At the sa ti, an imnse stream of information flooded the useless Golden Finger. Countless nas flickered rapidly, major characters, minor characters, villains of every level, all being recorded and harvested.
Lucien had stripped everything in one ruthless sweep.
"Damn it!"
The energy quickly dissipated, and Lucien cursed hoarsely, his mouth slightly open in shock.
His entire right arm was destroyed beyond use. Regeneration was heavily suppressed, what once healed in a breath now crawled forward at an unbearable pace.
Under normal circumstances, it would take at least a year for his arm to fully regenerate.
But he had no ti to dwell on it.
He needed to snap his fingers again.
The first snap had targeted all Marvel characters he knew, heroes and villains alike, thrown together without distinction. He had even included characters from DC like Superman and The Flash, though he doubted it would have much effect on them.
Still, it cost him nothing to try.
The vibranium gauntlet shifted, transferring the Infinity Gems into his left hand. Lucien gasped, a twisted grin spreading across his face.
"I truly am destiny."
Odin's furious roar echoed behind him.
Lucien snapped again.
Another violent surge of energy erupted. Asgard began to collapse completely, structures crumbling as reality itself trembled.
This ti, his target was different.
All supernatural abilities.
Anyone who possessed power, whether through superpowers, magic, scientific enhancent, divine blessing, or advanced technology, was erased.
They turned to dust instantly.
Only ordinary beings were left alive.
Across the universe, entire factions were wiped out in seconds. Civilizations built on power collapsed, leaving behind nothing but silence.
Of course, there were still beings capable of resisting the Infinity Gems, but those existed far beyond normal limits.
On Earth, every individual who had gained extraordinary abilities, whether through mutation, genetics, or divine influence, vanished.
Only normal humans remained.
This second wave once again fed a massive amount of data into the Golden Finger, more characters, more Dice, more rewards.
In Lucien's mind, anyone with power who would have mattered in the future was either a hero or a villain. The difference was only in their level of importance.
Now, he had erased them all in one move.
Perfect efficiency.
"Damn it!"
Lucien's aura plumted violently. His body was on the verge of collapse, more than half of it severely damaged. His flesh looked torn and charred, barely holding together.
The countdown did not allow a third snap.
Even if it did, his body would not survive it.
Space rippled around him.
Lucien vanished from the collapsing remains of Asgard.
"I will find you!"
Odin remained, one of the few still standing. His eyes were bloodshot, his voice filled with fury and madness.
Lucien had deliberately spared him.
Odin still had value.
But Lucien was already gone.
He reappeared on the top floor of Stark Tower.
Inside the office with floor-to-ceiling windows, Pepper Potts was calmly handling company affairs.
Tony Stark's death had not affected her. She was now a Demon under Lucien's control, existing only to serve him.
Every other female lead and supporting character in the Marvel universe was gone. Anyone Lucien had ever seen or heard of had been erased.
Only Pepper remained.
This was the escape route he had prepared.
"Mr. An!"
Lucien suddenly appeared and collapsed onto the sofa. His arms and half his body looked completely scorched, the damage so severe it startled Pepper.
"Damn it, this snap is hard to endure."
With Pepper's support, Lucien sat upright, his body drenched in sweat.
He knew clearly that a third snap would have killed him.
"Mr. An, what do you need to do?"
Pepper quickly grabbed a towel and wiped the sweat from his body. Her white shirt strained against her chest, and her slit skirt revealed her legs wrapped in black stockings.
Lucien did not even glance at her.
He waved her away.
A Senzu Bean appeared in his hand. Without hesitation, he swallowed it.
This was no ti to hold back.
Even though the Bifrost had been destroyed, Odin could descend upon Earth at any mont. Waiting years for natural recovery was not an option.
As the Senzu Bean took effect, Lucien's body surged with life. His tabolism accelerated, and the dead cells from half his body were expelled rapidly.
His weakened aura rose steadily.
Within a few monts, his condition improved dramatically.
After more than ten breaths, Lucien stood up and stretched, his body fully restored, even stronger than before.
The damaged vibranium gauntlet peeled away from his arm. It had taken heavy damage, but it could recover by devouring suitable tals later.
Sitting back down, Lucien opened the system interface and began reviewing his gains.
The mont he saw the results, he froze.
Lines of information filled the screen endlessly.
Each entry showed incrents like 1 and 3 beside different characters, stacking into a ridiculous total.
Lucien broke into a wide grin.
Unfortunately, there was only one VIP reward, Thor.
Ten minutes later, everything was sorted.
Characters like Spider-Man, Lizard, and even others across different worlds were all reduced to Dice rewards.
Ordinary Dice were imdiately converted into Lucky Value Dice.
Including his previous savings and the gains from the two snaps, the total reached twenty-one Lucky Value Dice.
Twenty-one.
He also had three ordinary Dice remaining, along with Thor's VIP reward.
In addition, completing the Infinity Gem mission had granted three more VIP Dice.
That made four VIP Dice in total.
And twenty-one Lucky Value Dice.
Lucien leaned back, laughing softly.
"I'm rich."
He genuinely loved this world.
The only drawback was that the Infinity Gems had been absorbed by the Golden Finger.
That part was irritating.
Now it was obvious that the so-called useless Golden Finger was anything but useless.
It had even devoured the Infinity Gems.
He had underestimated it completely.
Still, without the gems, reaching this level would have been far more difficult.
"Update conditions t."
"Do you want to update?"
The familiar prompt appeared.
Lucien was not surprised.
From the mont the system acknowledged the Infinity Gems, he had already expected this. Every update required energy, and nothing contained more energy than the gems themselves.
He did not hesitate.
He chose to update.
What gave him pause was whether to use his Lucky Value Dice now. Every system upgrade had always brought improvents.
After thinking it through, he decided to wait.
Rolling after the update might yield better results.
As for his lifespan, he still had over twenty years left.
There was no urgency.
Version 1.0 had been restrictive.
Version 2.0 changed updates from monthly to yearly and improved rewards.
Version 3.0 allowed ten Dice to combine into Lucky Value Dice.
Version 4.0 introduced tasks with varying rewards.
Now, Version 5.0 was coming.
He wanted to see what it would bring.
The countdown appeared.
Three days remained, just like before.
