"Loki! If you want to fight for the throne, that is between us. Do not drag Earth into it."
Thor fell silent for a brief mont, the fury on his face slowly settling into a cold calm.
"Haha, it is too late!"
Loki's expression was filled with disdain, not a trace of regret in his eyes.
"You incorrigible bastard."
Thor grabbed Loki by the collar again, his right fist rising as he prepared to strike. Loki did not even flinch, his lips curling into a mocking smile as he stared straight at Thor.
"Your bigger problem is already here."
The sarcasm on Loki's face faded slightly as his gaze shifted behind Thor. A figure was descending from the sky.
Thor turned sharply, his expression changing at once.
At the sa ti, Captain Arica and the others, still locked in battle with the Chitauri army, noticed the figure hovering mid air near Stark Tower. A heavy weight settled in their chests.
"My luck is not bad at all."
Theo first glanced at the Cosmic Cube device, then shifted his eyes to the Mind Stone scepter in Loki's hand. A faint smile appeared on his pale, disheveled face.
The reason he had abandoned his fight with Lucien and rushed back was simple. He could not allow the stone to fall into the hands of Zhou Tianyu or the Supre Mage.
He reached out and grabbed at the air. An overwhelming gravitational force seized Loki, dragging him forward. Loki could not resist in the slightest and was pulled straight toward Theo, fear filling his eyes.
Thor swung Mjolnir, trying to stop him, but Theo simply pressed his hand downward from a distance. Thor was slamd into the ground instantly, cracks spreading across the concrete as his body was pinned in place.
The air around Thor turned hazy gray. Gravity itself had been twisted.
"Loki!"
Veins bulged across Thor's neck and forehead. His eyes widened as he forced himself upward against the crushing force. He managed to stand, but that was all. He could not even take a single step.
"As expected of Thor."
Theo was not surprised. In terms of raw strength, Thor stood at the peak among the Avengers. Only Hulk could truly rival him.
After all, he was a god.
But to Theo, he was still far too weak.
Theo raised his hand again and pressed down harder. The gravity doubled. Thor crashed back into the ground, roaring as he struggled.
"Killing you would take a bit of effort."
Loki's arm lifted uncontrollably, his face bruised and swollen as he fought against the invisible force. He could not stop himself from handing over the Mind Stone scepter.
Theo had no intention of killing Loki. There was no need.
Odin, the King of the Gods, might be old and nearing his end, but his strength still existed. In the grand sche of things, provoking that kind of existence was unnecessary.
Just as Theo reached for the scepter, sothing changed.
A roar echoed from below.
Hulk leaped upward, his massive fist aid directly at Theo's back. At the sa mont, Iron Man shot into the air, attempting to snatch the scepter.
No sound followed the impact.
Hulk's expression twisted in pain. His fist stopped mid strike, caught in an invisible force. His entire body froze in the air, unable to move.
Iron Man suffered the sa fate, suspended helplessly.
"Jarvis, what is happening?"
Iron Man stared at the scepter within reach, yet he could not move even an inch closer.
"Sir, the surrounding force field has been altered."
"What?"
Tony's expression darkened as he looked at Theo.
"If you interfere again, I will kill you."
A thin line of blood slid from Theo's lips. The injuries Lucien had inflicted were beginning to flare up again.
Boom!
A massive repulsive force erupted outward. Loki, Hulk, and Iron Man were blasted away like arrows, smashing through buildings before crashing into the ground, buried under dust and debris.
Crackling sounds filled the air.
As Theo shifted from repulsion, the gravity binding Thor vanished. Seizing the mont, Thor grabbed Mjolnir, lightning surging through it as he hurled it at Theo with full force.
The impact sent Theo crashing through a building and into the ground, forming a massive crater. Smoke and dust billowed outward, obscuring everything.
Theo's telekinesis allowed him to control gravity, attraction, repulsion, and even magnetic forces. However, there was a flaw. He could not use two forces at the sa ti, and there was a brief delay between switching them.
Under normal circumstances, Thor's attack would not have hard him at all. But that single mont of vulnerability, combined with his injuries, created an opening.
As the dust settled, Theo slowly lifted his head, his cold gaze locking onto Stark Tower. Without hesitation, he shot back into the sky.
Thor, gripping Mjolnir in one hand and the Mind Stone scepter in the other, had barely regained his footing before he was slamd down again.
The Chitauri army continued pouring out of the portal without end. Worse still, so of them began attacking Theo.
That only worsened his already foul mood.
With a single hand, Theo seized a sixty story building. The ground trembled violently as he ripped it free and hurled it like a spear toward the portal, crushing countless Chitauri along its path.
Pfft.
A sickening sound echoed.
Thor's body was pierced by exposed steel rods from the shattered ground. He was pinned upright, blood pouring from his mouth and nose.
The Mind Stone scepter slipped from his hand.
Theo reached out to grab it.
Then, another interruption.
An energy blast struck the scepter, knocking it away. At the sa ti, Hulk roared and slamd into Theo once more.
Hulk and Iron Man had returned.
"You pests who do not value your lives, I will grant your wish."
A white pressure shield ford around Theo's right hand as he punched forward.
The air itself shattered.
Hulk's face twisted in agony as fragnts of his internal organs burst from his mouth. He was sent flying even faster than before, carving a deep trench through the ground before crashing into rubble, unable to rise.
His internal organs were nearly destroyed. Even for him, recovery would take ti.
At the sa mont, Iron Man snatched the scepter and ignited his thrusters, flying toward the portal.
"Sir, be careful!"
In an instant, Tony shifted mid air as a steel rod shot past him, nearly skewering him.
Before he could recover, a crushing gravitational force slamd down on him.
He plumted toward the ground.
"Jarvis, full thrust, now!"
Energy flared from his hands, feet, and shoulders as he tried to slow his descent.
Boom!
The ground shattered beneath him. Debris and dust exploded outward as Iron Man lay in the crater. His mask slid open, revealing a blood covered face, his breathing faint.
He was already severely injured. This blow pushed him to the brink.
Theo descended slowly, extending his hand. The Mind Stone scepter flew into his grasp.
Another attack ca instantly.
Steve Rogers hurled his vibranium shield, aiming to disrupt him. Theo casually punched it aside. Before Steve could even land, a steel rod pierced through his waist.
He was taken out instantly.
Gunshots rang out.
Natasha appeared, firing both pistols. Bullets cut through the air toward Theo.
With a simple wave of his hand, the bullets reversed direction.
Natasha reacted quickly, rolling across the ground, but one bullet still struck her abdon. She collapsed, blood spreading beneath her.
Theo prepared to finish them all.
Then he suddenly paused.
His head tilted upward as his expression shifted.
Without hesitation, he shot toward the top of Stark Tower.
He needed the Cosmic Cube imdiately.
Because a massive energy presence was rapidly approaching Earth from deep space.
That presence could only belong to one being.
That guy was coming.
